Mindfulness Daily Check-In March 22
Goood Morning My Awesome Mates
How are we doing today?
Mindfulness is an awesome tool for mental well-being and get focus on NOW compasionately. I remember I told someone about mindfulness and they were like, "Oh I need to sit like folding legs with closed eyes for an hour? " I was like, "Nuuuu, that's not true." Took time to explain the stuffs about mindfulness and they get that what they talking about is meditation and it is one of the ways to be mindful. Not the only form of mindfulness.
I guess he wasn't alone who have such thoughts. I guess many think that way. That's fine because meditation is practiced more actively and we lack knowledge about mindfulness. It happens. So, due to being unaware about it, we have certain stereotype beliefs about mindfulness and that's what I'd like to share and discuss with you.
Getting started with meditation is only form of mindfulness. Meditation is one form and even meditation has different ways to perform. Mindfulness is really big. It is about being present in this moment without judgement with full focus. Even washing dishes is form of mindfulness.
You can easily find mindfulness in every activities you do.
When it comes to mindfulness, many think it is about being quiet.
No noise. Not true. You can be mindful even amidst of noise of horns. Staying tuned with the traffic rules and lights is a form of mindfulness you following while driving. When you doing something with intentions and motivation, that is mindfulness. Probably, at home kids making noise while you reading this post. You trying to be mindful of what you reading.
This is something many questioned me, "I am practicing mindfulness but it has no impact on me. No change." Yeah, agree with them. Mindfulness not start giving 100% results from day One. Like, to give exam you study entire year. You not get prepared for it in one day. Similarly, mindfulness is about practicing everyday and experiencing its impact slowly and steadily.
Mindfulness is just for people with mental health issues.
Yeah, many said this. Undoubtedly it is great for people with mental health issues and help them to cope up with it effectively. But not mean, you can't try it. Even you can practice. Mindfulness is for improving mental well being and we all need it. Isn't it?
So, these were few myths I had which I came across. Is there any myth you know about mindfulness? How could we spread awareness and overcome these myths? Let's discuss together.

Hey @ASilentObserver !! Hope you are doing amazingly :D
One myth about mindfulness is that it takes a lot out of your day, and it is a waste of time. This is completely false! Mindfulness can be practiced in very short amounts of time and it is totally worth it. The impacts of mindfulness are so beneficial to the way you live your life, and the people that don't agree haven't tried it. Getting used to doing a simple mindfulness routine everyday will soon become second nature, you will be practicing mindfulness without even noticing it ;)
thank you for the check in <3
