Studies have shown that when we hear difference of opinions from someone who is different from us, it provokes more thought than when it comes from someone who looks like us.

Having a diverse team means that there is a diverse level of experience, creativity, perspectives and allows for diverse interacts with different cultures. Different cultures have different ways of speaking and dealing with problems, having a diverse team makes this a better process for all cultures involved.

We can be respectful of others and other cultures by being inclusive and being open to the differences we all bring to the table of life. By being patient, open and understanding of all the styles people may bring, it allows for a fully inclusive environment and this is in line with 7Cups values and culture and is also a conductive envrionment for helping others in general.

The advantages of a diverse team are so large, there are so many ways to be diverse, race, country, neurodiversity, LGBTQ+, gender and so much more. Some advantages are: A larger skill set of the people on this site, People who have personal understanding of most situations, Being able to reach more people. We can be respectful by avoiding stereotypes and not making assumptions, and by being patient with the other people on this site

Diversity brings on greater productivity, new and advanced skills, different perspectives and ways of thinking that might help with getting creative ideas and problem solving with different strategies as well as having an international platform means that we can reach out to members speaking different languages and have varying religions

We can learn their culture and accept as well as respect their different perspectives even if they are strange to you, by being patient with them as we all speak in different ways and our backgrounds aren't close to being the same so we all learn and grow on our own pace

More views provide that people would bring something new to community. It is more coverage on how many countries/timezones are involved, therefore how many people is helping and receiving help. It is also an oppurtunity to learn different ways people live, think and expirience.

Not using prejudices as main mindset in conversations. Remembering about timezones. Remembering that people live different ways and can be unavailable in certain days due local celebrities or even by the need of self-care. Respecting beliefs, worldviews and points of sight because they can be different, even for those two people who are close to each other.

Increased awareness, inclusivity, respect, and a significant step against prejudice and discrimination. Many sociological researches have found that discrimination and prejudice increase due to a lack of awareness and inclusivity. E.g. in many Western communities, prejudice against Muslims, blacks, and Asians continues because of media propaganda. A diverse teams will encourage inter-personal communication and hopefully tackle discrimination.

How can we be respectful of different cultures on 7 Cups?

By actively addressing and acknowledging cultural, ethnic, and religious differences and promoting inter-cultural dialogue through forums, activities, and perhaps even cultural awareness weeks :)

A diverse team can bring in more support , more new and creative ideas , a great chance to get to know about different cultures and people , opportunity to increase our personal skillsets while meeting new people and learning about how do they do certain things etc ..

4. Be tolerant and patient with people around, not everyone has the same knowledge as us , and it's always good to be calm while supporting

5. Asking questions for clarifications in case of any misunderstanding and an open communication overall to avoid any issues .

6. Be a part of other's celebrations and special days , there's nothing better than to be a part of someone's happiness

7. Believe in the power of Unity in Diversity , because as we all join hands for a good cause, it will be fruitful to all , being an enriching experience for the entire team .
