Mindfulness Daily Check-In November 1, 2017

Hello everyone. November started today. It is almost the end of 2017.
It may feel time has been stolen from us or spent too quickly. Mindfulness can help us appreciate life more rather than feeling like a zombie. Some ways we can include mindfulness in hectic time is by putting away electronic devices and paying attention to the stilness. Another way is to not to multi-task and have full awareness to one single task, such as eating. Notice the smells and taste by taking your time with it.
Do you feel as time is slipping from you? What ways can we incorporate mindfulness help us to appreciate time?

@wonderfulPumpkin71
Hiya there pUmpkieee
Thank you for this check in. Wow my time idk if I am really mindful of. I just do do go go. lol But lately tracking what I do, and also stop planning things in my own self care time. Learning to say no politely is a good thing I need to practice. Thank you for this reminder as it is going to get busy real soon and I need to practice saying nuuuuuuuuuuu
@wonderfulPumpkin71 this is a great question. I think the way time seems to me the more I am present and in this moment the more I feel I am "riding the wave" like a surfer on the ocean swells. There is no cramming things in but an intense focus on this moment. There is no other I can be in.
To do lists help me relieve my anxiety. I know it is on the list. What is a priority I do first. The list is my friend!
@soulsings
most definitely agreed, lists are a really good way of being organised and it is so satisfying to have completed the tasks and ticked them all off the list!
i find what soul said it totally true to me, to do lists are very good because just think about how you feel
a) running around in the morning, keeping your memory occupied by trying to remember what to do next and the pressure not to forget something
b) writing it down, just remembering the list
when busy, time can pass so fast that we hardly give us the chance to realize what we are doing. if it comes to that point i try to sit down and collect myself and then start again at a slower speed with higher awareness.
So excited - taking the challenge of making time for the things that I want to achieve
Tonight I start a Mindfulness course - only 4 sessions over 4 weeks - but doing this with a good friend and we are both eager to learn more
Have also made a pledge to spend less time on the computer and more time listening to music and reading books -real ones with paper and everything - combined with my gardening and cooking this is all deliberate behaviour to focus on being in the moment - consciously connected to my world and my activity - less endless rumination and self doubt - ONWARDS and only a month until Summer - Happy Days
