@Heather225 I scored 10/10 again. It's a wonderful opportunity to learn so much about community building. This is not only going to help me become a great leader here on 7 Cups, but also help me lead my teams in real life aspects.

@Heather225

Completed ! Thanks for the resources.

Here is what I learnt from chapter 7 :
This chapter focused on making sure that the leaders understand that a community flourishes when more people are ready and feel responsible to be next leaders, instead of simply followers. It is the responsibility of the current leader to find genuinely motivated and interested people and help them find out positions and responsibilities as community leads. It is also important to keep track of how they are performing and adjusting in their role and either transforming their role or letting them go if they are not a natural fit. Sometimes people change and roles change and it is okay to update our systems accordingly.

Here's what I learnt from chapter 8:
This chapter highlighted the importance of supporting leaders on their journey from the very beginning of their engagement, including welcoming, onboarding and clear set of responsibilities. This chapter also shared a way to solve the problem of excess tasks by classifying them into different categories: valuable, not valuable but necessary, neither valuable nor necessary. In this way the leaders can feel supported and engaged in their activities inside a community.

@ButterflyBuddy

Thanks for sharing your insights! I loved reading your reflections that show you really dug into the material! I also learned about the task classifications when I first took this course—reminded me of the 4 quadrants, on a more individual basis (post on it here).
