Me being stupid 🤦
Okay, this post is going to make look sooo stupid but I just want to share this because it's been bugging my mind.
I was playing this game, BitLife, basically a life simulator game. I started a random life as a bisexual man and I have a girl partner. Then she came out to me as trans, she told me she's a 'he' now and changed his name. And I'm like okay, I still love you unconditionally.
Then so I decided to 'make love' with him and to my surprise, he got PREGNANT. TWICE (because I tried again think it might be a bug) And I'm like WHAT? How the did happen? But she's a he now and what?
Is this a game bug or what?
And that when a mind-blowing revelation of my stupidity came in 🤦
My understanding of LGBT is quite simple (or I thought they were simple) but very limited. And honestly, I thought I have everything understood now as easy as 1+1=2.
See in my mind:
Lesbian = girls are attracted to girls.
Gay = guys are attracted to guys.
Bisexual = people (girl or guy) attracted to both guys and girls.
... And Trans = people (girl or guy) two takes surgery and other supplements to change themselves to the opposite gender they are born with.
I need a new a definition.
Because I'm wrong I think? And I figured this out in a mobile game of all places 🤦
(Don't get me started on q+ part. LGBT is all I've ever know in my life, and others I more or less have understanding of them)

Soo just to add to my stupidity thread.
After a thorough research, I've come to know men CAN get pregnant. Well trans men, who didn't undergo surgery, but still.
Thing is I've always associated trans with surgery. Surgery = Trans.
If there's no surgery then it's not trans, they're gay or lesbian. (Which I'm learning now I'm very very wrong 🤦)

Damn, I really thought I got this all down to pat.
It reminds me of prom, when me and my friend met two people and they're sitting there in gowns and everything. Me and my friend is curious and approached them and we got to talk to them and told us they were trans.
I didn't say this of course but in my mind back then, but you're like 16? Can you even get surgeries at 16? How much did that cost? They must be rich. Maybe they're gay.
Well think back to them now, I'm asking did they undergo surgery? Probably not, because now I know being trans doesn't equals that.
Also learning that transitioning doesn't just mean surgery. Could mean name changes and the way they dresses and other things. Which yeah, adding that to my dictionary.
@DreamyPal "trans" means someone who does not identify with the gender they were assigned at birth. For example a trans man is someone who was assigned "female" at birth, but identifies as a man. You can be trans even if you haven't undergone hormal therapy or surgery because you can't do that right now, and maybe you don't want to (some people prefer not to undergo surgery because it's very expensive and invasive).
So, yes, trans man can get pregnant if their reproductive system hasn't undergone any changes that made it lose its fertility.

Right. It's just a revelation to me because I never thought of a trans person not wanting a surgery is possible.
I've always thought if a trans person doesn't want a surgery, they're probably gay/lesbian.
I learn wanting to be identified as opposite what you're born with and being attracted to the same gender are two different things.

there are also pansexual people who are not bisexuals. pansexual people like any gender and bisexual people are attracted to two or more genders but if they like all of them then they are pansexual. under the transgender umbrella there are also a lot of gender terms. if you're curious about any i could list you some but theres a lot... its better to do your own research lol. i love seeing people educating themselves though, you're a good person :)
