Male self image advice
I am a man in his early 40s. My hairs receding a bit & the skin around my eyes is ageing quite badly. I've been single for sometime and think this is one of the reasons.
I had a conversation about it with my therapist and felt we'd reached an impasse.
I'm procrastinating over whether to get a facial peel 'when I've nowhere to hide whilst it recovers'.
I also agonise about whether to keep or buzz my hair. For health reasons I can't do the med's folks use to help keep it.
Some will say it doesn't matter, others will say do x,y,z. I feel like everyone comes at it from their own perspective.

Hello. I think it's no wonder that people give you various advice because we are all different, have different values, different goals and varying experiences.
The first thing that came to my mind after reading your message was: Would you be really interested in being with someone who loves you only for your hair and beautiful skin?
I think this world right now might be a little bit dominated by the cult of money and beauty. So, what makes you think the problem lays in you?
Just a short inventory from your previous messages:
- you went to the therapy, to help you overcome bad things from the past (many people never have courage to do it for all their lives),
- you are training karate (doing it just for your own satisfaction, what seems to be the best motivation possible!),
- you are playing snooker and going to gym classes,
- you attended a comedy workshop (I'm really jealous of that! 😊),
- you tried some volunteering and other activities (even if that was disappointing in the end).
In other words, you seem to be a person of values, doing many things not to become more popular, but for self-awareness and personal growth.
Once, when I was lonely, I've heard that you cannot find someone by searching, but they come to you as the result of living a good life. I think I still believe in that...
@resourcefulFriend2347 Age well by caring about your bodies needs.
Be bald and beautiful, bro.
