Darkness is the absence of light

Hey everyone, I’ve been reflecting on something simple yet profound I recently heard: darkness is not a thing on its own, but simply the absence of light. Similarly, evil isn’t some standalone force-it’s the absence of good.

This idea made me think about how light and good don’t just fight darkness and evil-they define them by their presence or absence. It’s like the world isn’t divided into two opposing forces, but rather shaped by what we choose to bring into it.

If darkness and evil are just gaps, then maybe our focus shouldn’t only be on fighting them, but on nurturing light and goodness in ourselves and others.
