Daily Check-In for March 7th to March 29th 2026

Stillness is the gift given to the body and mind; through exercises like meditation and yoga, you learn stillness through breathing techniques. It connects to our physical and emotional parts of your body. Transcendental meditation teaches us how to calm your anxiety and stress. It can be done twice a day (15-20 minutes) to relax your mind and bring your body into a calmer state.

This technique teaches you how to calm your racing thoughts and, through exercise breathing, calm your body into a normal state. Trying to stay focused on what is happening around you can make you miss certain signs of something not working out for you. Stillness reduces stress and anxiety and provides clarity and new solutions to your worried state of mind.

Stillness can bring the "oh no" feeling into a to-do list of things to calm yourself down. Stillness is a gift that allows you to refocus on something not going right in your life. It makes you think of how to slow down and fix something making you rush something. Stillness allows you to be still and hear, see, and feel the things around you.

Strength is when you pause, breathe in calmly, and give yourself a chance to reboot yourself. Stillness is not a weakness. It is more of being aware of what is going on around you. Strength is built through stillness. It is when we stop and listen to what our body and mind are telling us.

Strength builds effort in you to look at what is going on around you. Stillness rebuilds resilience. It allows our bodies to go into a repair and rest mode. This is when you begin to think of what needs to be repaired and, in a calm manner, fix what needs fixing.

How can listening to what your body and mind are telling you be helpful?

Listening to my mind and body can help me recognize the problem that I am facing. This can help me come up with strategies to overcome the problem.

I'm laying here 90 minutes after my last night shift of the week trying to sleep, just about to give up !!! I've tried breathing meditation, body scan and PMR but my kind is still buzzing and I just can't lay still. I was diagnosed as hyperactive as a 2 year old baby and have never grown out of it but I must admit I do enjoy a sense of stillness on the rare occasion I'm actually still enough to enjoy it 😁😁

@pamharley003 this is so important as a concept... never thought of it this way, i'm realizing that i struggle to be in silence... i always need a sound or media to not listen, to not feel like i'm doing nothing which is stillness. I need to practice stillness when i get the urge to watch media to get that energy boost from loud music, i should try to get strength from stillness... i get that also music can help to energize but it also distracts me too much.
