Mindfulness Check-in March 30

Are you accountable? Are you mindful of the authority and responsibility you have?

Responsibility, Authority, and Accountability. They are inevitable to complete any activity effectively. Without any of them, a task could not be completed effectively.

If you have authority/powers to perform the task but no task is available. Then, authority is useless and you are not accountable for anything.

If you have responsibility but no authority, you would not be able to perform any task effectively.

And, if you have authority and responsibility, but no accountability, you may find yourself wandering.

So, you can say they need to be together to keep you sane.

If I have a responsibility to do a check-in every Saturday with the authority to use all the mediums to promote and spread the word about it. But, I created a check-in and just posted it without any tag list or featuring it, how would it reach out to the community? How would they know that I posted a check-in for them to discuss?

And in that case, I am accountable to both the Community Leader of the community as well as the community members. Also, the efforts and energy I put to create the check-in will be in vain because nobody knew about it and so nobody participated.

So, it means I could have performed my responsibility in a better way by using my powers but I did not.

And, if I do it multiple times, it may give Rumple (Community Mentor Leader of Mindfulness Community) the authority to fire me from the job of doing check-in. What sad news it is?

But, I guess I earned that by not taking ownership of my responsibility and authorities.

It means if you have the resources, utilize them and be accountable for what you do and how you do. It will keep you mindful of your roles, priorities, obligations and everything in a better way.

BTW, good news, I saved my job by doing this check-in. Rumple has no chance to fire me, at least for check-ins.
