Welcome to Motherhood Support

...See more Welcome to Motherhood Support!  Whether you’re pregnant, postpartum, trying to conceive, parenting, or supporting someone you love - you’re in the right place. If you feel up for it, introduce yourself in the comments: 1) Where are you at in the motherhood journey? If supporting a mother/mother-to-be, who are you on the team? Examples: pregnant (how many weeks), postpartum (how many weeks/months), TTC, parenting a toddler/teen, supporting a partner/friend/sister etc. 2) What’s one thing that’s been helping you feel a little more okay lately? It can be tiny - a nap, a walk, a show, a snack, a person, a playlist. 3) Icebreaker: If you could get one “free assist” this week, what would it be? A “free assist” just means one helpful thing someone could do for you - a small lift that makes the week easier. Meal drop-off, laundry reset, a ride to an appointment, 30 minutes alone, someone to hold the baby while you shower - anything that can help you! We're excited to meet and support you! Feel welcome to share whatever is comfortable.

...See more Alguna mamá por acá que se sienta sola? Me está pasando hace 2 meses de sentirme encerrada en la maternidad, solo salgo de mi casa para ir a trabajar 😔 Is there any mom here who feels lonely? For the past two months, I’ve felt trapped by motherhood; the only time I leave the house is to go to work 😔

...See more Ive been struggling the past week or so with my depression. Could be attributed to several things-started a new weight loss med, I was on vacation from work last week, the weather changes- but id been feeling so guilty about being sad because I have the best daughter in the would and shouldn't have a reason to be sad. And then last night, my daughter was playing with my hair and said "mommy's hair beautiful" and it just made everything better ❤️

...See more Are there any single women out there who have experience with, or have given consideration to conceiving through cryobank donors?  I'm interested in guidance, warnings, etc. about this route of motherhood.

...See more I need some advice for how to get my toddler to eat his food. I cant get him to eat what i make for him. He only wants snacks and milk most the time. When i try to hand him a piece of fruit he only pretends to take a bite and then is no longer interested. This is my first and only child and i have zero support im a single mom and this issue has been going on way too long im starting to worry and am completely overwhelmed. He tells me no everytime i try to get him to eat, but this morning he tells me hes hungry and wants cake so i made him something sweet french toast sticks,  but didnt give him cake and he wouldnt touch that either.

...See more Hey guys! I’m new here.. and I hate to be a so called “Debbie downer” on my first post. I literally just googled support groups and this one was the first one to pop up. I’m struggling. I’m struggling with life, my marriage, and being a parent. I wake up and just don’t want to do it anymore. My husband and I have 3 kids. I stay at home with them 24/7 and my husband works. We have no help from family. So I don’t ever get a break.. I know that sounds so selfish and I should be grateful. But even when my husband is home I don’t get a break. He literally sees me struggling doing everything with the kids and he doesn’t even offer to help me. I don’t want to seem like im bashing him because I’m not. I guess I just don’t understand. Anytime I see him frustrated I try to do what I can to make his life easier. And when he’s home it feels like he’s not even here. Stuck on his phone or the game.  Our kids are very close in age and extremely active. So I am constantly on edge keeping them out of stuff and dealing with tantrums.. I guess I just need to vent but also find support. I have no one.. I don’t have time for friends because it’s too much to take all three kids out and work around everyone else’s schedule..

Infertility, Child Loss, looking for women who can relate

...See more Hey everyone. I’ve found this group while looking for a community where I can talk through some of the grief and struggles I’ve experienced over ten years of dealing with infertility. I’ve got endometriosis, and “unexplained infertility.” We tried all sorts of treatments but nothing ever took. The truth is it’s never not on my mind. There are times when I feel so incredibly inadequate, and so deeply grief stricken that I can barely function. I also have two beautiful kids we adopted from foster care who I love with my whole heart and sometimes the guilt I feel for wanting to have a biological child is worse than the pain of not being able to.  Can anyone in here relate? I don’t have a lot of support, and often feel like a burden when bringing it up. Like I’m a downer. I’d love to talk to anyone with similar experiences. Maybe we can help each other.

...See more I am a wife and mother, and I generally do well. However, I constantly worry that my mental health could affect my family. As a result, I work hard to prevent them from feeling the effects of anxiety and depression, since I have experienced these issues myself. I believe I have made them overly aware of their feelings and boundaries, which might unintentionally add to the very problems I want to prevent.

...See more I live an hour away from civilization. I'm alone with my toddler almost all day every day. When I'm too tired to do anything besides grow another person, my toddler thinks that's the best time to push my buttons. I can't regulate my mood when I'm that tired, and I react too strongly to him. What am I supposed to do?

...See more Just going to share the thoughts that are running around in my head.... I know I'm pregnant, but is there really a living, blueberry-sized baby in there? Is it normal that my nausea is more manageable this week than last week? Will this baby make it? Can I have the ultrasound today instead of on Monday? I think I've waited long enough. Can it be Monday the 11th already???

Parenting Tips and Tricks

...See more Hi! What are your favorite tips and tricks you've learned while raising a toddler? Mine is to make potty training super exciting! I recently started doing an enthusiastic countdown for my son to indicate it's time to go potty, and after "ONE!" I say, IT'S SUPER L-----!!!" and then I carry him in the Superman position into the bathroom. He loves it! And it makes potty training so much easier than when I used a neutral voice to say, "Time to go potty." He used to protest potty time, but now he doesn't!
