I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

RESET

I’m doing a major reset this week. Coincidently @AshleyNFlewellenLPC also had a post about Resetting on Sunday. I included the link below, if you’d like to view the thread.

https://www.7cups.com/forum/therapy/General_2432/SundayReset_382523/

My reset is a little bit more serious than a reset Sunday, but the above is a wonderful directive to resetting at least one day a week. I have been pushed and shoved away from my routine for about two months now. And my Sundays have fallen into the quagmire.

My reset is an purposeful, early morning routine that has been effective in the past to propel me into a productive day

My reset is a major regroup to regain my balance. I have gotten to a place where I have corralled most of my obstacles and it is a good time for me to reset, while the getting is good. I know this timing won’t last but resetting is important.

I find it interesting, or maybe intriguing, perhaps curious about the phenomena of finding a system that works to maintain a balance but how quickly it dissipates for reasons of monotony discipline and outside forces.

Whatever the reason is that we fall off the horse, sometimes it’s important to recognize that we have fallen off the horse and we’re chasing it around the track. It’s time to stop and offer the horse some treats. Slow everything down Get back up on the saddle.

Start the ride all over again. It’s not a bad approach for ongoing growth.

NOTE: I searched “Reset” in the 7 Cups forum search bar, and it came up with 294 results for threads about resetting. If the timing is right, find a reset that works for you.

We are into WEEK #22 for 2026, which is almost ½ way through the year and many of us had goals and plans for this year. It’s common and easy to get off track. Rethink, Regroup, Reset

@IsayUncle I think the water leak had me do all of those things. Regroup, rethink, reset. I also need to recover which will take some time. I also forgot that I had a comment box up and it's been a few hours since I started. If I had intended to say anything else, I've forgotten it.

So I looked up one of the series that got water damaged. I have volume 13 which did not get damaged. To buy 1-12, again would be about $120. Others on the shelf I don't think can be replaced. At least, not at a price I'd be willing to pay. Not paying over a hundred for a single paperback book.

Sorry. I haven't gotten my Internet switched over so things load slower than what I'm used to. The insurance wants proof of purchase and the claim was already denied so that's that. Trying to get as much as I can out of there because the carpet people are coming tomorrow. I'm  just trying to get the carpets clear. I've probably done permanent damage toy arms and legs with all this back and forth but I had no one else to rely on.

And the complex is run by a company. They don't care about people. They just want small expenses and lots of profits

Oh and they were Japanese graphic novels (in English). I can replace the other ones eventually. Exhausted now. Ordered some large boxes and tape to try and get more things moved over. Boxes came but the tape didn't. We went over there twice I think. Dog found some of her chews she had "lost". Got nearly everything shifted in the living room and bedroom. Moved what I could onto the patio and kitchen. We were there for a couple of hours the second time with no lights or air conditioning. My arms were starting to hurt and now my right leg is hurting which I guess evens out because my left was hurting at work earlier. The good thing about the new place is that the hot water works.

Ten minutes or so has gone by. I need to get up, eat and get in the hot shower because 3:30 will be here soon

Noticed some chest and stomach pain while we were out playing. Waiting to see if it goes away because I really need to get things shifted over. The assistant property manager called wanting to know about the status of the apartment. Told him I was over there last night for at least two hours.

Ended up dozing off at work after I had my small lunch. Took me about an hour to become coherent again. I didn't even know when the girl across from me went home.

But, if I don't manage to get over there tonight, is it my fault? It's like reality forces me to be perfect when I'm not.

Didn't get over there yesterday. Back was also hurting so I lay down after I took the dog out. I had only meant to rest for a few minutes but it was almost eight when I opened my eyes again. I had put a pillow under me and I guess that helped because I didn't have the chest pain. That could have been from the wind outside though because I had it a bit this morningl. Had to change my shirt this morning because it was too light.

Still feeling tired but I have work to finish both here and elsewhere.

Talked to the lawyer. Basically said "physician, heal thyself". To prove negligence, the cost would be much greater than what he thought the issue was worth.

So again, I'm stuck with doing the impossible on my own. Who cares if I'm in pain or I can't lift or carry things? Just get it done.

Seriously, is this state known as existence really worth all this?

@Enthenia I'm sorry to hear about the water damage and that your books got damaged. And that you can't get any accountability from the apartments.

Maybe it sounds strange but I care that you're in pain and don't have any help to move things. I wish there was something we could do to help

@mytwistedsoul thank you. Took some trash out of the old place and moved two more wagon loads last night. Still have quite a bit to shift and clean. Also noticed that I'm running out of food and I have $4 left from what coworkers gave me a week or so ago and maybe $10 from doing surveys and games. Will need to find someone that can haul the things I can't take with me away. And, I had barely any sleep again last night. One of the new neighbors left their dog on the patio and it was barking off and on throughout the night which made my dog bark.

Still sleeping on the hard floor and that doesn't help with muscle pain either. I don't know how some cultures can do sleeping on the floor as a normal part of their routine. Also getting calls from bill collectors (still) and that doesn't help ease the stress. Of course, finding that nothing I seem to do is right or enough doesn't help.

One gets no points for trying.

Apartment office called today. I'm takubg too long to get things out. Most people can get things out in a few days. Of course, they have help and probably had things planned. I have until Monday to get it all cleaned up or they'll toss what's left and charge me for storage or something like that. Yet another thing to worry about.

If I've ever had a point in my life without tribulations, I've forgotten it.

@Enthenia Wow that's just ridiculous. I realize they want to get in and do work and fix things but holy moly they could offer some assistance. I know people don't do that sort of thing usually without some sort of payment but as one person you can only do so much. And when you're dealing with pain it's even worse. It's really hard not having people to call on for help when it's needed. It's good they gave you until Monday though and hopefully you can get the things out you need to get.

I know I wouldn't be able to sleep on a bare floor either.
It's not much, but I'm sending you light and love and lots of good vibes that things work out for you and that one day soon things get better for you 💜

@mytwistedsoul well I left my brother a message. Not sure if he can do anything. Forgot that I had this open, actually. I tried calling a donation center that does pick-ups. I thought I could at least donate the kitchen things and books that I have no need for but they're booked until 6/15. There's a thrift store operated by a different charity closer (the other one said I could drop items off at theirs but getting there is the problem) to me but transporting the items over there would be the problem. It would have to be on a weekend and while it's not far, getting to the store by bus on a weekend would be hard. Also, I could only take so much on a bus. And I couldn't do anything heavy since my back and arm have still been hurting.

I am getting worn out from life's expectations I guess. What I'm dealing with now was not my fault yet I'm expected to do the impossible. Get a space I've been in for 10+ years moved out on a moment's notice on my own, coordinate everything on a moment's notice (pack, donate, move, etc) and be able to finance it. If I had unlimited funds, I would probably be in another state by now.

@Enthenia Hopefully your brother can help in some way. It's a shame that one of the thrift places couldn't squeeze you in for picking up what you wanted to donate. I totally understand that the bus wouldn't be the way to go. Maybe small things but then they would have to be carried and that could get heavy really quick. Plus it would be a lot of back and forth 😕

It's a lot that you're dealing with and their expectations are just too much. The fact that it isn't your fault but theirs for the leaky pipes - they could at least offer you some help, even if it was just for the big stuff.
Boy I hear you there. If I had unlimited funds I would be somewhere else too. A different state with acres and acres of land. Maybe turn it into some kind of animal sanctuary.

@mytwistedsoul There are those ride sharing services but they cost. I'm currently trying to get my survey account to as close to $20 as possible so I can get grocery items. Skipped lunch for the past few days because I've had nothing to take and no money to get anything with. Would have it if I hadn't spent $45 on an unneeded legal consultaion but hindsight is always 20/20. Actually, I have a bag of chickpea puffs and one protein bar with me today. That will have to do.

Probably  not good for my health but I don't have much choice. Also dealing with little sleep again. The dog saw something on the other side of the patio at one-thirty this morning and went for it. Shook the patio door and she was barking. Have no idea what it was and she was whining like she wanted to be let out but I wasn't going to do it. She eventually calmed down and I was able to get back to sleep before the alarm went off at 3:30.

Um, one good things about going through all the stuff was that I found a storage tub of clothes that I haven't worn in over 10 years. Too big for them. Casual shirts. Can wear them now. Can't wear them that much but I have more clothes than I had before. I got a few more things moved over last night and practically cleaned out the hall closet. Also got some books off the remaining shelf in the bedroom. Well the shelf that wasn't water damaged. I could put that out on the patio if I can figure out a way to transport it. It's metal but I don't know if it will stay in the wagon or not. Also want to keep the wooden shelf that was in the bedroom. Not sure if the corner shelf will make the trip. Found out a leg was loose when I moved it. Could probably use glue to repair it but that's yet another expense. I have a shopping list of things I should get online (think I meantioned that already) and it's a lot. No possible way I can get everything in one sitting. Not when I'm trying to get money just to eat.

My dog would probably like your sanctuary if it had rabbits. I think she'd like to chase rabbits. Or sheep. She could put them in their place. She couldn't herd rabbits. Be like corraling cats.

Ran into my old neighbor and his dogs this morning. He offered to help move the shelves. Wasn't happy with how they treated me but there nothing to be done. Going to eat then go and shift more things.

@Enthenia Oh I've heard of ride share. I don't think we have anything like that here though. I wish you didn't have to skip lunch. It doesn't help that everything costs more at the grocery store. I've probably asked this before but are there any food banks or church pantries you could get a few things from? There's even a few that are online and they'll deliver. It might be something to look into. I can understand if it's something you'd rather not do or if it's not available in your area

I hope you're able to get a decent night's sleep soon. I wonder what she saw? Some wild animal maybe. That's a heck of a way to be woken up!

Oh wow that's a nice find! Extra clothes are always nice to have. I have a bad habit of not getting rid of clothes when they're ripped up because in my mind something is better than nothing, even if they are torn.

She would definitely like running around here! There's a few rabbits and squirrels are everywhere. She could herd the chickens!

I'm so glad your neighbor is able to help you move the shelves! The fact that he's unhappy with how the management is treating you is validating.

I hope you have a very productive day and are able to get the things done that you need to. (hopefully without over doing it) 💜

@mytwistedsoul well it wasn't as productive as I'd hoped. Fell asleep a couple of times during the day. Probably from not eating and I haven't had a full night's sleep since it happened. Moved twice but there's still a lot and no time left. I'll try to do what I can and then see ify neighbor can help move shelves and some suitcases tomorrow.

Met the new neighbors. They're elderly and I carried their bags up the stairs. Hurt my legs a bit going up but I was in better condition than they were. Still trying to get extra money for groceries. Running out of stuff again.

There are places that do delivery but it's easier to go in and get what I need since many things seem to be specialized. I tried the *** cart back when everything was shut down because of COVID but it didn't go well.

Neighbor helped moved some things. Ended up being over there for a couple of hours. Was a struggle to do more. Chest was hurting probably because of no air conditioning and the smell. Still have a lot of clean-up to do. A shelf I wanted to bring over broke a couple of the legs. Was hoping that my brother could maybe help with the clear out but nothing.

Haven't really eaten anything today. Had the last of the bacon with some eggs this morning. I do have some chicken to cook but really nothing else.

And I'll have to go back to the other place in about an hour to finish the shifting and moving what I can to the trash. I know I will have to make two trips with the wagon. Probably will not get much sleep tonight either.

An ironic thing is, I did a survey about compassion and community resources today. Where I live it seems compassion is only there when it seems to benefit certain people.

This is why I don't expect good things in my life....

@Enthenia

You're going through an extremely hard time with this entire water damage thing. Lots of bad things happen and it ain't no wonder that you cannot Grasp Anything good right now. I do understand that completely but before long, that old apartment will be in the past, but right now it's tough and I'm really sorry you're going through it.

Awww, that's ok not to expect good things to happen, but recognizing them when they do, is important.

Example: You have two suitcases... one filled with the feelings that brother did not help. The other filled with neighbor that did help. Which suitcase will you carry with you most of the time.

The suitcase where a good thing happened or the suitcase where a good thing did not happen.

Just saying..... the reality of not expecting good things to happen, is really a good approach because you do not expect others to do for you. And you have become stronger and stronger every year. It does natter though, not seeing good things when they do happen,,,, It's  a good balancing approach to see them.

I hope you can forgive my preaching. But I find you to be a very strong willed, and determined person. And I think you should be paid in kind throughout the days. Be paid with the thoughts of, "Hey this was a good thing". Or at least get paid with the feeling good things, when they do happen. You deserve those payments of the little good things when they do happen. They're  important. They are little, but very important. Kind of like a penny saved is a penny earned, (meaning they will add up).

I hope next week find you cleared of all the big stuff of this messy apartment situation. I know, a fresh start with new problems, but it is a fresh start and good things can happen. Stay strong. 💖

@IsayUncle well I was over there until midnight. Tried to load up the boxes of stuff I was going to donate. I had a lot of my mom's stuff there. More than I realized.

First, I got the back brace becaise I thought I should use it. I was going to move the rest of the storage tubs, load up the donation boxes and take some of the trash out. But it was after eleven when I got to where I could test the donation boxes and that was after having an altercation with another dog owner. A small dog was out while we were bringing another wagonfull to the new apartment. Mine wanted to say hi but the dog started barking at her. She gets agitated when dogs bark at her (especially the little ones) and I kept an eye on her when we got back to the apartment. I let her off her leash and I was trying to bring the wagon in and she slipped out. Called for her and she ran past me and I got her leash and went over to where the owner of the other dog was yelling.

She was upset and said my dog attacked hers. I apologized and tried to get mine which took some time. I don't think it was an actual attack because she isn't aggressive. She just doesn't like when smaller dogs bark at her. She'll snap at them and get in their face like a drill sargeant (for the lack of a better reference) but she doesn't actually attack. Finally got the leash on her and got her home. She lay down to rest from all the excitement and I sat for a bit too. My heart was racing from the incident and anxiety. I wasn't mad at her. It was my fault for letting her off the leash when I did.

Everything that's happened is technically my fault. The mess in the apartment wouldn't be as bad if I had gone through things before or said no to begin with. My fault for not having a vehicle and my fault for not being able to withstand the environment in the old place as well as not being able to lift what I should have been able to lift. And, ultimately my fault for not having funds available at a moment's notice to take care of all this.

Because of the mess that's still there, I'll probably have to pay an additional fee. Neighbors in the old area were empathetic which didn't really help but it's free and gives the illusion of caring which I suppose is why they did it. Expressing concern requires little effort, makes the person doing the expression feel better and if the recipient of the concern is dense or only taking it at surface value, they feel better as well.

But maybe that's just me being cynical due to an hour's sleep or lack of food or being chilled because of lack of sleep. However, that's my fault too for not being able to take it.

@Enthenia I have to disagree. This isn't your fault. You didn't make the pipe break or cause a water leak. That was unfortunate and time wears things out. You shouldn't have to live in wet conditions and with the wet comes the possiblity of mold growing which can cause health problems.

It's hard finding the time to go through things, it's hard for seeing the need to or that we might have to at a moments notice. It's hard saying no sometimes. Because it feels good to help someone out, it feels good to be needed, even if it is for something simple like keeping a few things for them.
Under normal situations you don't really need a car, right? Cars are (omg) expensive. Gas is crazy prices right now. Then there's insurance and maintenance. Inspections. And if there's something wrong? Holy moly it doesn't take much before the cost is ridiculous. Tbh I wish I didn't need a vehicle as much as I do.
Dogs are dogs. Furry little children that sometimes do things they shouldn't. Sounds like the other person was a bit of a Karen and made more out of it than was necessary. Had her dog not been barking it might have been different. Should your pup have run out the door, of course not but it happened and you apologized. That's about all you can do because it just happens...
You can't help that you have physical limitations either. And some things you have to move would need an extra set of hands. You are doing the best you can with all of this. I think that anyone in your situation would have trouble dealing with it all on their own. Instead of charging you extra for any mess still there, they should give you a break because it caused you more inconvenience than it did them.

It's nice that they were empathetic but you're right that doesn't really help. They could have grabbed a few things to help. It's disappointing that they didn't.
You shouldn't have to just take it. 😞 You deserve a break.

I know it doesn't help but I'm sending you more light and love because it's all I can do. 💜

@mytwistedsoul I was reading about dog behavior and while you are right about her running out the door (which she shouldn't have done), it was a defensive measure. The snapping. It's a final means of communication before biting and she doesn't bite. She does nip when she's overexcited but that's just how her breed is. She does fine with dogs who come upon her calm. She was actually on her way to say hi when the dog started barking at her (that was when I had her on the leash) and that's what got mine agitated. I do pay attention to her signals. There are a couple of big (and slightly aggressive) dogs that she gets upset with and I have to put distance between us and them when we're walking. And huskies. She barks at huskies for some reason. At least the full-sized ones. There's a miniature one that she's fine with.

As for the other things, I know. But, it doesn't matter what our perception is. It's the perception of others that matter. No, I shouldn't have to eat the cost for everything but as I learned, regular people have little say in things. It took me a while to find the lawyer that I did because the other ones only dealt with evictions or they were for the landlords. And the one I found wasn't helpful at all as I discovered. No, I shouldn't have had to be in a damp environment for a week and all the other things I had to deal with but I can't fight city hall. Millionairs can but not me. If I could, I wouldn't have gone through what I went through.

But that's speculation and doesn't really help anything. I just have to deal with it like always.

I think the bit about deserving a break is a fast food catch phrase. I don't eat fast food (because it really isn't healthy for me. Not really for anyone) so I don't think I deserve any break. And, I stopped quite a long time ago to expect any reversals to my luck. I know this existence we all go through isn't karmatic but it also isn't in our favor or out of our favor. Again, it's all about perception and sometimes, the perception of others hold much more weight than our own.

For me, it seems to be a normal state of affairs.

@IsayUncle Sorry I've been MIA again.

I need to do this too. Rethink, Regroup, Reset. I've fallen behind with things here and I'm still trying to catch the horse 😅 The weather hasn't been cooperating and and the neighbor guy is having some procedure done today and a bigger one on Monday. I didn't need to do anything for them today but I will keep my phone handy in case his wife calls

I think it's great that you recognized that you've lost your "balance" and are trying to regain it. I know I don't often notice things are off until it's way off and I'm standing there holding the bridle of the runaway horse.

@mytwistedsoul (Not MIA, just dealing 😊)

That's really good you're there for your neighbor. It's really good he's not by himself and he's got his wife But they must really appreciate having you there to help when needed. I hope his procedures go well.

I was wondering if you minded when I openly speak of subjects that we talk about within the threads. I feel like that you're OK with it, but just wanted to make sure. (I mean personal stuff repeated or brought up for reference)

A lot of dialog on 7 cups is just of encouragement and kudos but I don't see a lot of deeper discussions because I think people fear exposure too much of their personal feelings in such a large social format. For myself that's why I joined 7CUP was to share my trials and tribulations and have conversations with other people about stuff that they were doing to make it through.

So anyway, blah blah, if I overstep please let me know and I promise not to take any offense and be more sensitve when needed.

Back to the RESET.... I'm not doing well with it this week. Both of us being self employed, i think you may understand how easy it is to get everything muddled togethher and ultimately feeling confuse, overwhelmed.... on some level, impotent(?) unable to process.

You mentioned in the other thread about getting overwhelmed and was wondering if you'd like to share more about that.

Today's friday so, you have a great day and an awesome weekend.

Both of us being self employed, i think you may understand how easy it is to get everything muddled togethher and ultimately feeling confuse, overwhelmed.... on some level, imp**tent(?) unable to process.

You mentioned in the other thread about getting overwhelmed and was wondering if you'd like to share more about that.

Today's friday so, you have a great day and an awesome weekend.

@IsayUncle Oh you got the wonderful something went wrong comment and it posted anyway 😂

His procedure went good and they were able to just do the catheter thing, so he was able to go home afterwards. Monday is the big one at the big hospital with robotics. That one they'll keep him at least overnight. After that they have to tackle the cancer. I don't remember if I told you that part. They found cancer in his lungs and in a lymph node.

I don't mind if you bring things up in reference or anything personal. I used to share more things but somewhere along the line I just got quiet about everything. I hope you'll do the same if I overstep or say something I shouldn't have. I won't take offense either.
Yeah there's a lot of fluff here. Which is ok but I do like to have deeper conversations.

Yep that's here too. I'm trying to be a good neighbor and help when it's needed but then I get behind on my work and the weather doesn't cooperate because it's been a really wet spring. Between needing to do this thing, that thing and a million other things. Work, outside chores, inside chores and some repairs. .. it was just overwhelming. And sometimes when I'm overwhelmed I freeze up and I end up spinning my wheels. Maybe that's kind of what you're dealing with too?

TGIF my friend. I hope you have an awesome weekend and we both get a great start to next week.

Oh you got the wonderful something went wrong comment and it posted anyway (😒🤣)

I think that’s the first time a flagged post got posted for me. I did figure out a way to post my paragraph, when that happens. Nobody has time to flag every word or look for the problem and a lot of time and thought goes into a paragraph that you don’t want to just throw it away.
I think the word that was jamming up my paragraph was important, without the R. Even though I was talking about emotional importance without the R, It flagged it for other references.

I don’t think you did mention the cancer. (sad and sorowful 😞). I guess it might be time to dig in for a hopeful journey of healing.
It’s hard to be generous with our time when we have so many things on the back of our mind and on the forefront of our minds.
For me sometimes I feel guilty because the time that I’m not doing nothing, because of my shutdown time because I can’t function, I feel like I should be helping someone sometimes.***
I hope they genuinely appreciate your presence when you can be there because that matters a lot.

It does seem like I'm dealing with the same exact scenario as you are. To be relatable, I’m always curious about financial scenarios. From the point of view of it being an asset or a liability.***

Mine is a big part of my battle. I am financially insecure. Almost living day to day but it’s more like month to month. I’m just making it month to month and emergencies and breakdowns keep my time and money crippled, with the power to back me in a corner every month.*** (materialistically, I'm very secure with land and lots of items)... Can always sell to survive.
This makes a huge difference compared to people that don't have nowhere to turn.

The word that flagged my last paragraph, was (ImpoRtance, “without the R”) I’ll refer to it as Imp. When I get overwhelmed I feel imp. I like the word imp because It has an honest sense of embarrassment but it is a very accurate word, Especially talking about emotional imp.***
Emotional imp Is not the same as being powerless. Powerless refers to outside forces that you just don’t seem to have the power to overcome. Emotional imp is more of an internal force, that for one reason or another you can’t get past. ***

So yea, I Continue the battle. It is not a wasted battle because I can see over the years many improvements, but sadly, they don’t stand out like shining beacons. They’re more like little prizes tucked in the corner that I got to remember to look for and appreciate. Those little bits keep me going I think.***
For deeper conversations, I think monies and purpose play BIG roles in a road map, to finally getting there. Wherever “there” is. 🤔

I hope your neighbor does well this week and you also have a good week.

BTW… 2 weeks of rain, knocked me off of my horse too… still chasing it around the corral 😁

@IsayUncle I think it's one of the numerous glitches that pop up here occasionally 😅 That's what I've said! No one has the time to sift through every word trying to figure out which one is causing the problem. I think the censor is a little too much at times too. It's one of the more frustrating things here.

Yeah I feel for him. One problem led to another and another. I have to admit hope can sometimes be a slippery slope for me. But I'm trying to be hopeful for them.

I hear you on the guilt. I feel that way too when I'm shut down or frozen. I get angry with myself too It just makes it worse though.
This is the first year that I'm actually financially secure (at least at the moment.) On paper anyway. Mentally I always worry about money. It seems like every time I get to this point something happens and I end up with a huge bill somewhere. This year it's the roof on the house. Go figure 😅

That's a good point about imp. It is an internal thing. More often than not, I'm the one holding myself back. Internal criticisms and lack of faith and trust in myself. I constantly feel like I should know certain things or have some foresight.

It's definitely not a wasted battle. From the things you've shared nere and there there has been improvements and you're still putting in the effort to get to where you want to be. I know everything takes time but I have to admit I get impatient and tired of waiting.

Omg yes! Purpose is like the compass and money is the engine.

Thank you! I hope he does well too. I got my fingers crossed and all that.

Damned horse! 😂 I'm thinking about just sho*ting it and calling it a day! 😅

LOL... Have you ever heard of or seen the movie, titled "They Sho*t Horses, Don't They?" late 70's about the depression era.

There weren't guidelines for parents to follow for kids back then and my father didn't care anyway. OMG pure suffereing with the expected ending.... just saying.... u brought back a flashback. 🫣 😅

Back to the conversation.
That’s great, you have a foot up $$$$... shhh, not too loud. Knock on wood. But I do understand the fragile balance. I’m close but not here yet and that causes most of my dilemma’s… As is normal and common for almost everyone on the planet….. BUT it is a reality to deal with.
My good fortune is my low debt level and high paycheck when I do get work. Keeps me in the game.

“Purpose is like the compass and money is the engine”.  (That is a great quote!) Determination or persistence is the fuel…. (gas or diesel) 😁

Money is not the root of all evil, and money cannot buy happiness. What money does, Is gives us the ability to make more choices. We can still make good choices and we can still make bad choices regardless of how much money we have. And you see it all the time in the news with these overly wealthy people that still struggling with mental health.

I don’t think having money, inherently makes it easier but it can make it easier with the right choices. And that brings up the point that, with or without money, we still have to make the right choices and deal with the circumstances that we have.

Make do with what we got, and get from what we do.

I agree…. Hope is the last thread of an unraveling tapestry. BUT we need to keep it in the realm of all things unknown. Let’s continue to hope for the best.

You also have a lot of stuff going on that you keep maintaining and improving on, so that’s a good direction. Keep it up.

I can only guess the concern for your neighbor, And the time that you can or cannot invest in it, is a heavyweight on your shoulders.

We have had some pretty rough weather and it doesn't take long For things to get out of control but we can only do what we do and everything will find its own watermark if we let it. We've had some better weather this week.

Do you feel like you are getting back on track a little bit. When I asked about the $$$, It was kind of a lead in to the conversation of what might be getting you overwhelmed.

Believe it or not, for me it's the development of a rat infestation under my house and around my close proximity. An unexpected critical development that I just don't have time to deal with but I am getting so pressurized because they're getting worse...... The stupidest things can shut us down sometimes. 😩.

Anyway, have a great Sunday! 😀

@IsayUncle Omg yes! I did actually knock on wood after I typed it. Life like to throw me curve balls. Which it did over the weekend 😅 The cds (cat distribution system) found me a few years ago. A stray showed up and me being me, I fed the damned thing and he stuck around. His name is Pita (pain in the a**) Anyway he got messed up pretty bad. (Fox, coyote, IDK) Emergency trip to the vets... yeah way too much money spent 😐

You're right. Money can't buy happiness and it does give us more choices. It also eases worries when it comes to bills. I try to make the right choices. I put a lot of thought into things before I spend but sometimes I still make the wrong ones. I've had quite a few sleepless nights because of those wrong choices. It's good you don't have high debt! That helps a lot for sure. But I know it's something that can also change in the blink of an eye if something breaks or blows up. Most of the time it seems to be anything with an engine for me. 😅

It's feeling a little better. I managed to get caught up with work and got the things done I needed to around the house .. (mostly) 😅 there are a few things I still need to do but they're small. Time consuming... yes but easy.

My anxiety is really high today. Between the neighbor (soon heading into surgery) and the cat being injured... I'm trying not to throw up lol

Oh man... rats? Set traps. Lots of traps. You have to be afraid to put poison because of the dogs. Unless you're a good shot with a 22 or even a good BB g*n. Might be cathartic popping the little ***. Traps might take time to get them all but it could make a dent in the population. Here it's squirrels. There's been a population boom this spring. They're everywhere. Not in season right now (of course 😮‍💨) but come September I'm having stew and pot pie 😂

I hope your Monday is off to a good start! Stay awesome! 😎

PITA... 🤣 for the name!  But really sorry about the injuries😟. I can seldom afford a vet but sometimes, we have no choice. Good luck, i hope she heals up soon.

I don't experience anxiety too often, I have in the past and it is horrible. I hope you're Tuesday is less. I've developed a coping mechsnism of just shutting down,,,, brings me to depression, but I side step the anxiety part. Not good either way. 😓, just do your best, to know you can't control those hard situations. Breath and push through, make a good day. 😊

Good job on getting some stuff done. That's a plus.
About my rats.... NO Time to deal with this cra*! But I MUST..... they're really bad! An added daily, serious obligation.

You stay awesome Too! 😀
PS 2nd day of the week = Toolsday... for those unexpected repairs. LOL
