Mindfulness Daily Check In May 2, 2018

W-O-R-R-Y L-E-S-S W-E-D-N-E-S-D-A-Y

OMG I am late- now I'm worried some will miss the check in for today
Oh man I'm such a jerk!!!!!

Hi community- bug hugz I give each of you this morning
That is an example I trully fight with at times. Letting others down when I need to to life responsibilities. But- I tell myself that it's ok. I had to work and when I get home I will do a wonderful check in. See how I handle just that 1 worry for myself?
I do know that for some worrying is really hard not to do. It can be caused by awful things in life happening to you that makes you worry more. Worry can also come from a mental illness that causes the symptom of worrying. Either way hugz
we are gonna work on how we can lesson our worry together today
Please choose 1 or all of them to listen and refocus on:
A walk on the beach-https://youtu.be/H72t3kMrA_A
Body Scan- https://youtu.be/aIC-Io441v4
Relax and breathe:Do nothing for 10 minutes- https://youtu.be/aXItOY0sLRY
After you have tried 1 or all of these, share how you are feeling here. Worry sometimes is a good thing, it can motivate us to get certain things done in life. But mostly worry can destroy alot in us. We need to learn to "retrain" our minds on how it reacts to worrysome things in life. Practicing mindfulness helps eliminate alot of the worry.

Hey Rumple!! Yes don't worry: thank you for posting the check-in it's awesome :D
I'm gonna check out those videos, I think I might do a guided meditation before I go to bed tonight and see how that might help my sleep :)
Oooh the 'do nothing for 10 minutes one' looks hard. Okay that's something I'd need to practise, maybe I will start with a shorter amount of time and see if I can focus myself completely. It is hard not to drift away and think about other things, but I'm sure with practise it will get easier to concentrate.
Take care @RumpleSteeleSkin hope you are well <3
@peppermintlove
Hi Pepperment nice to have to step in today
That is great that you will do one of them before bed. They do help sooth and calm before bed, so you are bright and shining the next day. Yes doing nothing for 10 whole minutes can be hard. But as you shared maybe do 3 minutes and the next time 5 minutes. All it is is focusing on the breathing thing-lol nothing else. How about trying it and not sit by a clock or watch or worry on how long you are doing it? Try this as well as what you shared-Im excited to see how it goes. Good luck
@RumpleSteeleSkin
I don't like you calling yourself a jerk, I don't think you are
I am happy that you forgive yourself though, because I'm sure everyone on here does. We all have busy lives and busy schedules. And hey, you're still on time with a fantastic check-in. But why am I telling you this, you realized this already!
As for the execises, I loved the beach walk. I was already pretty relaxed about today because I got a lot done and there's a couple of friends coming over in a while. But still it was a very pleasant experience and I feel very good right now
@JayTheBird14
Hia Jay great you are here today
aaww no I am not a jerk-I was sharing some worrying thoughts even I have with you all. As well as how I talk myself through.
That is great to hear you liked the beach exercise! Oh wow friends coming over is a great thing. Now Im jelly lol. I do hope the rest of the day with friends goes well for you
@RumpleSteeleSkin Hi Rumple! :) How are you? I hope you are having a wonderful week so far! <3 Also, thank you for such an amazing check-in! :D I tried the Relax and Breathe: Do Nothing for 10 Minutes video and it honestly was so hard. I had to focus on my breathing and avoiding thinking or doing anything. It was not easy, but it really helped me feel more relaxed and less worried. Worry, stress, and anxiety definitely destroys me by negatively impacting my health, and so I definitely need to "retrain" my mind in how it reacts to such things! :)
@SaimaK
Hi Saima wonderful to see you here today
aawww I'm sorry to hear doing the exercise was a bit rough for you. It is ok if thoughts come in or we drift off on other things. Thing is mindfulness helps teach us to be gentle and kind to ourselves. But hey look-it had you feeling morerelaxed and worried. Just think if you practice that daily for the rest of the week-how would it make you feel? Congratulate yourself for sticking with it!! Great job
@RumpleSteeleSkin It is wonderful to see you too! Thank you, and I completely agree with you! It definitely helped immensely, and I believe it will help me better handle worriness if I practice it on a daily basis for the rest of the week. :) Thank you so much! :) <3

i had a quick look at all 3 and will listen to them a bit later. from what i can say already now is that the third one allows me to tune in with my breath very well, also seeing the image "breathing". thanks for this gift :)
