Mindfulness Daily Check-In August 3, 2018

Hello wonderful community, hope you are all doing fine. I wish you a relaxing weekend.laugh

Today I like to ask you a question but let me first explain something.

Some time ago I planted an amaryllis in a pot inside the house, for a few days I forgot about the plant but when going into my office yesterday I realized that it put out a big red flower. Instantly I started to smile and felt a kind of warmth in my heart. I also hang up a new picture I painted (thanks to mandala), reminding me to stay calm and it does when I look at it.

The plant and the picture do their job very well. They trigger feelings I consider important like a moment of happiness, calmness. There is so much more we can trigger in a positive way.

My question today: Do you have things in your house to trigger what you are looking for/consider important?

If you feel comfortable, please share.

Hey there, today's check-in is very interesting :)

I also have a special plant, a peace lily. Every time I see it growing nice and tall it makes me feel really happy. I love plants and watching them grow is important to me. Taking care of my plants makes me feel very positive and they remind me to take care of myself. I have a few little succulents on my window sill that I am responsible for and as I remember to water them I remember that I am growing too hehe and to drink lots of water.

Take care, hope you have a great weekend <3

I totally agree to the fact that plants make us feel more positive, they bring "life" into the homes. Thanks for sharing your positive views. smiley

HIya Peace wow I so live this check in today-thank yousmiley

Do you have things in your house to trigger what you are looking for/consider important?

oh yes yes I have things all over my house that bring me into a smile or a positive memory. Like things my client's give me. I have a monkey animal as well as my clients favorite candle on top of my fridge. That gives me the giggles cause she was such a brat with humorheart I have drawings my kids make me up on my wall by my computer desk as well as mother day drawings in my room my kids done.

I believe no matter where we have these positive triggers around us, it is a choice to allow that thing to impress on our modes.heart

I rumple, thanks for coming in. I particularly like what you said " it is a choice to allow that thing to impress on our modes" - true, it is an internal decision and we consciously can add to improve our modes as well by little things in my opinion

Hey@amiablePeace77 heart I love plants and flowers too but cannot look after them so well. Mostly I forget watering and they become pale by time and die :(

For now I have only one orchid with me. It was a gift of a friend two years ago and I am so surprised how strong flower it is :) Despite my irresponsibility ,it is still alive ! When I see it blossoms white flowers I cannot tell how much happy I am. It is a different feeling ,like a different form of smiling in its language . I feel like its every flower is bringing me good news from my dear friend. Now I am really careful about it. I fondle its leaves , sometimes speak with it also begging it "please please dont die " :) I hope I will manage to look after it better and will live this special moments more .

Thank you for this nice topic ,I love talking about my orchid smiley

Omg talk of plants. Total number 58😲

No lie I love each and everyone of them. Saturday's morning is their time. Each one gets leaves sprayed n dusted a spoon to fluffing their diet. Rag to dust their container and some water. Each one gets attention and when one not doing well, it comes by my computer desk for 1-1 love💖

My question today: Do you have things in your house to trigger what you are looking for/consider important?
I have plenty of things in my house that trigger happiness, smiles, calmness, relaxation, and peace within me. I have picture of my dad and I everywhere as well as pictures of my family and friends. I have cute little animal statues everywhere and an unicorn squishy. I have different colors in my room that are pleasing as well as some flowers hanging on my side door. I find things generally pleasing as well as positive triggers within my home. smiley

@amiablePeace77 this one I do not understand but here goes.

Do you have things in your house to trigger what you are looking for/consider important? What I do have is things I trip over to remind me to go get groceries or pick up things or go to class. Images can be messages too.
