Accountability buddies
Hi everyone! I hope you are well. Changing habits are hard but its harder when you are on your own. It helps to have someone who can keep you accountable. Someone who can be a sense of strength when you want to give up. Accountability buddies can look like this:
Your therapist
A 7 Cups Listener
Friend(s)
Parent(s)
Sibling(s)
Family members
Think of a time you tried to change a habit. Did you use an accountability buddy, if not then would that have helped?
@Hope I've never had to change any of my habbits 😁 cause I'm perfect😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
@Tinywhisper11
You are, indeed. ❤ 💙 💜
@Clio9876 haha! Thanks clio ❤❤😎
I use an accountability buddy(my girlfriend) for maintaining our exercise routines and diet. It works well and keeps us both in check. With that said, I'm not really one to ask for help in anything in my life. I have been raised, and believe, that asking for help or opening up to someone shows weakness. At 51 years old, I find it extremely hard to ask for help or "talk
to someone". BUT..... I have no problems coming here,
anonymously, and throwing it all out there. Kinda weird hey......
So, to answer your question, I don't ask for help, can't remember a time when I really did, but
probably would have been better off in a lot of areas of my life if I did.
@CyclingThroughLife bless you ❤ I'm glad you can open up here ❤ 7 cups is truly a blessing. Hugs you
@Hope I have never had an accountability partner so I ended up pretty much going back to old habits once a few days/weeks passed. I think maybe having an accountability partner would've helped
@KateDoskocilova 🤔🤔🤔🤔 I think your practically perfect in every way ❤
@KateDoskocilova
im sure you’re totally capable of accomplishing your goals Kate! That being said, it can be difficult to do alone. I encourage you to use the friends yu make in this forum or a replicable listener to help you keep track of your missions.
My extended family keeps me accountable and my therapist and it's a good support team! I didn't have this a year ago and I'm grateful for them 💛
