What queer traditions do you have?

I'm trying to think of what I want to do tradition or ritual wise and am looking for ideas on how to incorporate my queer identity. I want to celebrate me!

This year I was on my own, and it gave me some time to think about what traditions I've enjoyed from my childhood. It also gave me time to think of new traditions I want to have with my kids. Here's a list of them:
- Christmas Movie Marathon Day -- On Christmas Eve Eve, I want to have a movie marathon with my kids! I have gotten into movies again, and I want to share queer Christmas movies with them!
- Jolabokaflod -- My ex and I used to celebrate this: it's where you exchange books on Christmas Eve, and then go find a cozy corner and read the night away! Reading is tough for me so I might need to make some adjustments, but it's still a lot of fun.
- Chasing Santa -- I'm running out of years where I can do this, but my parents used to take me out on Christmas Eve to see if we could see Santa in the sky (it was a sneaky way to get presents under the tree).
I am now realizing these aren't very queer-oriented but maybe you can make some adjustments! I should also note that I am (newly) Pagan, but my kids get Christmas so we'll start with that.
For personal traditions, next year I want to find a drag show happening around Christmas like Happiest Seasons. Also, with the new year (and often new moon), I tend to do a lot of meditation and manifestation. Queer culture doesn't really get as much representation around this time of year in mainstream culture. I think my biggest focus is just honoring myself and appreciating what I've been through.
Hope this helps, babe! 💖
