Give yourself some applause

Can you share one thing that you have been working on and now can stand up and shout out "I'VE DONE IT!"

If you could plant a garden what would be in there? Like would you plant kindness, forgivness, love etc?

If you could be any flower- desribe what it would be, what color, its smaell, what would its name be?

I know dealing with trauma and other mental health issues is so very hard. Allowing yourself to heal is even harder. But it takes a strong person to let themselves grow into a beautiful person each and everyone is. Just like a flower seed. It has to push and push past that hard shell, then figure which way is up or down. Push through all that soil, then one day there you see a tiny baby plant popping through the soil. Turns into such a beautiful flower after all its hard work. You are that beautiful new flower

@RumpleSteeleSkin
Wow! Thank you! What a beautiful idea!
I've been working on becoming more independent and being able to face my fear of rejection and abandonment and say no to people who are really important to me. I recently tried saying "No." to someone I really respected, looked up to, cared about and depended on. Whatever my reasons, she would not accept my no. I finally compromised and tried to find a win/win that was safe as possible for me. It wasn't safe. I ended up betraying myself and my friend was still unhappy and furious at me. I finally told her "no" and followed through with action. All hell broke loose, but I'm still intact and the experience made me stronger. I'm so grateful I took the risk and stood up for myself! I finally learned it's impossible to set a boundary and simultaneoulsy also take care of another person's feelings. It was super hard to do, but I did it!
I would plant a garden with wild flowers native to the environment, and each flower planted when smelled and gazed at would release a certain energy. The white blossoms would release peace, the sunflowers would release joy and strength, the pink cherry blossoms would release the emotion of love and tenderness, the daffodils would release acceptance and leting go. Daisies would help with forgiveness. Dragon snappers of all colors for compassion.
I would choose to be a dandelion. When eaten, these plants detox the liver and help heal. They are also good for fighting cancer. People look at them like weeds, but they flower twice. When it is sunny the yellow flowers are a bright beautiful breathtaking sunny yellow that covers a hill. At night, the flower closes up and "sleeps" and then when the bloom is done--it creates a giant powder puff, and waits to be blown free into the wind. It's called a weed, but it's one of the most resilient natural flowers. It grows through concrete, and standup to chemicals... And despite all that humans have thrown at it... it continues to survive and thrive... So I would call it Dandelion- spiritual warrior...resilient, hope-filled and free!
@Flowingstreams nice to see you here in the discussion! Im proud of you for working on being more independant, face your fears of rejection and learning to say no to others. You are strong to work through all these to better you
I say shame on her for not respecting your "no" But you done a great job on finding a middle. Wow look at you. Ended up going back to your "no" and feeling good about it. Id like to share with you on something. I promise you the more you practice these boundaries you set for yourself will make a positive impact on others.
Wow I'd love to walk through your garden and recieve all those wonderful feelings. It does sound like a beautiful garden of healing and joy and.......
aahh do you see how you desrcibed what a dandelion has for us? We do call it a weed that populates fast. I love what you shared and Id like for you to turn this around and put your name in there....

@RumpleSteeleSkin
Thank you so much RumpleSteeleSkin for your very kind, encouraging and thoughtful reply. Just what I needed today! Whew! One of those challenging but okay days! I am at that part of saying no, where certain people who are used to my people pleasing are leaving...and i am finding peace in being with me and higher power, God. Sometimes I miss them and feel sad, but it feels so good to have integrity with my boundaries. As i work on my boundaries i will be able to deal with more people in a healthier way. Your messge brought me hope that when those who leave are done, Ill still have some people who will love me for who i am—most importantly that being God and me and the people who love me for being just me.
It took me a while to figure out what you meant by including me and then i had a very good laugh and tears started streaming down my face. Dandelions are never allpwed in gardens. We pull them, we spray them, sometimes gardeners hate them I guess because they overtake the other flowers. In my garden, i plant the dandelion, my spiritual warrior. I allow her to creep in all the cracks, walkways, spaces in between, but in this garden there is enough abundance for everyone. These dandelions understand the concept of sharing and coexisting.....and lol....there is even an area just for dandelions. This part is for everyone but eapecially children. They can walk in and on the dandelions. Lay in dandelions, pluck the dandelions and blow the white fluffy seeds into the air. They can laugh and play and make garlands of the dandelions and wear them in their hair. Because the dandelions are strong and love and accept everyone, they still thrive and have their fun! When people depart from the dandelion section, they feel loved, warm and carefree and tfeel this lingering aching wilderness inside that reminds us we are alive. It calls, beckons and never fades, like the smell of sunlight and grass in your hair. Thanks for reminding me to include me in the garden. Lol.....And for reminding myself that i am worthy to be in the garden too! I am honored to be among so many beautiful people and flowers! Thanks all for posting and being flowers with me! Beautiful pictures too!
@RumpleSteeleSkin Well, I managed my high anxiety today without getting mad and losing my temper Hehehe. If I would plant a garden. I would plant forgiveness. Cause it's hard to forgive people and to forgive oneself also. For the flower, it's a rose. Very elegant but has thorns which is it's strength. Feminine but still a fighter. It won't give up easily. :)
@Jewelmoon17 wonderful to see you here now! Congrats to you!! Look at you managing your anxiety without getting mad or loosing your temper. Be proud of yourself. A beautiful garden that grants us to forgive I feel is so beautiful. I agree with you on how a rose is. Give yourself a hug today
@RumpleSteeleSkin Thank you! :D
@RumpleSteeleSkin thank you for this exercise! a lovely idea.
one thing that i have been working on is stopping procrastination. Just doing things instead of worrying about them. And so far, i have been doing pretty well at this!!!
if i could plant a garden today i would plant forgiveness for myself. i recently got back some grades that were worse than i thought they would be and i guess i am often pretty hard on myself. so i would plant forgiveness because even though i got a bad grade, i still did my best.
if i could be any flower, it would be skyblue with maybe some orange aspects. it would have a special but kind of fascinating smell.
@AveryLove Its good to see you and I love that you liked this thread
Now that is being mindful. To just do things and not to worry. Im very proud of you
To have a garden so beautiful and filled with personal forgiveness I'd love to attend. I'm sorry to hear that your grades were not well. I do hope that you can find a way to improve them. Also forgive yourself knowing you done your best
hugs.
Forbet Me Not flowers-best I could find for your desription

checking in
@scarletPear1945 great to see you here with us. I do not understand what you shared "check in" Please respond to the meeting notes and questions above, as this is a team meeting for us all to connect.
@RumpleSteeleSkin
Sorry, my response was not understood. What I was saying is that I acknowledge the tag and was checking in as to respond to the tag. At that time that was all, I was able to reply to. I was not in a place to be able to respond mentally so I did not.
I appreciate the post and all you do to to help us and I understand the teamwork that you desire from us but I just was not in the right frame to comply. I apologize to you and the community for my lack Right now where I am I probably just need to pull back until I get through this spot. Mentally fatigued.
Thanks
Well actually I think this is because I spoke about what happened to me on 7 cups finally.
NO FLASHBACKS TODAY!!!!
First time in months.
It's not done yet, but I have changed my old ways of working and developing better habits. I'm alreading feeling more focused and productive.
@persistentartprenuer
Well done. It takes real guts to make those changes.
@kindStrings3073
Thank you for your kind words.
Kindness. I would plant a flower of kindness. A few months ago my friends and support started to remind me to not be so hard on myself. Being a perfectionist I had a tendency to have these extremely impossible expectations on EVERYTHING I did. Today I can say with a small smile I am me and I am good enough. I'm finally learning to be kind to myself.
@RumpleSteeleSkin
i love this thread and the wonderful ideas in this thread and the contribution of everyones ideas and the visuality of it. Today i wanted to add a flower in my garden, i wanted to add a flower that would be called holdsmeforever. It would be a very simple tiny white flower with more green than flower, a flower that might easily be overlooked in a hike,
...but if one paused and stooped down to truly observe it, it would be a flower of absolute conforting. When i lay in this bed of flower buds, i would feel absolutely safe, peaceful.. all my anxiety and fears would melt away...It would have a fragrance like honeysuckle wafting in a warm summer breeze. The smell would permiate the air like a warm fog hug, enveloping every nook and cranny. And i would feel as if held by the earth... and i would rest...no more internal battles, and all the grieving and aching would melt away and i would fall into a deep slumber... and when i woke the flower, holdsmeforever, would bloom, and the fragrance would transform to beyond imaginable, a smell like dew, sunshine and beauty— each breeze filled with its lovely fragrance would be filled with the emotion of hope, like a beautiful sunrise...and i would know i am not alone...a fragrance of god in me, god with me.... and i would know... Each day a new beginning... a new chance to heal... to be whole... and to be one in love with the universe....

@Flowingstreams
This is so beautiful, both your words and the picture, thank you for sharing
Thanks so much for your kind words. Really appreciate your kindness. Glad you enjoyed the images ☺️
* some holdsmeforever for us all to share...
