How are you all doing today? I do hope today or tomorrow you can do something for yourself and
it! Today I'd like us to focus on "emotions" I've had some great chats in the members rooms and I hear many share on their emotions and what to do with them. Or even many trying to identify their emotions. So for today we are going to have a discussion on Emotion Jars And Identifying Feelings.
Here are some very pretty jars. Please pick however many you need to store your emotion in it

Emotions can be very hard to identify, understand, control and even feel. A lot of times we miss label them and feel what is normal to us. But today I want each one of you to feel empowered and label-organize and feel all those feelings you have.
Here is how we will do this:
1) Pick out as many jars as you like. You can also find jars and share the pictures.
2) Once you have your jars pick which one fits a feeling you have
3) Desribe this feeling. Describe your jar
**BONUS CHALLENGE**
A) Here is an empty jar. Share in detail how you create this jar to match a feeling you like to put in there. Try and remember to use most of your senses when desribing this jar you are making.
Remember feelings are very normal and valid to have. Don't feel ashamed for any emotion you might feel and why.

My jar is made of glass. I have painted it in black and red. There is a black and red silk ribbon too.
Inside there is despair. Tears come out of it, even if the jar cap fits perfectly.
@admaiorasemper
Hello there nice to see you here
Thank you for explaining your jar to us. This jar sounds sad, but the red silk ribbon makes it look very nice. aaww hun why do the tears come out of it even if the lip is on tight? Can I ask you something now- even though you made this jar for dispair, can you find another jar that is the opposite of what you like to feel? Can you explain the jar you found?

My jar would be black with 13 little paw prints around it. Through the paw prints you can see a storm raging inside. Today marks a year since the start of a very traumatic month at the place I work at, it has stirred up some strong emotions.
@Tinyredlight Hey there wonderful you stopped by
I like your jar Tiny. I like that you can look into it even though it is a raging storm. hugs to you if you like
I'm sorry to hear of the trauma you had a year ago. Please if you like take more jars or find some and share them here. Share what they look like and what feeling goes in each. Here Tiny you can be safe with your feelings. No one to judge or anything- but listen and support and also join along with some of those feeling jars you picked. hugs

I wish I could chose all your options and explain them but you said chose one that you feel today yet I feel many of them and want to describe them.
I wish I wanted to describe them all...
In my culture, there is a saying "you have a voice from a jar" when you have a thick, coarse voice.
Another one is, when noone wants to hear your complaints or thoughts, they tell you "talk into a jar".
It doesn't matter what jar it is, I "talk into a jar" everyday...metaphorically.
But with the one you listed I can relate and identify with each one of them...thank you
My jar for today is a bottomless one like the ones with accidents in pasteurisation, they lose thier bottoms, so whatever you put in them you lose on the other end...
@pioneeringChestnut8375
Hey there Chestnut great to see ya! I think I worded it wrong then-as you can have as many as you like and EVEN FIND YOUR OWN
I kinda like what you shared on a jar you picked. Well I kinda don't know what I'd like to share on this. As in one way it's sad when someone needs to share something and no one wants to listen. Then again I think from what you shared, if you talk into a jar that jar holds your secrets. But in time they disappear so you can fill it with more. Thank you for sharing on your jar. As I shared you can have as many as you like and share on them
@RumpleSteeleSkin
I like tge choices that you gave to us and I have a feeling for each one of them, plus the red and black one from before. Black feelings and red blood amount to overwhelming tears...
Once again congrats for the choice you presented us because I can relate to every one of them except I want to avoid clustering the thread so I will keep them for an eventual emotional personal journal...
@pioneeringChestnut8375
I'm glad you liked the choices, I am hoping I see more creative ones from the community to! You are mindful of desribing how the colors mean something to you. O nuuu please do share if you like. This is your space and everyone else's. I like full forum thread responses as it means it's something the community really likes

My jars I picked are these:

I picked this one as sometimes I have very dark moments. I'd like to put all those dark scary thoughts/feelings in here as I know it will pass. I want them jarred up and sealed as I know if I believe these things it will not let me be minful of the true things about me

I picked this jar as sometimes I have very silly feelings. I'd love to label this jar "validation" as no matter how I'm feeling all is valid. I am being mindful and noticing these feelings.

This jar is for Hope. Even though I struggle at times I have hope that one day I can be 100% healed and loving me
My jar is glass— cold, smooth, and unassuming. Completely regular and expected.
A pale, thin coat of blue paint covers half of it, just as smooth as the glass. The color cuts out abruptly when it meets the streaks of black seeping down from the lid. Even though its dark and its not supposed to be there and its getting in the way of peacefulness, its rough and its textured and its there. Its practically painful, but its so much easier to hold onto than the calm blue.
I dont know if there is a word for it, but its similar to that feeling when you decide to stay in misery even when you know that, if you really wanted to, you could escape it.
@PurpleStatice nice of you to drop by
Wow I really like how you are mindful and desribing your jar all the way to decorating it and why. Also how you shared on your feelings as you created this jar. I wish I could take away the pain though hun. Hugs
It is ok if you stay right where your at. It is what you feel is right for now hun.
Now that you have this jar, I was wondering if you had another jar to create that was the positive feelings. What would that look like to you?
@RumpleSteeleSkin Thanks for your response! Im pretty proud of my descriptive ability, so Im glad to hear that I did a good job. I think I can try a happier jar.
The positivity jar is still glass, still the basic foundation of negativity, but the darkness is replaced with pretty, pale colors. Dreamy blues and yellows and lavenders, all clouding together like a fuzzy, warm memory. A white ribbon is wrapped around the lid, with bells that gently chime whenever I get too frustrated with myself. A soft reminder that hey, even if things can be cluttered and angry and terrifying, theres still that overlay of peaceful hope.
Serenity, I think the jar would be. :)
@RumpleSteeleSkin I absolutely love jar B. Even though it's beautiful, and I know I am a beautiful person (although it's difficult for me to admit it!), I do feel broken because I am mentally ill, representative of the broken seashells/rocks that decorate the jar. I've really struggled with continuing to grieve my former self when I was well and not mentally ill. I went through a trauma that caused my depression and anxiety. I wish I was my normal self again and still mourn what could've been, how successful I could've been, etc. I think the blue color of the stones are also a symbol for me of how I can feel sad or "blue" due my depression and low self-esteem.
@fearlessWriter78 ello you heehee good of you to drop in
I like that jar to hun. Thank you for sharing this jar will be broken/grieving. It is hard a lot of times to manage what you are right now. You ARE a beautiful person always even if that day you don't feel this. No rush on grieving on anything in your life. No race-it is your time. You are wonderful to see those blue rocks and label them as you did. You know you are very mindful right now.
Here is a jar just for you to put all your feelings/emotions of brokenness

Also here is a jar for YOU. A special one I'd like for you to always keep close to you. This jar I'd like to see you put in positive things about you. As you want to be your normal self again. Add those things in this special jar so you can pull a note out when your having a rough day.

Today we held a memorial service for my cousin who lost a 3-year battle with breast cancer. My jar is a mason jar covered with parchment-like paper covered with pretty butterflies and a thick pink ribbon around the top. In it I put grief, sadness, sympathy, longing (for those I have lost), love (for my family members and friends who have experienced much loss), depression, anxiety, fear (of losing someone), relief (that her battle is over and she is no longer in pain), joy at being able to see family members I rarely see, and gratitude that I was able to travel to attend the memorial.
@exuberantMaple397 I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my mother to cancer in 2015. I can relate to the grief and depression. I like that you included the pink ribbon, perhaps as a symbol of breast cancer awareness in honor of your cousin. I'm glad you were able to attend the memorial and wish you all the best on your journey <3
@fearlessWriter78. Thank you.
@RumpleSteeleSkin
What a lovely and creative idea! First I'll start off by picking some jars and assigning an emotion:
JAR C - The transparency of this jar makes me feel like it would be cold inside. I'd put sadness into it - thinking about tears and how they are transparent I've made a link with this.
JAR E - I would put humour into this jar, I feel like the colour is quite playful and I'd store my funny memories here.
JAR I - I love that this jar is wearing a little knitted 'tea cosy' thing, I would put warmth and comfort into it.
Now for the bonus challenge! Create your own jar:
I have this vision of a starry night jar - all black with hundreds of glittering stars swirling around inside it, I love the moon and stars and I imagine it would be so relaxing to shake this jar and watch the stars inside. The emotion I would assign to it would be hope :)
Hi @RumpleSteeleSkin
@RumpleSteeleSkin
would choose either A & K are beautiful i would store my disappointment & sadness inside the jars since the day they put my favorite chef hands on class i was feeling excited till Friday they picked out ⁰ lucky winners i didn't get in i was a little disappointed though my male cousin / mum / some of them here told me there's another chance i feel better the reason i feel sad because i miss my favorite chef he's a married man knowing i shouldn't behave that way as he won't feel the way for me BUT i can't help myself due to my anxiety sending you many apologies don't judge me this is not i want .🙏
