Image result for Letting Go Fall Season

Goooood afternoon wonderful community!! Lately I have been chatting with many on here as well in my personal life on: I'm struggling with it being Fall" And that is really ok. I want you all to know this, it is very normal to have some inner struggles of changes of seasons. As it gets darker/lighter faster, sometimes colder/hotter. Many things do change and it also stops us from certain things we are normally doing outside. And for a huge group- it keeps us more in the house, away from socialization and stuff. So I thought today, we could do a mindfulness meditation of "Letting Go" Come on please join me you allheart

Find a comfortable seat on your couch, chair, or in your favorite place in nature. Settle into your body by connecting with your breath, lowly inhaling through your nose, slowly exhaling through your mouth. Notice how your body and mind begin to soften and relax.
Visualize a scene from nature during the fall: the reds, browns, darker greens, and yellows of the terrain around you, a cool breeze blowing, and the dryness of the brush, branches, and earth.

Now imagine that your body, your breath, your emotions, and your mind are an extension of nature. Perhaps you see yourself as a tall oak tree, the mist rising off a lake at dawn, or youre simply basking in the late afternoon sunset or the golden glow of a harvest moon.
Be aware that you are about to embark on an inward journey. As you prepare to rest and prepare for the budding of a new you after the winter ice thaws, dare yourself to dream of:

** the person you would like to be

** the activities you want to do

** the environment you thrive in most

** the lifestyle you want to have when you wake up from your deep sleep

Next, notice an area of your life where there is some heaviness a burden or an unnecessary load. Maybe its physical belongings like an accumulation of furniture, clothing, old trinkets, or stacks of papers. Perhaps your baggage is within the area of your intimate relationship, your career, your health and fitness, or family. Let yourself see where there is an over-accumulation of physical stuff, emotional upset, mental challenges, or spiritual disconnect.
Reconnect with your dream of what your life could look like, feel like, and sound like once you are free of the burdensome weight you have been carrying. What would you be doing then that is different from how you are living now? How would your relationships begin to thrive? How would your energy levels and mental clarity be propelling you toward your goals? Create an internal representation (a visual image, a feeling, or a sound) of how you, your life, and your surroundings could be different.
As you bask in your picture of how things could be, ask yourself what qualities you would need to embrace to be the type of person who could powerfully catapult yourself from beneath the weight of what you now carry to the new you that awaits? Do you need to have more compassion toward yourself or others? Do you need to listen more attentively without the need to fix things or justify your position? Do you need to cultivate more strength so you can set and maintain boundaries? Do you need to be more honest and find a loving yet direct way to speak your truth? What characteristics would be most beneficial to acquire so that you can begin to take your next steps?

This will help you take charge of your life. Its a process of letting go of anything that isnt you due to toxic relationships, limiting beliefs, and obstacles that prevent you from living your dream. It allows you to take responsibility for every choice you make and every action you take (or dont take). Whenever you begin a new path, anything you havent cleared out or brought to completion will follow you onto the new path, so now is the time to let go of anything you need to leave behind as you begin a new season.

Approach the fall with anticipation, preparation, and excitement. Observe its energy and watch as it cyclically moves through its phases—transitioning from one moment to the next, sometimes intensely and sometimes gently.heartheart

@RumpleSteeleSkin

This was a really lovely meditation cycle that reminded me of a yoga class I've been to last week that was on the same topic.

My teacher told me that during spring and summer, when we have lots of energy, is when we make most changes. We fill our bodies and minds with a positive spirit, with energy, and we work on ourselves. We grow and blossom.

But then autumn comes, and winter soon after. Just like trees, we gotta go in energy-saving mode. All that we've learned in the summer, we can safely store away now, and fully take into our minds. And all that's left? Well we have to let that go, like the leaves of the tree, like you told us in this meditation session. It is natural to rid yourself of the ballast, so you can go through winter calmly, energy-saving, anticipating, waiting for spring to bring back your energy to grow again.

I hope everyone will get through these months of change well heart

Hey Jay-wow so great to see you todaysmileyWow small worlds think alinke I say! I agree with your teacher on this. For me I am very active and also lose weight and stuff. I also believe the more energy is part due to the outside world being full bloom, beautiful flowers, smells of wind, rain and grasses, trees so ful also the beautiful butterflies and some of the bugs too! So it makes sense that our spirit, mind feels good-right.

Wow I so love reading your words. Yes Fall and Winter do bring on a change outside-as well as in us. Sometimes it's really hard to make the change or even prepare ourselves for this. People share with me"Rumple I store and stock up....but when Fall/Winter comes I go to look around for my storage things-Gone" And that too is normal. All we can do really is be mindful of the here and now. Meaning WINTER...........

Jay some how we always do, but for some I hope they find ways of "stocking up" to better help them. It so was wonderful to see you todayheart
