Need someone else's advice

Ok, so I'm 100% bisexual. But the thing is, I kinda feel weird for accepting it.
My mom was the first (family member) I told about, and she's okay with it. But when my dad knew he said that bisexuality is just a way to not fully say you're homosexual.

Which is, not true at all.
I feel physically attracted to both men and women, with a preference to the latter. And emotionally, I open to start something with anyone I might have a strong connection to, no matter their gender or anything like that. It just matters to me that we are both consensual adults who care deeply for the other to be in a romantic relationship.
And the only person I've truly loved and had a romance with was a woman. And honestly... I still feel something for her, but I digress.

The thing is, can someone give me their advices and/or opinions in the matter?
It may help me getting some peace of mind for this,
which for me is definitely most needed.

@AxlMega you're definitely not alone in this! Misconceptions about bisexuality are so omnipresent in our society that no matter how open-minded we are, we often end up being affected by it somehow. Lots of bi people go through something like this, it's wasn't easy for me either to process all of this.

The good thing is you seem to be very self-aware and to have a deep understanding of bisexuality and of your own feelings and desires. Which is great! The next step is to embrace this awareness not only on the rational level, but also on the emotional level. Personally, it helped me to stop and ask myself questions whenever I had weird feelings or thoughts about my orientation: why am I feeling this? Where does this emotion come from? Is it reasonable? Does it make any logic sense?
And with time, you end up getting so familiar with this mindset that you start accepting it on the emotional level too. But of course, everyone's jounrye is different. I wish you the best on yours!
