2026 Week #1 - Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 12/29/25 - Sunday 01/28/26)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

WOW!
Are we ready?
(But it's a Biggy) 😀
What personal thing or things would you like to get done or completed in 2026? This may include Materialistic, Physical, Finacial, Social and/or Emotional milestones.
Blurt it out, Write it down here, Make it visible and committable. It doesn't have to be a resolution but it can be if you want it to be. It's more about a "druther" or what you would like to see different by years end. We all have 52 weeks to work in a direction and it would be kind of fun to come back here and look at this list at the end of the year.
🎉✨💥HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!💥🌟🕊️

Let's all, keep Talking, Helping, Doing and Believing!
We can do it, With determination and a little help from our friends. 💖
Hello everyone. I'm going to use this week as a record of things we are going to try to get done this year.
I say "a record", because because during 2026, we can come to this post, anytime through-out the year to remind ourselves what our goals were, how they progressed or changed.
Type: 2026 Week #1 In the search bar, to find this post in the future or contact me and I can find it for you during the year.
LIST ALL THE POSSIBILITIES
(Meager, Humble or Grandiose.... all the same)
NOTE... I'm making a big deal about what we're gonna do this year but that is not, the most important thing.
The most important thing, to do this year, is the best that you can do, for one day, or for one hour of that day. Sometimes it's very hard just to get through the day, so I just want to put a reminder out there, that's the most important thing, and for everyone, to be proud of that.
@reservedOwl321

I just remembered something.... To put you on the tag list.
I am going to clean that up a bit next week and I'll pop you in there.
I hope you have a wonderful day!
@IsayUncle 😊 THANK YOU! What is your plan for the year?
@reservedOwl321
I have so much going on, I am really gonna have to focus and sort and tic tac toe my way through it.
I read your post down below and believe it or not, the three things you listed are pretty much the same idea that I'm shooting for.
Stronger family, Improving my job, And physical therapies to try to get in better shape. I'm dreading the commitment to healthier eating but that is going to have to be a must this year. I did it a couple years ago and I really did well, But stressful comfort eating has Dominated this year as I slowly watched the deterioration of the year of my previous progress
I have no idea what my aspirations for next year should be. I'm just trying to get to the end of this year without any major mishaps.
@Enthenia
I think that's perfect. Most of the time that's the best that we can do and I think that's a pretty good approach. Wishing you the best.
@IsayUncle thanks. Right now I'm waiting for my optometrist's office to open up so I can make an appointment. Then I guess I'll see where I go from there.
So I had to schedule an appointment with a DO. My optometrist didn't handle such things. The appointment is tomorrow. They'll have to dilate my eyes. Haven't had that done in a long time. I opted for the image scanning when my optometrist started offering it. Would rather pay extra than deal with blurred vision but I guess it can't be helped this time. I'll find out how bad it is tomorrow.
And, to make things fun, my retirement withdrawal request was denied because apparently I'm still working at the job I haven't been at for five years. I called the retirement company and they're going to look into it and figure out what happened but that can take another week. I really wanted to get rent settled by the end of this week. I still have to put my response in with the court. That's another $75 and I need to get the dog food because she's completely out. And I didn't get groceries last week because I couldn't. My mom sent some money over because they didn't want me taking the bus back after I get my eyes looked at but I might have to. Would have been nice to have gotten an email about the weekly cash drawing one of my financial apps does but I didn't. That would have eased the stress a bit.
I probably shouldn't be stressing and putting more strain on this eye...
At least I'm caught up at work for once. Wish other things would work out favorably.
@Enthenia
That's good that you got your appointment set up. Good job. 🙂.
I believe in all the time that we've been talking, that's the first time I heard you say that your work load was caught up. That brought me a big smile And a sense of warmth for you. Congratulations.
Really sorry about all the other bummer stuff Going on with the money and the dog food groceries and stuff like that. I hope it works out for you.. You're probably right about it not being a good idea stressing on it, I haven't thought about it but that could mess up your eyes a little bit I guess. So try not to stress too much on it and I also hope you get good news from your eye examination.
@IsayUncle well taking yesterday off was a mistake. $300 gone nothing wrong and now I have things at work that should have been done three days ago so I have to work on my off time as fast as I can to get it done. I checked like four times to make sure I had everything and things still aren't there. Got people who came into the office mad at me. I flipping hate my life.
@Enthenia
why $300 gone? (daily wages?)
We should be able to take time off without torpedoing our plans. I'm sorry it messed you up
I'm getting totally messed up cause I got some time off with no jobs and no money but at the same time I'm not doing anything productive to make sure that I'll be okay next month. i'm just plain stupid and lazy I guess. Today I'm doing a little bit better.
Hang in there. Me too. Again, I'm really sorry you had a negative impact just for taking a day off. I just ain't right. 😞
@IsayUncle The specialist wanted $200 up front and I spent like $100 on rides from the ophthamologist to the retina specialist and then back home. It was on the other side of town and it would have taken too long by bus plus my eyes were dilated.
Never really got to eat.
And the supervisor that told me about all the things that I should have done yesterday had I not taken the day of said all of it should have been done last week but I didn't know about any of this until this morning when I got on my computer to check grocery ads and to file my statement with the court (which I still need to do).
But my fault naturally. It always is.
Happy New Year @isayuncle ! I don't know my plans for this year yet, I'm actually working on them right now. I think I overthink the goal setting stuff.
I know I would like to build up my business. I'll be excited to land my first customer, but overjoyed if I can get to five customers by the end of the year.
I would like to improve my relationship with my family and make a few good new friends.
I would like to continue exercising focusing on cardio and abs daily.
I think those will be my main goals, but I still need to break them down and I would like to try to come up with some better long-term goals.
@reservedOwl321
Thanks, Happy New Year to you too. I think these are good things to work on throughout the year because they can just keep getting a little bit better and maybe help us keep it between the rails as we go through the year. 😁.
So, about picture organization. The most confusing part I think, is what rabbit hole do you go down for categories. How detailed do you get? He had one file for nature and one for snow and one for rain and one for frogs and on and on and on? Well how about family for sisters brothers events? How many folders can you keep track of.... ? vacations holidays colors and around we go. I think i can simplify.
SO.... I kind of reverse engineered it. It starts with a place as a photo dump. And that is just to unload your camera. My bare minimum file requirement is to put all the pictures In a folder labeled in this dated format.
260101 - 260319. So if I started taking pictures January first of 2026 And I did not unload them for a couple months but then decided to unload them in March 19th 2026. That folder file would look like this 260101 - 260319 My Next batch may start on 260320 or I just may add more pictures to this folder and change the folder name to the end date of the last picture which I discuss down below about May 15th.
I would label that folder as above: year (26) Month (01) Day (01) 260101 Then i would see what the last date was on the last picture and end the folder with that date.. (Of course, camera should be dated properly) If not, you manage with guessing a little bit.
Remember this Is the bare minimum but it really gives you some advantages because, if you're looking for a picture you might be able to remember about when you took the picture maybe about what month you took it or if it was a celebration when the birthday was and Etcetera.
Also doing it like this, You can add pictures to this folder and then just change the end date to the new end date like instead of.... 260101 - 260319, it could be 260101 - 260515, because you added some more pictures on May 15th. or start a new folder, keeping things seperated nicely for easier looking later on.
Now there are more rules and if you like the way I'm going with this I'll share some more along the way because of course now we can talk about adding more folders but before we talk about that, remember that this is your primary photo dump and so when you take pictures from here and you copy and paste them into another folder you want to add "C" to the copied pictures filename, keeping the same file name, but with a "C"..... so when you are done with your project, you can delete all the pictures you used, labeled with the "C" because you still have the originals.
That is probably a lot to take in at one sitting, but that dating format will be used throughout your entire tree of photographic files.
Would you like me to explain the continuation of this system. I'd be glad to. I like doing it this way because it puts dates to categories and that really helps when trying to go back and look for pictures. And reverse doing it this way..... you can file big groups of picures all at once (with some sense of order), until you have time to fine sort.
Thank you @isayuncle ! I wrote a response on my phone, but it did not want to go through. I appreciate you letting me know how you organized pictures!
@reservedOwl321
You're welcome. That single step helps a lot becuse that paticular date format keeps picture dumps in chronological order which is different than dated format files on different camers and phone and videos. That dated format unifies everything into the same chronological order, easy to follow for months and years. I hope it helps.
@IsayUncle Before this week ends and the new one starts I wanted to update you. I figured out how to do what I was trying to do. I think photo organization is much different on IPhone vs. android versus pc or Mac and all. I feel like such a Noob… I just was trying to label my photos and go through them to delete duplicates or accidental pictures of my thumb or something. Like anything it takes a little extra effort/time to do this. I did this in the car this weekend and figured out how to label on my phone so I will remember what the pictures were of later on. I just need to be more proactive with it. Just wanted to update you that I think I got it figured out as I don’t use the PC as much, but I appreciate you sharing what you learned with your photo organization, and I’m glad you had that experience. Hoping this helped others as well as I am sure I am not the only one who struggles with this. Thank again and have a great evening. I’ll see you “next week” 😄
@reservedOwl321
That's great. I didn't even think about all the different platforms. I don't do "anything" on my phone or even a pad. I'M all PC..... so that was a real good point and insight. Glad you shared it. And glad you figured it out too. 👍
Also, I Put a "C" in the file name for copied pictures, from my stock folder(s) to my project folder. Reminder no need to save them again after a project is done.
Exploring healthy options, Targeted towards energy and endurance.
High-energy foods provide essential fuel through a combination of complex carbohydrates for sustained release, healthy fats for long-term endurance, and proteins for recovery.
Greens and Vegetables
Leafy Greens: Spinach, kale, Swiss chard, and collard greens are high in magnesium and iron, which help fight fatigue and support muscle function.
Cruciferous Vegetables: Broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts provide fiber and antioxidants that stabilize blood sugar and combat inflammation.
Sweet Potatoes: These are rich in complex carbohydrates and biotin, providing a steady source of energy rather than a quick spike.
Green Peas: A starchy vegetable packed with both protein and fiber for long-lasting energy.
Beets: High in nitrates, beets can improve circulation and boost physical endurance during activity.
Corn: A complex carbohydrate that provides sustained fuel and essential minerals.
Other High-Energy Options
Nuts and Seeds: Almonds, walnuts, chia seeds, and pumpkin seeds are calorie-dense and provide healthy fats, protein, and minerals like zinc and magnesium.
Whole Grains: Oatmeal, brown rice, and quinoa are staples for "carb-loading" and maintaining glycogen stores.
Lean Proteins: Eggs, Greek yogurt, chicken, and lean beef provide the B vitamins and amino acids necessary for energy metabolism.
Fatty Fish: Salmon and sardines are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which reduce inflammation and support heart health.
Fruits: Bananas (often called nature’s energy bar), berries, and citrus fruits offer immediate energy through natural sugars and vitamin C.
Healthy Fats: Avocados and olive oil provide concentrated energy and help with the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.
Dark Chocolate: Contains polyphenols that may improve blood flow and alertness.
What are some simple meal and snack ideas using these high-energy foods?
Combining high-energy greens and vegetables with proteins and healthy fats into simple meals ensures sustained vitality throughout the day.
Simple Meal Ideas
Green Goodness Bowls: Create a "Power Bowl" by layering a base of quinoa or brown rice with roasted sweet potato wedges, sautéed garlic kale, and steamed broccoli. Top with a soft-boiled egg, sliced avocado, and a sprinkle of toasted pumpkin seeds for added crunch and healthy fats.
Stuffed Sweet Potatoes: Roast a whole sweet potato and stuff it with a mix of black beans, corn, and spinach. Drizzle with a lemon-tahini dressing or top with a dollop of Greek yogurt for a fiber-rich, high-energy dinner.
Sheet-Pan Salmon & Greens: Bake salmon fillets alongside broccoli florets and thinly sliced beets seasoned with olive oil and herbs. This "cook once, eat thrice" strategy works well for meal prepping protein-packed lunches.
Broccoli & Feta Fritters: Mix finely chopped broccoli, eggs, almond flour, and crumbled feta into small patties and pan-fry until golden. Serve these with a side of mixed leafy greens for a light but energizing lunch.
Quick Energy Snacks
Veggie Dips: Pair sliced cucumbers, bell peppers, or carrot sticks with hummus or a roasted beet dip for a refreshing protein and fiber boost.
Homemade Energy Balls: Blend dates, almond butter, chia seeds, and oats with a touch of dark chocolate or even grated carrots to create "energy bites" that are easy to store in the fridge.
Nutty Fruit Slices: Top apple or pear slices with almond butter and a sprinkle of hemp seeds or crushed walnuts.
Savory Lettuce Wraps: Use large romaine or collard green leaves as wraps for turkey slices, mashed avocado, and sprouts.
Roasted Chickpea Trail Mix: Combine oven-roasted chickpeas and edamame with pumpkin seeds and a few pieces of dark chocolate for a salty-sweet snack that stabilizes blood sugar.
- I have a lot of things that I want to do in 2026 And it's only logical and pure common sense that my physical and mental state of mind are the most important tools for me to achieve something relatively worthwhile to me.
- Believe it or not, the year of 2026 Has 53 weeks in it. That gives me an extra week above the average year.
- My eating habits and weight Logistics will definitely affect my success rate towards my accomplishments. I may not become a superhero but I will try to do a little better this year than I did last year.
This is a really great list! I plan to come back and read it again because you have some good ideas for healthy foods to eat. That is also really troublesome for me. I tend to do a lot better with the exercising than the eating.
@reservedOwl321
Absolutely.... Very Wordy and nothing new, not really. I'm just trying to keep it in "MY" face, if that makes any sense.
And if it helps you too.... Double Awesome!
I think I'm going to be very strong on Routine and Health this year. I'm gonna try to break the ceiling and probably post a lot of it here For accountability, understanding and also sharing.
Maybe I'm just having a manic moment.... But that's okay, gotta take it any way it comes. 😁.
I really haven't done very well with getting all my stuff done this week. I'm still eating comfort foods and I am perpetually tired. I do a little bit and then I have to sleep. And for some reason, I hit this brick wall because of a couple of stupid chores that can be done in a short period of time... And I put them off all afternoon long... I don't get it. But I will beat it through routine, being P'd off, determination and healthy foods! 😠The louder I shout it, maybe the truer it'll be. 😤
A BIG OOPS.... WITH THE TITLE!
WEEK #1 IS 12/29/25 - 01/04/26. (NOT 01/28/26)
Oooops, sorry about that.😳😅no sweat.
MY DETERMINED EFFORT FOR DAILY MAINTENANCE

IMPORTANT NOTE: The time designations are what I wish for, BUT...
Often it takes many hours of the day to get these done.
----I do not specify the actual time frame, just completion----
(It is progress, so I continue trying)
December 31 2025 (Preparing to start 2026)
2025, overall, was a productive year. Perhaps, "productive" is
overstating it. It was a good maintenance year. I had not fallen into any
permanent abysses of hopelessness and dismay. Although I had many instances of
doubts, insecurities and lack of progress, including many failures, I was able
to persevere to a new start, to a new year. I am sad to say that at the end of
yesterday, I still find myself struggling with the same demons that I struggled
with for years. The difference is, 7 Cups has given me a space to vent, share,
interact and more importantly hold myself accountable and to task.
