not fitting in correctly

Lately I’ve been thinking that I’m not gay enough or not correctly fitting in. I know that there is no such thing as looking gay or dressing to fix in as a bisexual (since bisexuals can look anyway) I just feel like some people may think I’m faking since I may not dress as everyone I know who is part of the LGBTQ+ community and I guess I’m just overthinking and more as comfortable with who I am (but I am certain that I’m 100% bisexual) I don’t know, I just feel like I need to do more to please people and such.

yeah i relate to this!! it’s like i spent my time in middle school pretending to relate to my friends about liking boys and trying to fit in, and now i’m a part of this community where i can be myself but i feel like i’m faking it lol from what i’ve seen, it’s pretty common to feel like you’re “not gay enough” - i know i always take those stereotype jokes too far (i genuinely had an identity crisis because i don’t walk fast and everyone says that gay ppl walk fast lmaoo) - but as you say, there is no “look” to being lgbtq+ and no decent person is going to think you’re faking it just because of your style. idk if this is helpful sorry lol, just wanted to let you know that you’re not alone in this

Hey hey syria! Nice to meet you too! It’s nice to have you here <3 dealing with old trauma surfacing is no fun, tho i believe in you to get thru hard moments of it, whenever thru that journey that you want a friend around, i’ll be right here, only a reply away, to vent, to share anything heavy on you or for a virtual cup of coffee and a hug *~*
