[Outdated] LDP Student Meetup Meeting Notes: July 24 2020

Things Discussed:

Introductions: Feel free to share how long youve been part of the 7 Cups community and what you would like to achieve by the end of this program.

Leadership Goals and Current Work: Which leadership roles are you interested in pursuing? If you are currently working in any leadership roles, feel welcome to share your current commitments!

A common theme that we all learned is that we all are interested in learning new things as well as giving back to our community.

Team Dashboard: This dashboard will help you and the community team know and track your progress. The leadership role check-list is not mandatory but is recommended especially if you are looking to pursue the leadership roles. There's also a check-list about course completion. Please fill that out so we can track your progress with you. Please check your alerts for the link to the dashboard or PM @Heather225!

A separate Feedback sheet is also available to help share your suggestions as well as feedback.

We noticed that we have some experienced leaders currently onboarded in various community roles and were wondering if these students would be interested in mentorship roles based on their established experience!

This would allow opportunities for guidance and support based on leadership experiences as well as things learned from the course as Graduates. Such mentorship can be applied to all of our community areas and so we can expect new roles for people interested in helping out in this way! This idea is currently under development so you can share your feedback with us!

(i) Does the course have a deadline?

While the Program does not have a deadline, it is recommended that you complete the discussion threads by the end of each week. This not only allows easier tracking but more engagement through discussions as we are learning and supporting each other as well

(ii) Under the My Path, Certification/Training - there are leadership courses at the bottom, but no real way to complete them. Is there a plan to revamp that?

Our best tracking is currently the Team Dashboard. Those Path listings can offer you a blueprint of the program though! Your notifications will have alerts to weekly discussions and other important updates as well as announcements.

(iii) What does Participate in 3 Sharing Circles entail?

You just need to join them, it is not required to lead/host them.

(iv) What if we have already done things on the checklist? Should we check those off?

Yes, please check them off. It's just for building experience. If you've already completed some checklist items before this course you don't have to do extra.

(v) What are the 3 Key Things?

3 Key Things is an area to help mark and celebrate our daily milestones and progress achievements - Leaders Lifting Leaders!

(vi) Is there a summary or mind map regarding the various leadership roles one can pursue?

Currently, you can use the slide-deck guide to leadership roles. We will be working on creating one visual mind-map to help clarify the roles in a shorter format!
