Hi, everyone. New member here. I came out as a genderfluid last 3 months
@theVioletAlchemist7479 that's awesome! And a really brave step towards just being yourself. How was the reaction? Did you get some support? (hopefully you did!)
@Lea87 yeah, I've got support from my partner and some friends, after a few months of disphoria I finnaly feel comfortable with myself
@Louise119 I'm gonna post my most recent coming out storie on here aswell (happened less then 5 minutes ago lol) I sent a video from a popular social media website to my friend, the video had the sound "I'm a girly girl with a girly secret" Idk if any of yall know that sound. But that's how I first came out as transgender to one of my friends. Much love to everyone 💜
Always knew but Always denied. Got tired of the lies and *** false relationships. Told an ex lover, turned out she already knew I was and seems now most of them did 😆 Free from my chains and happy to say I'm a gay man.
Well, I didn't have my full coming out yet, but last year I was finally brave enough to tell my wife about it. I revealed to her that I often feel more like a woman than a man...she really tried to understand and accept it, but as a couple we struggled really hard to align it with our relationship.
To be honest, we faced a tough year with a lot of therapy sessions (together and alone) and ongoing discussions and talks. But it was worth it. We are still happily married (woohoo) and I have now my own space in our house where I can keep all my feminine stuff. My wife even checked out my clothes and makeup and so on - and was upset that I can better walk in high-heels than she can 🤣
In addition I learned through therapy together with my wife that I'm genderfluid and how to accept it. I wouldn't say that I'm fully done in dealing with it and I still have a lot to learn, but my wife is a great support and I'm so glad that I came out to her.
I applaud your bravery, I’m struggling with that decision now. I have finally and truly admitted to myself that I am trans and my feelings are not temporary and it’s not a phase. Over the years when these feelings would creep up I’d buy and eventually purge my women’s clothing. I’d get the feelings coming back and after some self stimulation the feelings would go away but that is not the case anymore, I feel like a woman inside all of the time, and while I am attracted to women still when I watch them I am envious of them, how the dress, how they interact and I know that is the real me. My wife is kind, compassionate, and caring but she is suffering through her own mental heath battles now and I’m not sure she could handle me telling her how I feel. I have come to terms with probably never being able to completely transition but if she were to know then I wouldn’t have to hide as much and could live between the lines, I’ve reached out to the limited number of gender therapist in my area but appointments are two months out so for now I continue to fight my battle silently. I wish I were as brave as you, maybe one day. Thank you for your story I gives me hope.
@Louise119 I did not acknowledge my transness until my divorce. I told my ex that I thought I wanted ***, and the journey started from there! I came out to my kids first, then my best friend (and his girlfriend who I had just met that night lol), then the world! It's been scary but liberating!
I came out as bi about 7 years ago? However, as time has passed, I've realized that I still like girls. Like, I reallly like girls -- they're so pretty!! So, while I probably have a few exceptions to this rule, I now identify as sapphic (lesbian++).
Honestly I’ve really just been incorporating the bi flag into my life and hoping that people notice. I’ll tell people if they ask, but it’s not really all that important to tell people out loud randomly. (So far) I haven’t come across much hate, except from my brothers who are just… dumb and naive. I’m hoping they’ll grow better with time. Anyway, not exciting, but it’s what I’ve got :)
