I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are usually much harder then we think. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.

@IsayUncle

Happy Thanksgiving.  Just came by to say hello.  I've been pretty sick for the last several months and really not here.  Just getting back on my feet and back involved.  Hope you all are well.  I hope you have an amazing thanksgiving for those who celebrate.  I hope you have an amazing celebrate yourself day for those who don't!

@KristenHR

Awwww, Kristen. I'm so sorry about your health. I'm actually very sad about it because I thought your absence was the result of an improved and active life direction. I hadn't heard from you and thought you were doing well. (and hopefully you still are)

I do hope you are doing well in spite of the illness, but it's hard sometimes. 💖

We never know when a blessing will pop up, and your post is a real blessing for me this morning.
More than you can think. A quick update about me, A pretty good year, but with numerous struggles and never getting the big victory.

The last month slammed me with setbacks but i was hopeful because of a good job i got. But on the day of completion of this job, this week, my backhoe broke down with a serious mechanicaal problem.

Your post was a blessing because I am so depressed, my body shut down to my brain. I was thinking about ending this thread because everything seems so hopeless and without purpose.

And then you you present your wonderful self, reminding me, (in your own very special way), not to give up.

How are you doing now? If you care to share.... what's going on?

It is really wonderful to see you again.

@IsayUncle

Sounds like it's been a bit crazy for you.  Life does have a tendency to happen doesn't it!  Don't ever give up.  While life happens, the sun always will rise again in the future.  It may seem like the darkness will never go away, but it does and morning comes.

I'm doing well now.  Back to daily life, the Parenting, Attachment and Trauma class is nearly done and will be offered starting in January.  I have 10k flyers and bookmarks to mail (the first 450 have gone out, working on the 2nd 450 now.  Wrapping up the fall semester of interns and just enjoyed the day off for Thanksgiving and back to work today so it's been a good week with less work than normal.

I'm excited to be back on here and getting back to things I'm responsible for and getting involved again.  Good to see everyone and to stop in a bit.  Carry on and know that it is worth carrying on and moving forward through the tough.  You are worth it and I am worth it.

@ Enthenia

[I haven't seen you post this week] Probably because I tried to help you feel better. I don't think I helped. (and i'm sorry). BUT if you still need someplace to VENT... you're still welcome to do it here. I won't interfere.

@IsayUncle just been super busy like usual. Monday I went to get to the report that I hadn't got to on Friday because I spent most of the day moving files over that I hadn't moved over previously. Most of the background reports were done on the 12th. I didn't get them copied until Friday (whatever date that was). Then I discovered that my password for the software I needed to use to gather customer information from had expired the previous week . Never get a warning about that. So Tuesday I had to trot over to the IT office so they could verify that I was an actual employee. That took time. And then when I got back and started looking at the customer data, quite a few had multiple accounts which meant that I'd have to spend longer getting the information from. Even with missing lunch Monday and Tuesday (which I really shouldn't do because I already have enough health problems) and coming in early on Monday. I was early on Tuesday but didn't sit at my desk because there was nothing I could do until I got the password changed. Anyways, I still didn't get them all done yesterday when they were due. I tried pulling as much data as I could yesterday afternoon but I still had three customers to do, not counting all the sorting and formatting that had to be done.

Everything's done now and fortunately, none of them needed an investigative report. I don't know if I'll get yelled at for being half a day late. The girl I cover for on the wires was shocked when she sent me a message in Teams because she had to leave early to get her daughter (she's home for the holiday) and I told her that I'd be here tomorrow. Mentioned all the vacation time I have and she was envious. She's had to use most of her time for doctor appointments. I can't even afford the time to be sick.

Speaking of affording things, my fincances had a snowball effect again. Or more like an avalance I guess. Getting phone calls from people because of late/missed payments. Not sure how it happened but I'm trying to deal with it.

It would be nice if I got paid extra for tomorrow but I won't. They don't do things like that. They don't even do things for Christmas like a lot of the places I used to work for. Not even a gift card.

My mom sent me a message saying they'll try to come down in January. Maybe then I can get an extra day off. Probably not. My coworker says I work too hard. Got no one else to do the work though and if or when there's an accounting of things, I'll be the one in trouble not anyone else.

@IsayUncle well I almost have $40 on the gaming app on my mobile. Not sure how that happened. Last time I checked, it was only $17. Can exchange it for gift cards since the transfer to bank account can take up to a week. I need things like laundry detergent but I'm trying to get the amount higher.

Right now I should look at grocery ads and do the mandatory training videos which aren't really training. It's just listening to a bunch of people at a conference chat about things that aren't really relevant to the subject they're supposed to be discussing but management says we have to view them and going against management can lead to a write up so I view them. Well, I download the transcript and let the video play in the background. I can read faster than they can get to the subject anyway.

Tried getting some financing options but I don't qualify. Got rent coming up too. Would be nice to win one of those contests and then I'd be able to pay back what I owe but things like that don't happen to me.

Called my mom to wish her a happy holiday. My dad sent some money over even though I told him he didn't have to. Got my balance positive and I can get a few things at the store that will still be open when I leave the office. They were both empathetic when I told them about work and having to put school on hold because of work. My dad said he knew the sensation of being trapped in a job. Doing the online classes was my escape hatch but I don't even have that right now...

I guess I should do the other online video before lunch...

Hello @isayuncle. Happy Thanksgiving late. I have been so busy trying to get ahead of the holiday rush. I had surgery on Wednesday and another in a few weeks, so now I'm forced to get rest. Thanks for the encouragement every week 🙏

That's ok, we can enjoy some holiday leftovers together. yum 🍗🍲🌽.

I'm sorry about your surguries but i hope they are making things better for you. AND especially right here at the holidays. 😕. Awww ☹️. But.... you'll be up and going in the right direction for the new year.😊.

The holiday rush is bad enough, without the added burden. I hope you're staying strong and can enjoy the holiday season in different ways,

Some people play santa, but i play ostrich.... stick my head in the sand and let it pass 🤣😁 (mostly, when i can) 🎄

I hear you @isayuncle . Holidays can be a lot! Sometimes it is nice being far from extended family at this time of year.

This surgery went well, and I am supposed to be able to breathe better now. I'm glad it is over so far so good 😊 One day at a time.
