Examples of the best meditation for mental health:

Mindfulness Meditation: This teaches you how to observe your thoughts and emotions without being judgemental toward yourself. This breaks free any doubts in your brain.

Belly breathing: Breathing is important when doing your meditation and mindfulness exercises. Breathing through your nose and out your mouth is the proper way to breathing.  Breathing will lower your heart rate, and calm yourself in a stressful moment.

Body-scan meditation: This is when you mentally scan all the parts of your body. It is important to sit properly when meditating a comfortable position you will use while meditating. You maintain a body scan by starting at your head and working down to your feet.

Loving-kindness:  This is how you treat yourself and others around you. By being loving and kind not only to yourself but towards others keeps you in a pleasant and calm manner.

Tips for getting started:

Start small:  Begin by going slowly do not rush it or overload yourself.  Timing yourself 3-5 minutes in the beginning  and working toward 10 minutes can help you.

Focus on being consistant: Doing short session is better for your mental health than longer ones.

Expect a wondering mind:  Notice how your mind begins to wonder and gently bring it back to the present form. This is done through your breathing.

My meditation is walking.. it's healthy and it's free.. Getting out and breathing fresh air helps every time. I get to spend time reflecting and refocusing my mood and thoughts..🌲

Meditation helps me to find peace in difficult times. It allows me to calm down, and often I see a clearer picture when I am finished meditating. My favorite ones are staying present or something comforting.
