Mindfulness Daily Check-In September 6, 2017
Hello Mindfulness Community! How are you all doing?

Fall is on it's way, and with that, changes happen in the weather and perhaps in your life as well. Most humans do not like change. We are accustomed to routine even if your routine is not structured at all. Mindfulness can help with coping with change by helping us pay attention to our thoughts and body movements. Paying attention to our body movements can be helpful to find out the impact of our struggle with change. Going outside and noticing nature is a form of mindfulness as well, helping our attentions be more clearer while bringing new perspective to our worlds.
I would like to know your thoughts.
How can mindfulness help with coping with change?

HIya Pumkieee
thank you for this wonderful check-in today
I personally loooooove Fall. Love that its jeans/joggers and sweatshirts/t-shirts weather. Love that the trees are all changing to beautiful colors as well. But yes I agree change in general is hard. I think my mood changes to, cause it's not pretty outside no more. Like nature went to sleep for awhile. But as you said being mindful of whats outside and enjoy that. So I will try and change the way I see things this Falll.
thank you Pumkie

On my side of the world, its spring and this is a time when I wake up with nature.I am more active and more outside because summer is on his way and I love the sun. At night I get a chance to sit outside and watch the moon make the whole world glow.
@wonderfulPumpkin71 Hello pumpkin it's a great post which helped me a lot during my challenging moment now. For me I'm being mindful to my body these days. As I'm on recovery process and doing therapy, I need to be aware about my body even for every single things. Cause it's source information for my doctor to decide what should to do and should not during the process. And as I focus on my body then I become more aware about the changed and the progress from the therapy. I also become more aware about what kind of movement that give me more pain and which one is less paining. It helped me to understand more about my body and it helped me about the recovery process.
It also help me to be positive cause when I'm being focus about my body changed, then I become more aware and noticed every single progress from time to times. There are times I feel down and stucked as I've been doing the therapy in long time. And this helps me to be grateful as it remind me for every improvement that I got.
I've never thought of using mindfulness when it comes to coping with change since I know that change is apart of life it's sort of something I've accepted I suppose.
@wonderfulPumpkin71 my mind resist change heavily wheteher its new books topics,places, people or anything, i just cant accept those and i keep thinking of past.
@Santysan
Santysan, changes are not always easily to accept and I wonder whether you might be missing things from your past which made you feel comfortable. I find mindfullness helps to see changes in a more positive way but our mind needs time to adjust to a different way of seeing the things.
@wonderfulPumpkin71 change is tough. It seems like we get used to one change and another one happens.
For me mindfulness gets me to accept the changes by not trying to control my thoughts and just accept what I can be aware of like my breath and what I focus on. Mindfulness is like another sense that when I am aware of it shows me a life that I am living that is more than I dreamed was possible. This present moment really is a wonderful thing to be aware of.
