Hi everyone,

You may know me from @amiablebunny4016's corner/diary entries post or you may have seen me in group chats. Or this is the first time you ever met me.

First let me introduce myself: You can call me Bunny/Violet/bun bun on 7cups (if you have any other nicknames created for me let me know and I will add to list). I am 13 years old from the UK. I have a big passion to create an anti-bullying campaign because of my personal experiences. I have been bullied for over 6 years and I am tired now. So if the voices of my generation wont be heard. If bullying wont be taken seriously in schools from now on.... I am starting a campaign. Together we can stop bullying and hatred. Together.

**IMPORTANT NOTICE** This thread is for topics related to Bullying/Discrimination. Please try to avoid bringing other issues into this thread. I AM NOT SAYING YOUR ISSUES ARE NOT IMPORTANT. THEY ARE EQUALLY AS IMPORTANT. However, this campaign is for Bullying. I would appreciate if you respect that. Thank you.

According to the most recent National Center for Educational Statistics, more than 20% of students report being bullied. Report being the important word there. Only 36% of bullying victims actually report it, so that number is likely significantly higher.

Everyday, more and more children are keeping quiet from this. Often avoiding going to school. More and more adults are being bullied at work. Bullying isn't just something small. Words can shatter and scar us.

This is a global community so I am trying to connect the world together so we can stand against bullying.

Here is some information from Anti-Bullying Alliance. These are a group of people from the UK who are working together to eradicate bullying:

In 2017 Public Health England released research from a 2014 consultation with 5,335 young people aged 11-15 years old. They found:

  • 17.9% of 11-15 year olds reported being bullied online in the two months prior to being surveyed
  • girls were twice as likely as boys to report being bullied online
  • online bullying increased with age for both boys and girls; the reported prevalence rates of cyberbullying at age 15 were almost double those for 11 year olds
  • online bullying is associated with socio-economic status. Young people from more affluent families were more likely to report being victims of online bullying
  • young people who reported positive family communication, especially with a father, were less likely to experience online bullying
  • positive perceptions of the school environment were associated with lower levels of online bullying
  • online bullying was associated with feelings of safety in young people’s local neighbourhood

I am starting an Anti-Bullying Campaign from now on here.

From now on, I am not afraid anymore. I will stand up against this.

Trigger warning: self harm, suic1de.(only in the blue paragraphs)

Due to bullying in schools/workplaces, there has been in a rapid increase in the number of cases of self harm and suic1de. It has also lead to a huge number of people doing extreme acts harmful to mental health and physical welbeing.

Bullying is never okay. Together we can stop this. Raising our voices is the only thing we can do to make our voices heard! Since the adults will not take it seriously, then we will. We are in this together.

Often when young people have their own issues or they arent happy with their own life, they step on the necks of other students. Try to act big. Thinking its a joke/banter. But its NOT A JOKE. ITS NOT BANTER. They dont realise the amount of lives lost to bullying. They dont realise how much of an affect it has.

(next part is coming)

Bullying is not a joke or banter. Bullying is not okay. And stepping on the necks of other people just because your suffering isn't okay. Bullying isnt something so small or its not a joke. It can have a huge impact on our minds.

I Suffered from bullying. I was a victim. And there are many other victims out there suffering in silence.

Here is my story.

I was one person. I was a human being. I am not an different animal. i am not a different species. But often I felt like a different person in school.. I felt like the odd one out. This is my story

(in the next part )

When i was younger, I was always the quiet kid. I worked so hard in school. I would always try my best to just be myself but it was so hard when everyone kept saying the same rude things to me.

I remember having no confidence at all in myself. They used to send me notes about how they thought I was a "fu***ng nerd" or an "idiot". They would laugh and talk about me. Sometimes they would purposely ask me triggering questions to make me upset. I kept quiet about this most of my life.

I was the Silent child who always kept her head down.

As i grew up it always got worse....I didnt believe in myself at all.

I didn't have friends. People would whisper and talk about me.

It got really bad.

They would say such horrible things, make fun of my real name. I felt invisble. It was like no one loved me at all.

When i was 11 i became depressed. Too many people were saying things about me. I was cyber-bullied and people would call me names and spread rumours about me.

And now.... often i get people being physically abusive. Trying to grab me and tell me I am useless or try and shount at me and bark at me. I dont feel like im myself anymore. It feels like my world has tipped upside down and everything......just went dark.

I was holding so many things inside of me. I still am. Teachers wouldnt do much and all they can say is "we are doing all we can" or "we are trying our best"

trigger warning: suicide, sh

It doesn't sound as serious as i speak. But days go by. Months went by. And still things got worse.

I became suicidal. I also did self harm because i thought there words reflected me.

The reality is, those words didn't reflect upon who i am. It reflected them only. They were just reflecting their pain and insecurities on me. I was just damn stupid. I didn't realise. They are so unhappy with their life, they lost how to talk to someone and so they almost cover themselves with this covering and step on other people around them. And its the reality of bullying. It happens to most young people across the world.

They were using me as a mirror.

I became lonely and depresed. There were days I would cry and stand on a bridge and wanted to do such things.....Life was dark.

But now I have realised who i really am.

We are all amazing, strong, worthy people. Its normal to wanna feel loved and respected. Its normal. Just remember: lots of people love you. lots of people care. and Just because a few people are picking on you or lots of people are on about you. No one can define you. Only you define yourself. Choose who you wanna be okay?

I am me. I am me forever. I will be spending my whole life with myself. Thats why, I am my own friend. I am me now :)

Please. If your a victim. Please speak up about it. dont make the same mistake I made.
