I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are can be harder than what we first think. That's OK, You can do it. It's normal. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.

How about a Power outage? 🤣😁..... But it won't keep you down! 💪

Good morning Amanda, I hope you have a great week.

@Amanda84

I was being a little light hearted and funny about the power outage scenario, but then it dawned on me, We  have our own power with us and can produce our own light in the darkness. And in that manner, nothing can stop us.

So your gif is exactly right. thanks.

@IsayUncle My goal for today is to complete my assignments for this class by the end of today versus later in the week. I am just trying to knock out assignments the moment I see it assigned, so I have time for other things later on. :)

@YourCaringConfidant

That sounds like a real good approach. I hope you were able to stick to it and got your assignments done. That takes a lot of discipline and hard work to try to stay ahead of things like that. But you get the extra bonus of feeling better about it. Instead of trying to play catch up and feeling like you're always behind.

Go get 'em.     image_1787649156.png  image_1787649114.png YOU GOT THIS! ☺️

@IsayUncle I did for the most part, except 2 classes since those teachers didn't post until late last night and the wee hours of this morning. Lol.

My goal this week is to get to the healthy grocery store since I no longer have an appointment on Wednesday. For those who didn't read the thread last week. I found out after I got back from the dentist that my appointment for the specialist needed to be rescheduled and their earliest appointment was in October. Didn't see the point in cancelling the day off as there's really nothing for me to do at the office and I'd be able to get to the grocery store earlier than I'd planned. Would take the dog with me but as she's not offically a service dog, I don't know what the store's reaction would be. The store across the street knows me so we have no problems when we go.

Also, I don't know how she'd react to going on a bus. She's no longer scared by the noises they make but having one pass by and getting on one are two different matters.

I checked my email this morning. No response from the academic coach. I sent her an email explaining everything Thursday. I guess I've been withdrawn from the school. Mixed feelings about that but I guess it comes down to me like everything else and my inability to handle every single thing that comes my way. Like now. Refrigerator is practically empty (freezer is bare aside from ice and ice packs). I had a few bits of strawberry last night which I took from the dog's treat holder. The strawberries were too big so I cut them up a bit and had what wouldn't fit. I fill a penguin with yogurt and top it with fruit. Then it goes into the freezer for her to have when I'm gone at work. I'm sure I didn't sleep well last night because I was more exhausted than usual when I got up this morning. I had the last protein bar I had in the box this morning just so I could get to a rational state of mind again. That might be all I have today unless I do well on the games and surveys.

Love the ads for the game rewards apps. They are deceptive to say the least. They make it sound extremely easy to reach the next tier. It's not. Like one one of them, I have to get to level 400 to get a specified amount. The last level I had to reach to get money was 100. But, what isn't factored in, is that the majority of those levels are either "hard" or "super hard" and it's almost as if they are designed to where you can't effectively beat the levels in a realistic timeline if you don't spend money for either extra lives or items that will help clear the levels faster. I also don't get the apps that claim they do contests for real things. Like one I have. I like the games they have but to earn "diamonds" for the contests, you have to hit certain goals. There's a card matching game where I have to hit level 150 to get the reward. I'm at 40. 110 more levels seems like a lot and it can be, depending on how the game is set up.  Let's say one level takes five minutes. Reasonable but then quantify it by 110 and divide by 60. That's over nine hours spend for anywhere from .50 to a few dollars depending on the game. In a real world situation, would anyone spend nine hours just to get .50? Probably not.

Currently, I'm working on the number multiplying game. I just passed level 70 which was the previous goal. The next one is level 100. At least this one is more realistic and most of the ads are silent. I really don't like the ads. I dislike the ones where I can't mute the sound or the ones that loop six times before you can close the ad. Also the ones where the close button is in an impossible spot so when you try to click it, it takes you to the advertiser's page and it takes three times to actually close the ad to get back to the game. And, depending on who the advertiser was, you may get products on your recommendations based on the fact that you clicked the ad in an attempt to close it.

What also gets me is the advertisements from mobile gaming apps that try really hard to show that they're the best choice out there and fake the amount of positive reviews but then when you look at the actual page, the reviews are actually worse. The fake "win real cash" games do that too. Claim they have a 4.4 star review with over 100K reviews but if you look at the page on the Play Store, it's early access which means there's no way those reviews can be legitimate. Many of the scam games keep the "early access" moniker so people can't see reviews. If it was a legitimate game, the reviews would be published so people could see them.

But, it's almost time for me to clock in so I guess I'd better do that.

Apparently my student loan payments were more behind then I thought. Not to the point of default, thankfully. Scheduled what I could.

Juggling surveys and the game right now. The game link came from the survey site so what I complete in the game adds to the balance I have for doing surveys. With the bonus I got Sunday, I have $13 something right now. I would have had more yesterday but I had to use the $6 that I had gotten on the other app for laundry as I only had $1.35 in my balance and the minimum you can deposit is $5. Each time you withdraw on the app, it asks you what you're going to use the amount for. I told it that I had wanted to get closer to $10 but I really needed to do laundry.

Cold right now but I think it's because I haven't really eaten anything. Currently doing another survey pre-screening. I like some of the qualification ranges. If I had $100K+ in investible assets, why would I need to do surveys? Same goes for annual income. If I made over a million a year, I don't think I'd be spending time trying to get .25 to $1 on a survey.  Do the people who construct these things even think about that?

In case people were wondering, I earned enough to order something to eat. Couldn't get anything fancy because I only got up to $29 and I had to take in the tip but at least I won't go to sleep hungry like last night.

And my direct deposit should go in tomorrow night so I'll be okay.

Wow, You sure do have a lot going on. I see you're still struggling trying to keep some food in you Tummy and take care of the dog. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope it gets better. I can understand those advertisements for those games can be very deceiving because they just want you to interact with them without really giving you any big paydays, but promising them. That doesn't seem fair. I was surprised here that you didn't go to work one day because there was nothing to do. I'm glad that you took the day off and I'm also glad that it sounds like you're caught up at the work for a minute anyway. A doctor's appointment getting canceled it was a pain in the butt. That was good that you got your $29, Woohoo and hopefully your direct deposit helps you get back on track. Good luck this week Enthenia.

@IsayUncle well originally it was for the eye appointment but since it was cancelled, I have no reason to take the day off. But, there's no point in cancelling the vacation day as I have nothing to do at work right now aside from the training video that I forgot to do yesterday. And, I don't want my manager to do more work by cancelling the request after she approved it. Hopefully my day won't go the way most of my days off go.

I didn't use the full $29. I have $6 left and I think I got points for the delivery. I chose deliveries as my cash back category for the month even though I think this is the first time I've used it this month and the month is nearly over. Maybe I chose a different category because I checked the rewards balance and nothing is showing. Well what I already had is showing but it's not enough to redeem. Starting on some games again. Lost the streak I had on a couple of the platforms because I didn't do much Sunday. I don't get anything extra for keeping a streak anyways.

The credit score went up 22 points! Still in the tank though. Not extremely concerned about it. I have far too many other things to worry about. And, aren't we told that we are so much more than just a number?

Well I guess I have to restart the computer because it just told me, I needed to because of updates.

My goal for myself this week is to hit my walking goal of 10000 steps. I will commit 2/ 30 minute sessions to walking daily. 30 minutes in the afternoon and 30 minutes in the morning or evening. I will log it with my fitbit app. If I miss a session because life happens I will not beat myself up, I will continue the following day and know I am enough.

This shows so much initiative. Giving yourself grace if things go wrong is key, but pushing through the hard moments is where the magic happens. Good Luck! 🙂 I can't wait to see your Fitbit stats at the end of the week! You got this. Remember.... don't beat yourself up, just recover and continue on.

Got to the healthy grocery store!! Found some filet mignon that was marked down. Regular price was $30 something. Got it for $8 something. Only reason I got it. Also found some other things on clearance. Have to go early to get those items. Still ended up spending about $100 though. But, I was really good. Limited myself because I didn't want to carry a lot and things were more expensive than before. They had some new fall coffee flavors (forgot it was almost that time) but I didn't want to spend almost $9 when I can get the normal flavors at another store for $6 if they aren't on sale.

Now I have to take the dog out to play because she really wants to and it's not too hot for her yet.

The pain relief gel that I got with my HSA card arrived yesterday. The bottle was bigger than I thought. Just used a little on my arm and legs last night. I don't think I will need to use it every night like I did with the other products. Also got some joint relief supplements. It says to take four but I've been doing two. I actually didn't wake up in pain so something is working. I also didn't have the cracking and popping in my knees as much as I normally do. Usually have to shift my weight a bit when I'm waiting for the bus in the morning. I've lost a bit of weight because I had to get smaller clothes and there is a bench where I wait but I prefer to stand. The transition from sitting to standing is painful sometimes. I do sit a lot at work so we'll see if I have as much trouble standing since I used the gel on my knees this morning.

Closed my investment account. Noticed that they're now taking out "subscription" fees for my investments. I can invest somewhere else that doesn't charge me micro subcriptions for what I have invested. I also didn't like their push to get people to use their mobile app. I was fine with the website. Mobile applications aren't always the best format out there. I had been thinking about just withdrawing a bit to help with the upcoming rent payment but then I saw little fees being taken out which was new to me. Why should I have to pay a fee for holding stock if the company wants you to hold stock for long-term investing? No other place where I have a few dollars invested does this.

At least for September, I should be able to start without being behind on rent. May still be behind on other things but not rent.

Did the quiz on the budgeting app. Was too late last week so I wasn't in the running for the $4k draw. I am interested in knowing how they categorize merchants because it claims I spent almost $900 on dining out and I know that's not true. I rarely dine out and I'd never spend that much!

@Enthenia I'm really glad to hear you got some groceries and that was a really good price for filet mignon! I take joint supplements too and I think they've helped. I mean I still have bad days but every little bit that helped it not be so bad all the time is a plus.

I'm sorry to hear that they were doing microsubscription fees for your investments. Good thing you noticed!
900 a month dining out would be great if we could afford to but I can't see you doing that either. Heck that would be at least two months of groceries!

@mytwistedsoul I don't remember the last time I woke up with minimal pain. I'm going to skip it tomorrow and see how I do. It's a professional grade formula so I'm assuming it's more potent than what I have been getting. Just came back from the dog store and I wasn't winded or in pain when I got back. Also haven't had my knees crack as much. Of course, I don't know if it's from the gel or the supplements I got (which are organic). I haven't done supplements in a while. Forgot to get them. Been through so much over the past few months that wellness items didn't even register with me.

I also did a step counter from a company that I've done games with. I don't mind their app; I just don't really like the selection of games. Most now are casino games. Well slot games or merge games. Sometimes I find ones that are different like sorting games but it's not often. Anyways, the step counter lets you convert steps to gift cards and they have game options too. More than the one I had installed. I'm not downloading anything new though because I've almost maxed out my storage space. I converted my steps yesterday to the equivalent of .48. Not much, but I didn't walk a lot yesterday. I'll see what the total is once I walk to the bus stop this afternoon and then home once I get off the bus. But, if I can get something for walking, that will help in the long run. May not be able to pay for groceries with it but it can still help.

Perhaps in a week or so, I might be able to run with the dog. She'd like that.

Had a missed call from my student loan holder which I thought was odd so I looked at the website again. Owe way more than when I checked the last time which was within the past week. Set up a repayment plan. Not sure how I will make the payments because the lowest I could do was $300 a month but it's better than the $800 they say I owe.

Also got an email about rent even though rent isn't due yet. Trying not to panic with everything hitting from all sides like usual. Also trying to advance in levels to get extra $$. Close on a couple of games. Will probably do surveys after a while too.

So much for feeling like I've accomplished something. I haven't.

@Enthenia How did you feel today with skipping supplements and gel? Did you notice a difference?

Omgosh yeah those casino games really eat up space on phones. I downloaded one and played for an hour or so and it used up 7 g of my storage space!
Hey a step converter makes sense. Even if you only made .48 yesterday, if you add that up each month its close to 15.00. I mean you're walking anyway, why not make some money doing it? It's actually a pretty good idea.

Omgosh the dog would definitely love it!
Deep breaths ok? As long as you're making an attempt to pay the student loan they won't send it to collections as quick. Can you still split rent?

@mytwistedsoul well I did the supplements and a little bit of the gel on my arm because it felt stiff. I think I put too much on the first day. The good thing is, it's all natural ingrediants. Stuff I can recognize even with the scientific names.

I don't know about the splitting rent up. After everything that happened, I ended up not qualifying for it so I deleted the app. I downloaded it again and I have an email which I need to read. If I can use it again, that would really help. I'd rather do 60% rent instead of 100%. Will look at it in a bit. Just got to level 100 on a profile matching game. The app tracking that has a $1k bonus that they divvy up to those who reach all the goals and I was 1 away from reaching all of mine. Probaby won't get anywhere near the thousand but the more points I get, the more I'm likely to earn.

Opened the email. Says I'm eligible again but we'll see. Have to change the apartment number. Also had to update the bank. So I updated the information and at first I panicked because it gave me a message stating I resumed my account with my old apartment number but then I checked the apartment listing and it's the new one. I then moved $600 from my checking to their holding account. That way, I'll only have about $300 to do when rent  gets processed and by then, the amount from closing my investing account should be in the bank. But at least I can do it again!! $850 is better than the full amount. I was also able to update the payment method on some of my food subscription items since I didn't have to worry about doing the full rent amount. So that will help too. Not having to stress about rent is so nice.

@mytwistedsoul and the Internet bill! I'm behind on other things but not utilities or the rent this time. I've never really been behind on the electric--I just have to pay more since technically I have a new account. The Internet bill I paid early. It wasn't due until the beginning of next month.

@mytwistedsoul thanks but it's not exactly earth shattering.

I think the elderly neighbor upstairs is gone. There was a lot of activity upstairs which the dog did not like. People coming and going in front of her door and loud noises on the stairs. When we went out in the evening, I noticed a paper on the door upstairs when we got back. The lights were out this morning and it was quiet upstairs last night. I don't know if something happened to her as well (she could barely walk) of if she or relatives or something decided that she should move. The van is still there. Not really any of my business and I didn't exactly know her. Saw her a couple of times and that was it. Only been over here since, what, June?

Getting cooler much to the dog's delight. We were out for quite a bit on our second time out. She wanted to bring her big ball out. Will take her out again in an hour or so. Still need to eat something. She got to run around a bit with a little Maltese yesterday that happened to be in the dog area when we got over there. She lived in the section behind us so we walked her home.  Since she usually has a toy with her, she doesn't get many chances to chase after other dogs but when it's close to 11, I don't let her take a toy out with her because she doesn't stay in the dog area for long. No shade at 11 and 12.

@Enthenia It might not be earth shattering but I think it's still a pretty big deal.

Maybe they moved her somewhere she can get some help if she has trouble walking.

@mytwistedsoul maybe. I know there were some people hanging around a neighbor's car when I took the dog out Saturday but I didn't think anything about it. Wasn't any of my business anyway.

It was cool enough for her to go out at noon again!! She wanted to take her toy but we went on a walk instead. Took the mobile with us to use the pedometer I had installed but I uninstalled it this morning because I think something was wrong with it. We walked the length of the property and the pedometer claimed it was only 153 steps. I did much more than 153 steps. Looked it this morning once I got to my second bus stop and it still said the same amount. So I know it isn't working correctly. Will probably find a different pedometer to use. I had tried the Pikmin Bloom but it kept messing up on the location setting. Would like to find a legitimate one to trade steps in for gift cards but now I'm doing a survey on dish soap and I'm officially at work so I may have to wait a bit. Of course, it's Monday so it's not going to be too busy in the office today.

Hard to believe it's Thursday already!  This week has been a continuous cluster fluff that carried over from last week. The house finally has a new roof. They said it would only take a day or two. Turned out to be a week. I probably could have done it in that time! Would have saved me a ton of money. At least the roof doesn't leak now 😅

Tuesday I took a blow to the head. By a gargoyle 🤭 Which it's kind of funny now but it had me seeing stars when it happened. I'm glad it got me instead of Yogi though. I don't think I'll be putting it back where it was. 😅
