14 Day Goal Challenge (Day 3 & Day 4)

My challenge is not about daily goals. It is about One Goal. That Goal is to function beyond my Guilts, Fears and Inadaquacies. I carry a heavy sense of dread but I must fight immobility.

My daily goals are ONLY important for the sense of accomplishment they possess, which gives me a small dose of confidence. I think that's what my 14 day challenge is all about. (Building Confidence and Shaking Fears)

Day 2 tested my resolve. I lost that battle. Every day setbacks and dissapointments knocked me down and kept me down. They were serious setbacks because if I accomplished them, they would have lifted me high but as the saying goes, "The taller they are, The harder they fall". I fell hard and was shut down completely. Totally bewildered, baffled and wondering why... Feeling Pathetic on some level.

Day 3 was a day of licking my wounds and thanks to some of my friends here on 7-cups, regaining some perspective and strength.

Day 4, that is today. My specific goals are not significant. What is significant is that I do them with Attitude, Cofidence and Surety.

My goals happen to be: Standard household stuff, Finalize a title transfer and if the weather permits, Help a friend with a septic system repair.

@IsayUncle Good job getting back up. Today is a new day. πŸ’™

I'll be on later to check in but I have to get groceries today which is quite a job with 7 of us - buying, unloading, putting away, and by then everyone is hungry of course!

I really hope you have a good day but if not it's ok to rest too. Yesterday I did very little because I was off and sometimes that's life with mental illness. You have value no matter what you do or don't accomplish πŸ’™

Talk to you later!

Good to hear from you M. I'm glad you rested a bit yesterday. Sometimes we just have to do that to charge our batteries. I hope you feel better today. Especially after all that shopping. My parental skills would be like, "there's the peanut butter and bread. wake me up after the kitchen is clean".

Lol, well I bought a couple of boxes of doughnuts at Walmart for a treat so that should buy me a couple of hours before I have to make dinner. It was SO hot out and the AC is out in our van so it was even more exhausting than usual. I usually only take my 13 year old daughter with me. She knows exactly what we buy, how to load the conveyer belt (we go to Aldi so we put heavy items first so they go in the bottom of the cart and bread and chips and eggs don't get smashed), helps me bag the groceries to load up and then helps carry them in when we get home. She's super helpful!

Now I am just relaxing with a cup of coffee. The boys are at the table eating doughnuts and playing games on their tablets. My thirteen year old is sitting here on the couch resting too. Justin is taking a nap and my oldest daughter is in her room enjoying the snacks we bought her and probably playing a game or drawing.

I'm just relieved to be done with the big job of the day and to be back in the air conditioning!πŸ’™

My day was not quite as exciting but i did stay upbeat for the most part and then had some good fortune come my way. someone wanted to buy one of my broken vehicles,. Sold it for $900.00. That was really good!

On the sadder side, one of my pups got hurt... cries out when petted. I've neglected giving this king cavalier a haircut and now I'm sorry. I didn't realize how matted up he was getting. Most of the time when the pups get hurt, they heal after a few days or start getting better. i hope that's the case with Cheerio.

good nite M 😊

@IsayUncle Awww I'm sorry about your pup. Cheerio is such a cute name. I hope he gets better soon! How many dogs/puppies do you have? We used to have dogs before we went to the shelter but I had to give them up. It was so sad. Now we have 3 cats.

That's awesome that you made $900 today! Are you a car guy? I should have guessed that with wanting to get a CDL.

Goodnight πŸ’™

Good Morning, I hope you wake up all awesome because of your big conquest yesterday!
We bought some property here 6 years ago. Just some woods and a tractor. I Camped and cleared the property while my Ex stayed home. Early one morning, This little black furry thing moved and made movement by the cold firepit and scared the dickens out of me! He was in pretty bad shape. He wouldn't move from that area and he didn't trust me for about 2 weeks. I built a little shelter for him there, with some nice soft bedding. I fed him Cheerios and tuna fish for seveal days until I went into town. Finally he showed up at the camper door. We became camp buddy's.

I'm really sorry about you losing your dogs. It was a survival neccessity, not really a choice or a decision. Kids first, right? My ex and I always had cats. I like cats but don't have any now. I have 4 dogs. Big (Bootsie), Medium (Gus), Medium small (Cheerio) and Small (Lo-Lo). I'm going to have to start clipping on Cheerio today. He's moving/walking around and wagging his tail but still hurting a bit so I'll have to be careful and just do what I can.

Oh yea, I do have a bit of a mechanical background but don't practice it anymore except to keep my own junkards running. I wasn't going fixt that truck for a while and it had been sitting there for a couple years so it was really cool someone asked me about it and I was able to get rid of it. And get some much needed cha-ching!

That is such a cute story about CheerioπŸ’™. I hope he gets to be feeling better soon!

Buying a piece of land and clearing it while camping sounds so fun and adventurous! I would love that! So you basically lived off grid for a while?

I have always felt that I don't really belong in the world. Everything is so complicated and stressful and too much for me. Living like that away from all the craziness would be so awesome and freeing. I love nature. It's really the only "place" I feel at peace.

We are going camping next week for four days for my birthday. That's the closest I get to enjoying that kind of life. But I'm excited for itπŸ’™

It sounds like you have a pretty cool set up with your dogs and your own piece of land. πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

It really is awesome. Everything ... all my developement and plans came to a screeching halt with the divorce and major change of direction. The forest is taking over again but it's all still here in it's glorious splendor when I get back to it.

I love it, nearest neighbor 1/4 mile either side on a seldom used back road.. mostly atv's and the such.. jealous yet? So I have a lot to be thankful for, if I can manage it. I'm off to work on a tractor. Talk soon.
