mindfulness & letting go

life has a way of weighing us down. in some ways, the heaviness of stress & pain are unavoidable. so how do we let go of the weight we shoulder?
one way, I might offer, is mindfulness of the present moment. when we live in the future, we face anxiety. when we live in the past, we drown in depression. what happens when we live in the present moment?
I’m not suggesting that living in the present moment is going to magically solve all your problems or make it so that you never feel pain again. No, mindfulness isn’t some snake oil, claiming to cure all overnight. However, there is a sense of relief to just, be. To be lets you set down the mountain, even if just for a moment. To be is to take the small first step at the base of the mountain.
If you feel comfortable to share, what are some things that are currently weighing you down? And what might be one way to climb your mountain, rather than carry it?
@Kait
Thank you for this great post!
Something that usually always helps me to let down any kind of burden is positive self-affirmations, reminding myself of what I've already accomplished and accepting that people (in physical life) might have different expectations towards me than I can and want to fulfil.
I am burdened by my family's lack of understanding. I tried to tell them about my condition, but they don't care that I did something for them.@Kait

Park, I can totally relate to the burden of being misunderstood by your family. Sometimes, if someone doesn't want to understand, we can tell them 100 different ways and they still won't get it. It's so frustrating!
@Kait it feels like my life is stagnant,I’m not moving forward,a lot of challenges. Nothing is working out for me. Career,relationship,financial,sucesss
