Benefits of Mindfulness

Mindfulness meditation can significantly improve our long-term well-being when practiced on a regular basis. It will improve your mental, physical health and help you to manage your relationships.

Other benefits of mindfulness include becoming more aware and understanding increased memory capacity and concentration, reduced stress, and the feeling of being more productive/creative.

1. What benefit of mindfulness have you noticed in yourself?

2. What would you recommend to someone who would like to practice mindfulness on regular basis but forgets/has a busy schedule?

Hey @globalBraid3744 , wonderful thread !❤

1. What benefit of mindfulness have you noticed in yourself?

I am not regular at it but it does feel so calming and relaxing .

2. What would you recommend to someone who would like to practice mindfulness on regular basis but forgets/has a busy schedule?

This is literally myself haha !

I'd say try and take out some time whenever able to , while beginning small durations are fine also and then ofcourse gotta start fixing a routine ....*reads this thrice* xD

Tagging some who'd able to share some benefits and tips with us -:

@kacosmic , @DonaldDraper , @soulsings , @amiablepeace77

( no pressure to answer ofcourse ❤ )

@Sunisshiningandsoareyou

I am happy you enjoyed reading it :)

You are right - also small durations can help us feel more calm and relaxed. When do you usually find time to practice mindfulness?

I have one app recommendation indeed. It is called Simple Habit and it is based on the finding that we can create new habits in as little as one month! This is what helped me to stick to regular meditation. You can start with only 5 minutes per day.

@Sunisshiningandsoareyou as far as ways to practice mindfulness when you have little time or cannot remember.

My way of coping with little time is the app HealthyMind which is free and has no adds or in program purchases. It only takes 5-6 minutes a day although some days I enjoy extending the time.

@soulsings

HealthyMind is a great app. I like when they give you the opportunity to choose how much time you want to dedicate to mindfulness, so it is also easier for busy people to find little time for it.

@exquisitePeace7976

It is great that it makes you more relaxed and peaceful. What kind of mindfulness do you like to do? (guided mindfulness exercise, body scan, mindful eating, diary, etc.?)
