What's your identity?

What is your best identity ? Your first way to see yourself or show yourself to others... when someone asks you to tell them about yourself whats your heartfelt way of responding to it - when there is no expectation of medium in which the question is posed.

Physical appearance? Ethnicity ? Culture? Religion or lack of one? Personality? Profession? Education? Gender? Some particular circumstances youre living with that have defined you?

For me.... ethnic and religious and gender and age revelations feel uncomfortable.... because these arent true standards by which you decide anything about anyone.... yet thats how society runs. Its the usual way of conversation.

People i know refer to me as someone crazy because i talk to myself, walk absentmindedly , look obviously sad sometimes.... there are others who refer to me as a really nice polite person ... there are still others who associate my existence first with my family ... and some with my education (as it was a little different from the norm here).... and there are some who identify me by my appearance - sometimes they call me good looking .

When I was in a different country people often asked me about my ethnicity as the first question. Nearly always it was this way. And it felt deeply uncomfortable...I wish people wouldn't classify each other on racial/ color groups.

This is all my experience with people.

How do I identify myself? If i were to describe in a line id say im someone who is striving to be good and learning wise ways/ skills of goodness with all kinds of lapses on the journey. And maybe this translates as being a pretty flower (bright, gentle, growing, enduring) and a bird (free, brave) and like water (living, soothing, adapting).
