Daily Check-In April 3rd to April 5th 2026

Happy Easter to those who celebrate it on Sunday -

We all want our minds to be stress-free, with no thoughts spiraling around at full blast. In order to control our mindfulness, we must be in the present, the now, the today, not yesterday or tomorrow, and in the future, but what is happening right now.

We do not want to judge ourselves or others for that matter but be fully aware of our thoughts in a clear picture. You can dedicate 10-15 minutes each day to bring you back to the now feelings. This is known as "mindful meditation."

You can sit at your desk at work or in a place in your home and just reflect on the things needing to be worked on. When we do this, we release tension and stress and bring ourselves back to breathing calmly.

Benefits of Mindfulness:

lowers your stress level: when breathing in slowly, it releases tension and allows you to breathe easier.

Anxiety: By practicing mindfulness, you can ease the feelings of being anxious and help yourself stay focused.

Pain: Can help with the signals your brain is having.

Depression: Mindfulness can help you in a depressed state of mind and raise awareness of negativity you are having.

Sleep habits: Mindfulness can help with easing yourself to sleep so you can sleep through the night.

High Blood Pressure: Mindfulness can help lower blood pressure by easing the tension you have.

Asthma: This can help in how you are breathing normally. It can keep you in a calmer state.

Examples of Exercises for Mindfulness:

Paying attention: Be alert of your surroundings at all times. Stop and breathe so you're not rushing things.

Focus on Breathing: When your breathing is labored, normally you are able to think in a clearer picture. This helps with overwhelming thoughts and negative thinking.

Living in the moment: staying in the present form rather than thinking of yesterday, tomorrow, and the future.

Checking in with your body: turning off all electronic devices and just sitting there listening to what is happening around you. Noticing what your surroundings are doing at the time.

How does practicing Mindfulness help you relax?

@pamharley003

Practice mindfulness helps me feel at peace with my mind and body. It makes my problems feel smaller than I make of them.

so true, I'm learning that as well... like even if graduation is important to me and to my future, I understand that even if I don't graduate that isn't the end of me, there is more to me, to my present moment than my rent, my studies, my so desired life-steps or achievements.

@pamharley003

I'm still working on mindfulness because I'm not the quiet, sit still type 😁💙

But slowly, and consistently!

Happy Easter to you too 🩷🤗

@pamharley003 I should practice to redirect my thoughts, so far I manage to practice mindfulness but when it is set to a physical activity like mindful walking, mindful eating... just on my desk sitting with my own thoughts, it is very hard... I have a wrist band with beads that I'm trying out, a listener said to actually express a phrase "I'm not focused"... I find it difficult for myself to use them, maybe if I use my watch setting to 3 minutes breathing mode...or just go to a different room, to disconnect from the spiral and come back.
