Hello everyone,

If you are reading this, it means you have come a long way in your leadership training. Kudos to you for all the effort and resilience you have shown! It is amazing how you all are open to learning and adapting to new environments: the environment of leadership!

Before we zoom in and talk more about learning and adapting, lets zoom back out first and talk about how you feel about leadership. Regardless of how you see yourself, there is a leader within you. The one who visualizes how things could have run in a better way if you were in the leading spot. Leading spot here means:

  • A desire for change

  • Believing you got the abilities to make it happen

  • Visualizing success while keeping in mind the bigger picture.

Lets take a look at the leadership styles as proposed by Daniel Goleman

Your original style could be any of them. So for the purpose of this course, we are going to use a leadership style test to help you identify your core competencies. In brief, we are using the test here to help you identify your leadership approach. So, when you know how you approach an event, you could think and put efforts to bring a change in it. It will allow you to polish your strengths and focus to improve in other different areas as well.

Let's get started!

- Please take the leadership style test linked HERE.

@Hope

✒️ Which leadership style did you score the highest for?
I scored the highest for the Democratic or Participative leadership style.

✒️ Do you agree with this quiz?
Yes, I do agree with the result! I naturally like to involve others when making decisions and value their input. This helps build trust and makes people feel respected. However, I can also see how this style might slow things down in high-pressure situations. It's something I'm aware of and try to balance when quick decisions are needed.

@Hope I scored highest on the democratic leadership style.

I don't agree with the test, I feel it doesn't reflect my actual leadership style.

@Hope

✒️ Which leadership style did you score the highest for?

I scored highest for Pacesetting leader (31/35)

✒️ Do you agree with this quiz?

I don't agree with this quiz as I enjoy collaborating with others and according to the website, pacesetters are disinclined from collaborating with others unless they need something, which I don't believe I identify with. I feel that my values align more with democratic or affiliative leader because I like making sure everyones opinion is included and valued, and like to cultivate relationships with others I work with.

@Always25

Maybe you can use your strengths in the visionary leadership style to grow your democratic leadership! And then you can combine them together.  You naturally are good at having a clear inspiring vision so you can build on that by involving others fairly in the process. Maybe by inviting everyone's feedback to ensure you all agree on the vision, then by collaborating on how to achieve that vision. In this way you'd be leading with your team towards your shared goal.

I am a visionary leader.

That’s really cool to visualise a better future and followed by coaching leader which focuses more on guidance and encouragement. I am glad that I am becoming a leader which I would like to have myself too.

@Hope

✒️ Which leadership style did you score the highest for?

I got visionary as my highest score!

✒️ Do you agree with this quiz?

I'd like to say I agree earnestly with the results. I notice that in team settings and projects, I often ask for everyone's input and ideals when moving towards a goal. After all, the end product should be a culmination of the team's efforts and ideas.

@Hope

✒️ Which leadership style did you score the highest for?

Commanding

✒️ Do you agree with this quiz?

I do agree. Because through my recent interactions with teamwork. I usually had a team that wasn't excited to work they usually want the stuff done. With that kind of team it's hard to have creative way with going around because all the team cares about is just getting the job done it's doesn't matter for them if it weighs on a person more than the other. We'd end having many passive team members because they're not willing to put in the work. The best way I work around that is by commanding each team member to do a specific task so, that everyone gets involved.

@benevolentCloud9834

However, I reckon with a team that's willing to put in more work I'd be a visionary leader that's my second highest after commanding. I really like creating and setting new ideas. Maybe with the right set of teammates. I'd lean towards visionary.
