If you choose this path, accept the inconveniences that come with it
The most interesting and unexpected phrase I discovered while taking the Inner Developmental Goals Course was "If you choose the path, accept the inconveniences that come with it" (the phrase is imprecise, in my own words, but it conveys the intended meaning).
It had a profound impact on me and made me think about many things. Indeed, when athletes choose to train, they also choose to injure themselves. Scientists, choosing to dedicate their lives to their projects, understand that they will have to work many nights instead of sleeping.
I think the desire to succeed and the unwillingness to tolerate the inconveniences that come with it were my biggest problem. I wanted to get good grades at university, but I didn't give up nightclubs, which led to me sleeping in in the morning and skipping lectures, after which I blamed myself for laziness and lack of willpower.
After taking the Inner Developmental Goals Course, I thought a lot and talked about this with my friends. It turns out this is a fairly common feeling. We've come to the conclusion that the biggest problem in achieving a goal is overestimating your own resources. We're all human, we only have 24 hours in a day; we need to eat, sleep, and rest. And if we've set a goal, we also need to understand how much time and effort it will take, and what other goals and activities we'll have to give up.
What do you think about this?
Have you ever regretted having to give up others, perhaps sacrificing other areas of your life, for the sake of one goal?

Hardwork makes success taste sweeter! Overcoming obstacles are also proof of how dedicated we are to our goal. I've never regretted anything that I've done for my dreams and passions! Great insight, Mia! This made me reflect.

Hi Mia,
Thank you for your post! I’ve definitely felt regret when letting people go before. However, I’ve also found that I’ve learned from those experiences and grown as a person.
