We face difficulty to manage our worries when we are stressed or anxious. Often it feels like mind is participating at many athletic events simultaneously. Sometimes even different tips, tricks to deal with stress or coping mechanisms for anxiety not work effectively.

Sometimes we struggle to tackle our anxiety and stress. Then, probably we need to look for other ways or maybe cultivating a new hobby?

Yeah! Hobbies could be a nice mechanism to deal with anxiety or stress in a better way. When you indulge in such hobbies, it works as lovely distractions for your super active mind.

Like, making a painting in a workshop or in a group could help to recover from mental illness in a better way as it makes person feel valued and accomplished for what they did. Paintings, even allow to think out of the box and bring out your creativity. Even if you are bad at drawing and painting like me, no worries, still this is worth your try.

Roll up your sleeves, have a pencil and paper or some colors. And draw your thoughts. Such activities need great deal of focus as you start working on tiny details like giving a sharp edge at one point, bringing curves and all. It allows you to have some time with yourself. And while painting or drawing, you will realize that you not thinking about your problems, struggles and so and feeling calm, relaxed and mind racing to bring out the best creativity of yours. laugh

Painting not your cup of tea? Probably Gardening could become your mug of coffee?? enlightened Planting, pruning, trimming is such an amzing hobby that relaxes your mind muscles and you feel relieved from tensions. Wouldn't you like watching some saplings planted by you growing old? It feels like a kid growing in front of you as strong man or beautiful woman. The smell of leaves, flowers, petals, watching the roots getting thick and strong, branches growing. It gives you an emotion, a feeling which couldn't be summed up in words.

Gardening not your mug of coffee? Then, maybe free writing maybe your glass of water. cool When you thinking, you actually feel like a mess. So many thoughts mixed there. Let fix it by free writing your thoughts on a paper unconsciosuly. A past event or memory haunting you? Try to write it down. It will help you to heal from those scars.

surprise Sowwie mates! Actually, those are my hobbies that work for me when I am anxious or feeling stressed. Those hobbies allow me to have a sense of enlightenment, observing own thoughts and environment from a new perspective. What about you?

What hobby you think could be helpful to tackle the stress or anxiety? Let's try to cultivate some hobbies together.

Hi Observer,

These are wonderful, creative ways to not only distract yourself but to find your unique way of expressing yourself in a positive, compassionate way.

I love to sketch or paint. When I am in the mood for art yet limited on time I enjoy the adult coloring books with their intricate patterns.

One of the hobbies I have recently returned to is photography. I love the outdoors and the beauty of nature. If I am really fortunate, I print a copy of a relaxing scene. They are working well to keep me grounded as the details are so vividly etched in my mind. They are also a nice reminder of the beauty in the world.

I am an avid reader, writer and enjoy music. I play the piano or find the perfect playlist.

Sometimes I find that doing something simple and inexpensive to make my home feel like it is uniquely mine is a great way to spend an afternoon. It is amazing how a little paint, a few new pillows or changing the material on my dining room chairs lifts my spirits.

Thank you for sharing as now I am inspired to create.

I hope you have a beautiful day 💛

I've found myself doing my hobbies much less lately, just because it takes energy to start them. But on better days I like to draw and crochet. I have a huge blanket that I'm making and it's so warm and heavy. It keeps me warm while I make it. I've also learned how to make pasta by hand, and rolling the smooth dough through the machine is relaxing, and then I get lot's of delicious pasta to eat after!

@BlueMossWeaver27

I could feel you Moss. Starting a hobby takes good energy but it seems worth efforts. Sounds good that you made pasta all by yourself. Yum!

I'm poor in drawing but I try to do them. And I never did crochet but seems like interesting hobby. I hope I could ever get a chance to learn it. <3

Silent thank you for this check-in todaysmiley I am both artistic and also love to plant. I love to have my hands in cold dirt. Idk how to explain that feeling, I just know that it makes me feel close to nature, peaceful-like I am in my one world. I do my plants every weekend and I so enjoy opening my blinds and windows. Thank you for reminding us of the simple things that bring us some joyheart

@ASilentObserver

Gardening is definitively my cups of tea, the physical work (if not too much) relaxes me, gets the stress out of the body, the fresh air is energizing and i love to see the plants growing.

apart from that i love to design and create something new, it is a kind of exitement and challenges me. at the moment i am building some new wall lamps for our living room. the ideas about what material to use, which design create happiness in me. it is always like moving on.

I really like colouring pictures. You don't have to think too much, and you don't need to be one bit tallented for it. You just grab your colours and let them tell you how you feel. Your mandala got all blue and dark?? I'm so sorry, feel better soon. You're flower drawing brighter than the sun?? So happy you're feeling happy today laugh Get what I mean?? At least, it works for me like this anyway hehe

a really goood hobby that has helped me calm down and its almost meditative has been Crochet. it is really easy anyone can pick it up male or female and you can create some neat things while your mind is so focus on the stitches that it brings you into the present moment and everything fades away

Journaling, dancing, coloring - these are my go-to activities. Thanks for the reminder, because I did the former two recently, but I haven't done the last one for a while. Good idea for tomorrow!
