My partner caught me watching porn.

So this is very new to me and my very first open talk about this. I have been struggling with porn addiction for quite some time now. I was introduced to it at 6-7 years old by finding my mom’s old collection. Travel to the present I am 22 years old and have a problem with it. It got so bad I made a fake email so I can scroll on Reddit and watch it there without affecting my main email. My partner discovered this and showed me how severe my problem really is. I understand making that fake email was probably the dumbest thing I could’ve ever done. I want to change. Not just for her but for me as well. This IS something that I’ve wanted to quit on my own even before she found out. I also do not have insurance for a therapist otherwise I’d be talking to one. Does anyone have any good ideas to distract/ kill the urge to watch it? I’ve already deleted the fake email and do not intend on restoring it as that would just be “relapsing” and very critically damaging to my relationship. I want my partner to know that I do love her and her body it’s just I have a problem that I need to quit. Any and all advice would be appreciated thank you.

@honestNorth4313

It's great that you realized that you have an addiction and have taken some action in deleting the email address you were using. Dis you also delete the reddit account?

My suggestion to occupy yourself is to maybe take up exercising, Reading or some hobby that will keep you busy.

When you have the opportunity spend more time with your partner, go for walks, binge watch a TV series or watch movies. Show your partner that you truly want to move away from your addiction.

@honestNorth4313.  Dm me ,I can surely cure your addiction

I don't know if you are religious, but reading the bible helps me. If you do believe in God and Jesus you can pray to them to help you. Once you read the gospels, the love you'll gain for Jesus will be enough to not have those urges like before. Hope this helps.
