The era of dopamine seeking instant gratification junkies

So I was going to a *** for doing art, and hoping to find people more professional who I could learn from, thought and company while doing it, while it was my initial idea of what i wanted. I could literally compared a lot of the online communities to kindergartens. People constantly posting jokes memes for the hole seek of some more dopamine with the constant distraction, to seek some instant gratification, the constant jumping from idea to idea randomly, the complete emotional and psychological level, the constant seek of attention by saying random things, the constant thinking they are failures cause cause things dont turn as they expected, and so many others childish behaviors. Overall it becomes a constant distraction of people feels like not very serious about what they do, and for once people online appear to act as full autistic level, me i am mild autistic, but I never seen even on full autism people act in such manners, perhaps when young people gather they tend to encourage themselves to do unquestionable things and amplify their childish behavior , but to me feels like since people detach more from each other in a virtual world people tend to act more foolishly, in a way which they just become bothersome to be around them. I believe perhaps this is the base of what people separate in age gaps, older generation seen younger acting more foolishly and with no direction. what are your thoughts?

@okeyyyy this is what I'm hearing:

I joined an online art space expecting to meet serious creatives, but it feels more like a playground than a studio. People chase dopamine with memes and jokes, seek constant attention, bounce between half-formed ideas, and spiral into self-pity when things don’t work out. The environment feels immature, not conducive to growth or discipline. Online detachment seems to amplify childish behavior, and to me it’s exhausting. Maybe this is why generational gaps exist: older people look at younger people’s chaotic energy and see it as foolishness and lack of direction

@okeyyyy

Please listen, the first step is always understanding. Active listening requires this establishment. A mutual understanding. (My writing style will reflect more on me than you.)

From there, we're free to explore. Each having a voice worth being heard.

@ShockTop00 thanks, so for me goes as follow, i find adults watching cartoons for a level of maturity of teenagers, i say this cartoon is as adult as a telletubies/plaza sesamo . They feel offended, one who entered leaves, most of the keep repeating this kinda joke, a is for kids, b is for kids, c is for kids, etc, is hard to not get drag down to the mud when behavior is too chaotic, so what i did was mainly remain silent and dropped a bye in chat. In my experience when people show such levels of stupidity is just becomes a waste of time, i went there looking for company and i found apes in form of humans, its easier in face to face cause we dont asosiate with people we cant stand to be around when possible, work and family different matter, it feels like some people use this excuse to behave like toddlers.

@okeyyyy hey. I've been feeling like a poop sandwich these last few weeks. Extra poo. I think I'm getting better now.

Just focus on yourself. Do what you need to do to feel better. I dunno what's best for you. But you do.

@okeyyyy

I see that you're frustrated with your newfound online art community, and I'm sorry to hear that it doesn't fit well with your expectations. But hey, maybe try to tap at your local art community instead. If I want a serious environment for my art to grow and seek mentoring, that's where I'll start. I hope you find your tribe real soon. Good luck! 🤞

@Nyctosaurus13 thanks, i find it kinda difficult, i got angry at people in the server for repeating a joke over and over again, basically i said something is for kids, and they kept joking about it for like a long time, so i started blandly insulting people in their faces very angrily, such a waste of time, people who act as complete ***/ stupid, also left the server, maybe if i find a more serious place face to face. Also not very sure about what direction my life should be aiming towards, still trying , thanks .
