Messed up this mania

I did inappropriate messaging with my best friend's husband during my mania. He isn't stopping annoying me even after I told him it was a mistake and I have bipolar. I feel so guilty about it and want to tell my bestfriend,but I also feel bad for her,but I'm worried she wouldn't believe me and I'd lose this friendship.

@Stuckatcrossroads

If you consider her your best friend, then I would believe that she would also have some faith to your story. If it were me in that position, I would try to have an honest communication amongst the parties involved so that there can be no underlying negativity. As always, you're welcome to message me for any interpersonal communication should you wish.

It's not your fault! I don't think a person can control what they do when they are manic. Sounds like he's a jerk! Maybe make a pros and cons list about telling her. If I was her, I would want to know what my husband was up to behind my back, rather than being blind-sided later (like if you get arrested for smashing his junk in his car door (lol) and she wants to know why. I think a reasonable person will understand that a person in mania can't control their behavior. A lot depends on how bad his behavior is, and what your relationship is like with her. Hard to know from where I am standing. I would go on how close I am to her, and how much his behavior is bothering me, if I was in your position. I would even venture into a discussion about hypothetical situations and generally ask her about what she might want to know about.
