2025 Week #12 Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 03/17/25 - Sunday 03/23/25)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

WEEK #12 OF 2025 - STRIVE TO BE ALIVE
I feel like I'm already losing. I Have gotten into one of them conundrums where the less you do, the worse you feel and the worse you feel the less you can do.
When you feel like you're so far behind for the day, you don't wanna do nothing and get a fresh start tomorrow, but you're already so far behind for the week you really can't wait until tomorrow.
So you be strong and get set to do a task, but you stopped by the coffee machine or the TV or the refrigerator first, or perhaps even take a shot of liquid courage.
One of those days where the minutes and the hours just keep on ticking off and taking off and taking off until there are less and less hours for you even try to do anything.
When the longer you stay, you must admit you need the rest and that's OK! Your body and mind needs the rest. That's OK..... but it still makes you mad a little bit. So maybe try to do a little something or just rest some more.
But if it is making you feel as angry as I am right now, I MUST FIGHT LIKE *** for the rest of the day!
@IsayUncle
And then within minutes of psyching yourself up.... something happens to try to shut you down.
Like.... you go ouitside to feed the doogs and notice the high winds has blown/broken the door clean off the good freezer you had stored outside. (It was empty, but that is NOT the point) F**** the bright side!
MORE ANGRY... more determination or resign? >>>>>> FIGHT - FIGHT - FIGHT!
12:52PM: Morning tasks!
@IsayUncle Deep breath. Steady yourself. The bright side is that it was empty. I know fixing the door wasn't in the plans for today but better to know it needed fixed now before it had anything in it. That would have been worse imo 😕
@mytwistedsoul
thanks. I won't worry about fixing the freezer door anytime soon until I need the freezer. I'm just gonna ratchet strap it together until later. 👍 thx agn! 😀.
Morning tasks are done... next? Can i please trade my short monday for a long monday? 🤣😁🤣😂. I'll take more coffee though!
@IsayUncle (hands you an Irish coffee 😉) Ugh God no lol Mondays are long enough 😜
@IsayUncle i relate to this. i feel like i've been behind ever since daylight savings. i didn't even fully finish my taxes yet but i did deal with that communication i had to do. it was rough, but now that it's done it's at least a huge weight off of me.
@fearlessWriter78
Yea, it can be tough sometimes. You got it though! You'll get those taxes done.
I'm glad you did your communication thing. Thank you for sharing that with me because it helps me build my courage too. I haven't done it yet.... but, like you said, "it's rough". I'm really glad you were able to move forward with that! 👍🙂
INDECISIVENESS CAN SAP ALL MOTIVATION FROM ONES INTENTIONS.
paperwork or outside work? paperwork or outside work? paperwork or outside work? paperwork or outside work?
Decision Made: Fight Fight Fight - doing something is better than being dissuaded by confusion..
3:01PM: Outdoor Work - Disassemble tent floor system and stack pallets and plywood. Secure freezer door to freezer. Move metal frames to storage area.
Well I found out why my lab wasn't showing 100%. Two screenshots didn't save. They are there now and I have the whole thing saved. Have to do a presentation for the second part of the assignment and export to a video. I have to find an alternative way of doing that because my company has blocked the export to video option.
I will look at the fourth assignment and start that lab instead.
50% completed on the 4th lab...
@Enthenia
😱... OH NO about the export to video option. Wghat's ya gonna do?
Great job movingpast that ad getting your 4th lab started... super duper! 😁
@IsayUncle I'm going to search for open source alternatives. There has to be one or two. I need to write a paper for the 4th assignment. This class focuses on securing systems in the healthcare industry so a lot of research needs to be done.
@Enthenia
That sounds interesting and a good approach for the open source. What a great idea! A bit of a pain in the but, but a great solution! 👍 GOOD LUCK!
@IsayUncle I just have to find time to search! It will be more difficult doing it at home but I don't have an alternative this time.
i completed my taxes - hooray! :D
i woke up early yesterday and felt amazing but overdid it with the activities, which has caused my knees to be more sore than usual. (learned my lesson) so today i slept in but still went for a walk outside. it's absolutely gorgeous out, in the 60s.
yesterday i came up with a daily schedule i can follow so that gives me more clarity going forward. my goal is to try to stick to that as best as possible for the rest of the week. especially the hours i set aside for "working" but it's not a literal job as i'm unemployed, just stuff i need to work on.
@fearlessWriter78
Feeling froggy now, are you? GOOD FOR YOU.... don't over do it. 🤗.
btw... I also have a hard time differentiating the word work from doing work. 😁. I can't find any substitution when I'm working on a paying job versus working around the house. It doesn't really matter, but in my own head i guess. 🤔
That's really cool you are finding a schedule.... keep working on it. it's always in flux until you stay persistent with it and then it starts to materialize into normal.... that's awesome.
Have a wonderful day!
Got the 4th assignment completed and submitted but may have to submit again because I accidentally removed the hyphen from the assignment number and the submission attempt so it reads as 41 instead of 4-1. Some instructors are particular about things like that.
The instructor said the omission of the hyphen wasn't a big thing so I don't have to redo it
So I looked up open source presentation software and the best choice is done by a developer I am familiar with. I used another of their products to do a network layout diagram for a different class. The nice thing is, you can create a presentation in PowerPoint and it can read it which means that I can do the work in the office and then convert at home where I have less time to myself.
Got the 5th lab done. Still need to do the paper. 90% complete on the 6th lab. Just need to do one more thing but it wasn't connecting to the site. Will try again next week.
@Enthenia
Alrighty.... that's great. I always smile when you "get a break from" or "overcome" setbacks. Thanks for the smiles. 😃. Good job!
@IsayUncle well I didn't feel very productive today. Got hit with mid-morning sleepiness (well actually afternoon because I got it after we came back in from playing) which lasted a couple of hours. Of course, it could be lack of sleep from the night before. I don't know.
Just a couple of hours that could have been used to do something more productive. I still need to do a picture, my language, clean....
Just wanted to drop in and say hello. I'm still around...still doing ok, just having a hard time adjusting my routines. I've been in my new position at work for almost 5 or 6 weeks now and I am having a hard time adjusting to my new work hours pertaining to after work time management and getting in all the things I want/need to do. After working 0430 am to 1230pm for 6 years, I'm used to having all afternoon to get things done before dinner. Now that I'm working 7 to 3, getting home around 3:30, its already 4 by the time I change, wind down and can get going on whatever needs to be done....because I used to wake at 3am, I am in the habit of eating dinner early, and not doing anything after dinner because I would be in bed so early....I'm finding it hard to adjust to changing that because of routine....I will overcome this, I just don't have any idea of what kind of routine to get into....my girlfriend says I should skip an after work "routine" and just go with it but I'm not sure I can do that....Anyway, here is my contribution to the goal sharing post for this week...this spoke to me when I read it.....I need to remember this when dealing with fixing my routines....
You have leveled up in life.....old things don't work anymore....

@CyclingThroughLife
"You have leveled up in life.....old things don't work anymore...." I like that a lot. Too often , because the struggles never seem to end.... WE FORGET or DON'T EVEN REALIZE... that we have leveled up. and now we're moving higher with different obstacles.
Thanks for taking the time to say hey, and shring a greart point of view.
Your new schedule is a tough nut to crack. i liked the 430 - 1230 better. BUT you will adapt. You Can, You will, You Must! You can do it. I'm really happy to hear you got worked back into an exercise routine. 👍. The warmer weather for the much desired bicycling to take advantage of, is knocking on the front door too!
Good luck with your new routine!
With resilience I must overcome the currents of discouragement if I want to arrive upstream. Joru
RESILIENCE:
1. The capacity to withstand or to recover from difficulties; toughness.
"the remarkable resilience of so many people"
2. The ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity.
"Trying again, is an excellent example of "springing back into shape"
Be Resilient and Be proud of it. You are NOT Beaten & Broken, just tired. Rest & Try again.
