Daily Check-In Nov. 23, 2018
Hi lovely Community
. Hope you had a good week.
Our weeks are not always easy but we can still look for the positive sides, remember the good things, what we learned and be grateful for it.
Ralph Waldo Emerson once said that in order to achieve contentment, one should cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously.
So today I like to ask you what is one or more reasons you are grateful for for having
Animals in our world?
Plants in our world?
- I am grateful to the millepedes working so hard to create rich soils in our forests and gardens
- I am grateful to my dwarf frangipani, growing so well in the garden, having beautiful white flowers giving me a smile every time I pass them
What about you?

I'm grateful to hands-off landlords, the warm ocean, warm breezes, warm sunshine, and men who are kind. And friends who listen. And strangers who tweet and listen here on this site to offer an ear and compassion and support. I'm grateful for living in a country where I can date, change jobs whenever I want, have freedom, and a passport to come and go as I please. I'm grateful I can walk outside wearing whatever I want, and that I can drive and talk to whomever I want. And hold hands in public. I'm grateful for the systems that exist to bring us healthy fresh fruits and veggies year round from nearby and far away. And to people like nutrition.org who run free websites that help us make healthy food choices every day without charging to learn about our current world and how our bodies work and behave.
@onwardforevenmore
Wow Onward😲
Honestly I was so into what you shared. I say your a very thankful oerdon!
@amiablePeace77
HI Peace thanks for this check-in
Wow I really do love these mindfulness reminders of being thankful/grateful. Well as many of you know I have a zoo
Well a mini zoo that is. I love animals so much. Don't know a life without them. I am grateful for all of them cause they bring me contentment, joy, love, smiles and of course once in a while a pile of "joy" on the floor. But no matter what, they bring my many things and always just give that love out no matter what.
Plants OMG I love so love my plants as well. I believe now I have about 40 plants in the house
Yes very true you all-lol. I like the colors of my plants. All are so different. Some tall,short, grow long or just up and up. I am mindful for sure when I am replanting some. I love the smell of the cold, dirt and how it feels on my hands. But yes plants to bring me joy and I am thankful for them

@RumpleSteeleSkin
Rumple, reading your post makes we wonder whether I could come and move in😊, it must be a wonderful atmosphere with all the plants, some of them might be cleaning the air, others give joy and the animals being your companions. I too have lots of plants which I am very grateful for.
@amiablePeace77
Ha Peace I get the top bunk ya know
for being alive
@onerandomguy
and living in this era
@onerandomguy
Hi Guy glad to see you today😊
Yes just to be breathing is a lot to be thankful for.
@RumpleSteeleSkin
yeah, and for living in this era.
Our grand-grandparents were people Just Like Us, but they didn't had this technology. They had to wait months for a letter to travel (for example) from china to usa and months for the letter to get back to the sender in china. But we can do now live chat, "the letter" can travel in an instant. isn't that a blessing ?
My grandparents told me stories about their parents , how they walked on foot to a city or village. Now we can travel from a country to another one in just few hours.
And there are so many more examples on how blessed we are.
@onerandomguy
HI One
oh wow one the mail system back then. But I do know from my great-great grandpa that when he got letters from his family they were so precious to him. Now a days we do a letter in 10 minutes or so, lick a stamp on and wait 2-3 days for it to arrive. I also liked hearing those stories from my grand parents on how things were way back then. It is a blessing on most things of how we Americans do things now a days. I try real hard not to be wasteful on things. If I do not need house hold things I try and pass them on to someone else and so on.
You are right on all those little blessings we have today
@amiablePeace77
I would thank bees, for the animal world, for they are the tireless, unsung workers that help t food on our tables. From the plant world, I am grateful to all the food crops that feed us unstintingly.

So today I like to ask you what is one or more reasons you are grateful for for having
Animals in our world? I like to see the fluffy tailed squirrels in my backyard. Just this morning on came down a damaged tree, grabbed a mouthful of leaves and went back up the tree. Guess they are insulating for winter.
Plants in our world? I love all plants but veggies are really some of my favorite foods. I guess organically grown wheat is very important in making my bread.
@soulsings
Squirrels are so cute
and play also a quite important role in the eco system.
Home-made bread, mmh, love it particularly if it's made from organic wheat.
