Today was teachers day in our school

On seeing all the emotion we can hold?

The tragedy of life?

For what is joy,

When achieved without any strife?

And we go through each trial, 

Begging for better times

Strength is in denial, 

In finding life’s rhymes

Have you never seen a smile,

And all the things undone

Never watched words, pouring out,

And heard what’s already gone?

Have you never read between the lines,

Of love and faith and despair

Have you never really noticed

Why we ever bother to care?

Unimportant, Insignificant,

I can barely live without, 

All roads eventually must bend

That’s without a doubt

But have you ever noticed,

Useless emotion, dull platitudes, 

Can save lives, and do much more, 

And grant us fortitude
