How about you?
Hi. Sometimes I find it sort of easy to know who I’m attracted to and sometimes it’s just so overwhelming. I like both men and women. But I was quite always so sure I like only men even though I remember I was around 12 outside with my girl friend and I told her: ‘I hope I’m not lesbian’ and she said:’ yeah I hope I’m not either’. And that was it. I’ve buried it very deep and made sure not to think about it again. But life went on and somehow it just kept coming back. And I still was denying it. And after a rough year I realised I am bisexual. I can’t just choose one. I’ve always liked men and women too but I still find it sometimes so confusing. And I’m sort of also choosing to focus on dating women though I haven’t properly dated any woman. I just feel like if I start to date with a man it’s gonna be harder to explore my other sides and perhaps feel trapped. Those are just my thoughts and I think Im thinking about it way too much. I don’t exactly know what I want but I know I would like to explore with women. How about you? I would like to here your story.

It can be hard navigating our sexuality and exploring feelings!
Allow yourself to follow your instincts.
Have fun and just be you .
There's no rush!
And no one way to love.
I hope many people share their experiences with you!

Please don’t put any pressure on yourself. There’s no rush, just see who you gel with and have fun! 🌹
Peace. I got a similar experience except almost in reverse? I often say I was shamed into the closet. I had my first crush and kiss at 11, with an 'older woman' lol she was 13, and the first time I chose to be intimate with anyone it was with my then girlfriend at 14. This is in the 90s btw. That relationship ended horribly and changed me forever. She let her mom call me the devil and think that I'd coerced her into our "immoral acts" (mom was a super Bible thumper). She even called me a molester which was wild when her daughter was a year older than me. Wrist of all she did all this at my front door in aconversation with my mother while explaining why she never wanted me best get daughter or home again. After that, I made myself get a boyfriend. My mom never said anything to me directly about the situation but she told my dad who lived out of town and told him how embarrassing it was to her and that it was all because he let me run around dressed like a boy.
After that, I only dated boys but to this day, I can't say I've ever had that butterflies feeling for a guy is always been he's handsome I guess, he can do xyz and that's useful, or my mom and dad would like this and that about him if you get what I mean. I met my kids dad at 16, and we stayed together for over 13 years. It's was a quietly toxic relationship. We claimed one another but by the time we had kids, we were both living our own lives and just kind of existing in the same home (much of the time) I had multiple short relationships with women during that time and he had his suspicions but chose to ignore them.
Years after we spoke about it and really he didn't care because he was cheating too and I was only cheating with women. Best the end he started stressing me to change up my style, I'm naturally very tomboyish, and I did like a dummy lol. After we broke up I dated two women and I ended up cheating on both of them with him and other more feminine women.
Now, I'm in my 40s and still struggle with my sexuality. So many lesbians I've encountered are so anti-bi, especially when I'm more masculine presenting than I am feminine, that I struggle to really connect with another woman, I feel like I keep getting expected to play some role or character that I'm not. Like to be more masculine means to deny your femininity completely and I can't do that. I guess that is how I'm currently dating a man, so that I can just rest in my femininity again after all these years only dating women but, I'm mortified with the thought of my friends and family finding out. How wild is that? It's what even brought me on this app. We all gotta live our lives as best we can tho so I say find what makes you happy and avoid sharing that happiness in spaces that try to box you in... And remember whatever makes us happy today can change tomorrow and it's our prerogative
Thank you all so much for sharing!! Knowing that I’m not alone in this and knowing your story gives me something. Gives me to look at it from different angle and I just thank you!! I wish you all the best. I wish us all the best. I wish us to live as good as we can.
Wow, that all sounds so familiar. I'm a 46 year old man and I just found out (read: accepted) that I am bi. I had a crush on a boy when I was 13, and back then I really didn't want to be gay. After that I only had crushes on and relationships with girls/women and even got married. But 3 years ago I fell in love with a guy. Omg, what was happening? It was so confusing. It took me a few years to figure things out, but now, I think I got it. I’m bi, but my attraction works differently with men and women. With men, I need depth and emotional connection, whereas with women (or people with feminine energy), I can also feel physical attraction without that depth. Since I’ve come to understand this, I feel completely comfortable with it.
