I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are can be harder than what we first think. That's OK, You can do it. It's normal. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.

@IsayUncle my goal lately seems to be just to survive. Was able to transfer $18 to one of my debit cards and I went to a gas station to get money back so I could take the bus. I knew prices were higher at a gas station but it ended up being $17! I got a couple cans of coffee and a protein lunch box since I had absolutely nothing to eat for today. That must have been more expensive than I anticipated. I was going to go to the store after work today to get one or two items and more money for the bus but I don't know if I will be able to.

No notification about winning anything which I never expect because my luck is absolutely horrible. I mean, I've never had any breaks before so why should things change now? Everything I do is either wrong or not enough or something. I suppose it's also wrong of me to want to go through life without having to constantly worry about the cost of everything.

Oh yeah. This morning, I found out that the stop near the gas station is technically closed because the street is down to one lane. Either I walk half a mile down to the stop before the one near me (which is the only stop that I thought was open before my cross street where I take the other bus because the other two have been blocked off for months) or I walk the mile up to the cross street where I wait for my second bus. I'm thinking that may be the better choice because I don't know when the first bust approximately gets to the stop before me and there's no guarantee that one won't be closed off soon. Of course, if I had the money for a morotized bike or something, none of this would matter.

But that would mean that something good would happen in my life and that notion is preposterous.

@Enthenia

Surviving is good for now, until you are able to master all the good things that are flying past you uneen.

@IsayUncle I'm not too sure about that. Today, I got lectured about touching the filters on a report that I'm pretty sure I didn't. But that's what happened to me back in January. The only thing I did was apply a filter to a column where we enter in dates for the background reports. I filtered it to the blank lines to make it easier for me to enter the dates in since I do all of the reports at once. It's easier than switching back and forth. But when I came back from my eye appointment, 70 names had been missed. Half of the names I'd never seen before and I tried to explain that but it was still my fault. Last month, I noticed some filters were on the deposit amounts but amounts excluded fit within the range. Not wanting a repeat of January, I removed them then found out that was a wrong decision.

The reports came out this month (well they're actually last month since we're always a month behind) but if there are names missing from them, it'll naturally be my fault whether or not it actually is my fault.

I am so tired of this environment but it seems like I'm trapped here.

@IsayUncle at least today I guess I made the right choice by walking up to the cross street. I went to the drugstore near the gas station up there because I figured the prices at the drug store would be cheaper than a gas station. It was. With the money back, it came to $12 which was cheaper than the $18 I spent yesterday. And, by the time I left the drug store, the bus I would have caught that would take me to my connection showed up. It was really late.

I did a video survey last night which got me an extra $5. I already had a dollar on that account but couldn't get it until I got $4 more. There's a minimum balance that has to be met before you can request funds. It was something I didn't particularly like doing (had to do video interviews back when everything was closed) but it helped me get a little extra. The dog only interrupted me once. She was a little excitable because I got home really late. One bus didn't show and the next one was late. The ironic thing is, was that the street was down to one lane and the bus still dropped people off. I can see why five in the morning, it's not such a big deal because there was less traffic but not five p.m. I'm glad they stopped at the stop near my residence though. I was already delayed and I didn't want to be delayed more.

Still need groceries but I don't know if I'll be able to get to the store today or not. I don't have much money and I don't know if the bus will be really late again. Wish I had the money to pay rent today but I don't. Actually, I wish I had the money to pay everyone today. That would erase most of my financial worries.

So I found a way to hopefully negate the filtering issue. I should have thought of it before. What I did was to freeze the first row in the spreadsheet. That way, no one can claim that I did anything to it. And, if it's wrong after that, it's not my fault because that row was frozen. Of course, people may still claim that it's my fault.

@IsayUncle well I thought I could get a few things paid this time around (still have to do the rent. Want to pay down some other bills also. Just don't have the money for everything) and I got an email about prospective rate increases on the bus. The month pass is going from $65 to $80 and they want to do away with the fifteen day pass. That's almost a thousand a year for the bus! I don't know if in the long run, it would make sense to get a hybrid bike or something. But those are expensive right off the bat.

Of course, right now I can't even get rent taken care of, let alone all the other bills I have.

@Enthenia

Holy Cow, that's a $.50 increase per day. A 25% increase! That's huge.... increase used to be incemental, like 1 or 2%.... not any more..... go straight for the throat!

Trying to be fair... diesel and gas prices can be blamed but THEY WILL NEVER REDUCE the rate after the fuel prices come back down.

Sorry to hear about the added burden. 😓.

Is it pointless to wish you GOOD DAY!.... I mean, does that thought, stress or frustrate you. 💚. I don't want to be insensitive or cliche. I do wish; you will see something good today, to brighten a moment for you.

@IsayUncle I don't think it really affects me one way or the other. Having a good day, that is. Or not. Yesterday I was going to go to the dog store to get the dog her things but I never got to get away. Today I have to go over for the fingerprints because I forgot to put my ID in my bag yesterday so I couldn't do it yesterday. I guess it's a good thing I couldn't get to the pet store because the new restaurant that they were building in the vacant lot across from the pet store for eons finally opened and traffic was bad. I'm hoping that once the novelty of the place wears off the traffic will go back to normal because i have to pass it every day on my way to the bus stop and I don't need that kind of anxiety after I've had a full day of other stressors.

This morning, I got a notice from one of my accounts about a declined transaction for an amount I don't recognize and for a vender I don't recognize but when I try looking for more information, I can't find anything. I tried using the chatbot but all it does is reference online articles. It doesn't apparently allow you to ask questions. I thought it might be the pet food order since the amount was similar (have to get her her dry food. She's running low) but I shouldn't get charged for that until tomorrow and I normally get an email if the transaction failed and I didn't receive one. It's just odd. This particular account is one I don't use often so I'm not sure how a random person or company would have gotten the information.

Gotta work late this evening, with my goals. If I don't, it'll be another day of too little too late.

I gotta get the balance back on the other side of the scales.

6:05PM: Continue sorting truck and working on jack stands.

User Profile: IsayUncle

Made fair progress on the mechanical stuff.

8:05PM: Do household chores for a head start tomorrow morning.

Hi Enthenia, I hope some good things come your way today. I know you will have plenty of bad things but I hope a few good things pop up so that you can see them clearly. But it's OK if you can't. You just do the best you can. You are A-OK with your fighting spirit.

@IsayUncle I didn't even see this before. Not surprising considering how busy I constantly am. I already sort of did an update elsewhere so I won't do it here.

But I am surprised at how much management does not read replies to which they are copied on. Something I got into trouble for once upon a time. Not including everyone in a reply. My license expires soon as you may remember and I couldn't get it yesterday because I left my ID at home. The HR person in charge of such things inquired about it and tagged a bunch of other people on Tuesday. So I responded to all and let her know that I would get it done on Wed. or Thurs. at the latest because in my foolishness, I thought I could take Friday off (I mean I have over 100 hours to use).  Today I got two emails about it. One from my manager and from my director.

I went to a place on my way back from the fingerprinting shop to get a salad because in my stupidity, I thought I could actually eat something.  Of course not. I'm tempted to cancel my day tomorrow. I'm going to have to force myself not to. But right now, I have to fix some entries on a spreadsheet even though I guess technically I'm at lunch since I punched out....

Doing my dishes yesterday before bedtime, is helping me get started on my paperwork early this morning.

It's Tuesday. If I can get all my office work done, fabricate My Jack stand supports and get my work truck sorted out..... That'll make for a productive day.

But it would be nice if I could do a little bit more also.

4:30AM: Pay bills File receipts.

@IsayUncle Hey bub 😁 Oh I'm busy busy. Trying to get things done and stay ahead of the weather. Did some mowing. Cut up some trees that came down over the winter. Now just need a dry spell to pull them out and up to the sawmill.

Hope your week is going good!

@mytwistedsoul

We've had a real good dry spell for about three weeks. I actually cleared about a 1/4 acre of land made it flat Land and then took all the dirt and built up on the other side of the road for equipment storage. Double doubled my driving space over there. Looking good. I had about 4 hours left when the backhoe broke down again. But just a small problem with a cylinder rebuild.

Oh my goodness. I'm lucky to be around. I did a bad cut on a tree tried to push it over with the backhoe and it fell right on top of me, on top of the backhoe. It would have been a classic Youtube FU. It was coming straight at me and I crawled into the corner of the cab but luckily that backhoe must have like a roller cage on it because it it just bounced off the roof of it and it was a good sized tree too. 😰.

Well, I hope you don't work too hard and you get your yard cleaned up after it dries up. When is your camping trip with Yogi?

1 reply

@IsayUncle Great job! That's awesome and will definitely come in handy! Flat ground is a hot commodity around here 😅

Oh dang man, glad you're alright but that is definitely a scary situation! Good thing it bounced off the roof! They do have things to protect from roll overs and for falling debris. 😰 I've rolled the skid loader a few times trying to push something over. It was a check your shorts moment that's for sure 😅 Be careful out there!

We're heading out Sunday morning. It's about a 5 hour drive to get where we're going. It'll probably take a little longer with having him with but that's ok. We're not really on any timeline. Not sure how long we'll be gone at least a week but depending on weather and how he does maybe a little longer or shorter 😂
