There is a "secret technique" in the mindfulness tradition called the direct path.lets say you have anxiety in your chest or any form of disruption in your body due to anxiety or stress. By resting your attention on that area, if done with equinamity in relation to the sensations you will notice that the anxiety will recede, it will still be there but less powerful. Overtime you will learn how it works and it will go away. You can actually resr your attention there by putting your hand in the area. You can also rest your attention on the area of stress and go along wirh you daily activities. It is very effective in qwelling anxiety and understanding its nature as just sensations. I hope this will help many of you guys. With love.

Meditation, shower, going for a walk, or simply breathing and looking around a room and picking out objects noticing their color and texture. Engaging in my senses and reminding myself all I have is the ever changing present moment.

I've started doing 1 minute illustrations while listening to some sort of podcast that makes me happy. Being able to draw quickly and let go of the figure drawing without worrying about any mistakes I may have made is therapeutic and the podcast helps me to not think about anything I might be overly stressing about so I can relax

@RainyLeaves recently opened my eyes to how helpful keeping a worry journal can be. I've kept a journal before, but it was mainly centered around the bad things that had happened to me. Now, I'm taking it a step further and thinking of how I can reduce each negative in my daily life by coming up with solutions and trying them out. I've only recently started, but I have a feeling this will help me out and I hope it can help others too laugh
