2026 Week #4 - Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 01/19/25 - Sunday 01/25/26)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

I have to get my tax tests entered. I have a lot going on right now, but I have to get rid of the distractions and focus on this right now the rest can wait.
@reservedOwl321
Good morning, It sounds like, getting those tax test entered, is really the thing you must get done today or very soon.
From your last reply on the other post, you stated, "I think I bit off more than I can chew for the next year!".
I encourage to try not to think about that, because you will get a whole lot less done. And, true, you may not get everything done in a years time that you want to get done, but with that kind of fearful thinking, It might feel kind of hopeless more often, than it needs to be.
Let that scary thought be there, but from the subject of meditation, see it, feel it but let it pass through you. It's there, and it's real. All you can do this year is build a foundation for the following year, so just do your best and this week, let it be a Win Win.
Try to do the one thing in front of you and then do the next thing that comes in front of you.
Thanks for your encouraging words on the Last Post. It helped, Coming up out of a holiday rut and a seasonal downfall for what I do. Thanks for reminding me about that.
What do you say? Let's both do well today. I'm going to hunker down and get out of my rut a little bit more. ☺️.
@IsayUncle Thanks for the reminder to do my one thing. I am proud to say I am DONE with the test. I am going to focus on rest for a little bit, then look for my next ONE thing. You are right it had gotten me a little worried, but now I can enjoy the rest of the month not having to worry about it, so thanks for the encouragement.
If I can help encourage you better to get out of your rut let me know. You got this too!
Pretty much the same goal as last week, whatever that was. Filed a complaint with the state labor board and looked specifically for an EIRSA lawyer. Left a note for them but won't hear from anyone for a bit since it's a holiday today...
Had someone ask me if I budget. I do but I could do better. However, that doesn't really help the situation I'm in now and it's not like I can pull money out of thin air. I know what needs to be done. Have more coming in then going out and cut expenses.
Requested another withdrawal from my current retirement account. I didn't want to. I thought I could maybe do the same with the old account but they don't have a hardship option. You can only request a withdrawal if you're 59 1/2 or do a loan and I don't qualify for either of those. The other option was if I was planning to leave or have left the company which I initially chose and most of you know how that turned out. I had hoped that maybe I could get money from both accounts which would get the rent paid, pay off some other people who keep calling and put me in good shape for February but as many of you also know, things rarely go in my favor.
Reality is tiresome.
New week same goal. Launch just business. I underestimated the time it takes to do this and I've ran into roadblocks, and another tonight but I'll reach out for support the AM.
@HealingWithin111
I Think that is the best goal achieving attitude a person can take. Do it again, hit it again, stay at it. Even if you're not moving at the rate that you want to, keep pushing. Great Job.
So I took the liberty to reword your goal statement a little bit. A little bit of reminder, A little bit of fun and a little bit of reality, I hope you don't mind.
"I am starting a new online business, I am hoping by mid-week. This is a massive goal, but I feel confident, not like it's too easy, but in a oh nice a challenge. Even if it takes a whole week to set up that's totally acceptable. I would like to start sending emails by next monday."
"I am continuing with a new online business, I am hoping by mid-week. This is a massive goal, but I feel confident, not like it's too easy, but in a oh nice a challenge. Even if it takes a another week to set up that's very acceptable. I would like to start sending emails by next monday."
And so it goes... You Got This! It's a good way to win.
Ohh I love this thank you for rewording it, I didn't even think of that!! I too probably slacked a little more than I shouldve. Even when I am excited, sometimes the dread can take over of nothing has been working out, why will this, bunch of negative talk, so that's why I have been more positive in terms of words and expressions. 🙏
I've been procrastinating, It seems like forever, but, for it's been about a week and a half to repair front brakes on the truck. They could have been done in one day. I've wasted so much time.
I finally finished them last night. The whole time I was putting it off, I had regrets, but now I can put the regrets behind me, and move on to my next project.
I'm making my own yard signs for advertisement, so that's my next project, start painting on those. These are pretty critical to get some jobs going. (Plus tear off tags page for stores, plus business cards.) Every winter with my type of work, December and January usually drop off to nothing and I've been without work for about 4 weeks now. I do not have suffecient bank reserve to last another 3 weeks.
Going into February.... Advertise..... Get/Do jobs..... Extensive vehicle maintenance.
In addition to; Printing a whole new set of blank finacial sheets, while tallying last years for taxes.
Great job getting the brakes done 👍 I'm sure that is a relief. It's not about how long it took, it's done and you can move on. On to the signs.
I have family members who did seasonal work and they would plow snow in the winter and mow in the summer to help make up the difference. I don't know if that is a possibility where you are.
Just an idea, do you have any items you might be able to sell to help in the meantime on marketplace?
@reservedOwl321
Thanks. A big relief. 😃
Re-sell is someting I'm working towards. just got FB re-active. Navigating that alone, is daunting.... the whole, hello world, I'm back... thing.
I am so disappointed in Craigslist. It's been years and I checked it out the other day and all the supermarketers have destroyed it and I guess the Developers have no desire to keep it user friendly for the individuals. Now it's just like one big spam site. You can't even find individual listings on hardly anything. That was going to be my go to place for selling stuff but I won't even waste any time on that.
Of course there's a lot of local Sale clubs And organizations that I can participate with too.
That was a great and insightful suggestion. thx.
I should have been working on these things for the past few weeks, and, I started to but then I just never followed up on them. That is a biggie. And I have plenty of stuff to sell. More stuff than I can clean and figure out what to do with.
It's a new day! I'm sorry that was daunting for you, I get it. People can be so *** sometimes and socials don't always bring out the best in them. I rarely look at it unless I'm selling something. You can also join sale groups locally on fb, that might be helpful or is that what you meant? Glad you have things you can sell.
eBay also turned into a crapshoot for the regular people, but you never know until you try. I would focus on a few more expensive things first of possible.
@reservedOwl321
YAY... NEW DAY.
We say, " Make way, 'Cause were we're gonna conquer and slay, all of our troubles away" (okay, kind of corny, today, some may say).... oh stop already. 🤣. Let's just have a great day.
I did eBay years ago and I still have a *** account and I think I still have my eBay account too but that's 20 years past, seriously. I did eBay when they were still debating/ Fighting about taxing Internet sales.
Anyway marketplace and local groups are the way to go. I kind of dread the obligation and necessary interaction With people and the whole, Meet up places for sale, or trust in people, to come to the property. So it's kind of a big deal. I don't live in a highly populated place so its a lot of driving for me to get to a local place.
But I really need to bite the bullet and do it. I'll try to motivate myself by keeping you all posted on my progress. If that works, I can use the attention I think. 😅🤑
@isayuncle I like that saying. I'm starting a busy work day. We got this! 💪
@isayuncle what do you do for work? Is it the car repairs? Maybe with my knowledge of marketing and stuff I could help you! No pressure, just an idea.
@HealingWithin111
That was a good guess, 😁. I do have a strong mechanical background but right now running a backhoe hauling gravel. It includes a lot of equipment repair and vehicle repair that's involved with that work, so I'm not surprised you thought that I might be in auto repairs. Logical conclusion👍.
Thanks for the offer to help with the marketing. At the moment I don't need help with the marketing. I need help getting off my butt, to get a few things listed. That's like the beer basics, ha ha "beer basics" (Need a few of those) 😆. Bare basics.... just doing the physical work. The whole time consumption thing. UGGH! It'll be easier after i get a system going. I'm going to do it. (After that I might be able to use some help, for sure)
thx again, and good luck with ur goal!
I cannot believe how much time I have wasted during this downtime that I have.
I just don't get it. I don't understand what happens to my brain, when I need to do a task or finish an obligation.
It's like two same magnetic fields, that oppose each other. It is so unexplainable and nonsensical.
I know what the right thing is to do, There's nothing in my way to do it. I can envision the benefits of getting it done, I can see all the power of getting this task done. But yet it repels me, I procrastinate I put it off, I dread it. My mind and my body are too tired to approach it.
TODAY WILL BE DIFFERENT!
I WILL FINISH, PAINTING MY ADVERTISEMENT SIGNS.
I WILL MAKE, MY ADVERTISEMENT "TEAR OFF TAG" PAGES.
I WILL DESIGN, AND ORDER MY BUSINESS CARDS.
I CAN and I WILL
FOCUS - INTENTION - FERVOR
4:39AM: Morning tasks..... Paint one sign.
Good morning. Good plan! Don't beat yourself up. Remember you can't change the past. If you really looked at it, you've probably done a lot more than you realize. How is sign progress?
@reservedOwl321
Thanks. I did my one sign this morning. so I have 3 now.... 9 more to go.
I'm getting sidetracked though, I need to go into town, stock up for emergency weather conditions. We got severe weather coming this weekend and I have to go get some propane.
Great job on getting your sign made! It sounds like the storm is expected to hit most of the US. We were at the store it was super busy! I hope you get what you need! I am stocked up on hot cocoa. I'm not sure what else we'll need here. Maybe I should get some ingredients for soup. Do you usually use a list at the store?
@reservedOwl321
If I can just, make it to the store, for my hot cocoa,

EVERYTHING WILL BE OK!!! 🤣😂 (the important stuff)
I did get all my stuff that I needed. Thanks. I think I'm going to get my generator set up to run accord into the house. That will be the first time that I have needed to do that but I think we're gonna have about 4 days of pretty iffy weather.
I actually keep an ongoing list of stuff that I think about that I need for shopping but then, when I go shopping I just hand pick out the stuff that I need for that week or what I want for that week. But everything else is reminders for maybe, later on.... So Yes, I photo that list when i go to town.
Do you do a list?
I hope you have a cozy storm weekend. Be safe stay warm.
I'm glad you got what you needed. I would send hot cocoa over.. I'll have to send Imaginary and virtually 😊 Stay warm!
I need a list. We have plenty of food, and don't live far from the snow routes, so it will not be difficult for me unless we lose power or something. You can only prepare so much... Fingers crossed we're prepared! Glad I don't have to go anywhere.
I think I figured out where my persistent resistance to chores, comes from. And I'm not joking. I think its a pretty serious defect.
I do not like to be told what to do. I do not like commitment. I do not like obligations.
To do a task that I do not feel like doing, can be considered an obligation, That's the first turn off and then I have to commit to do it to get it done, That's the second turnoff, and just having to do it is like being told to do it, even though nobody's telling me to do it, its kind of like the same thing. I am being forced to do something I don't feel like doing but it needs to be done.
Is that weird, to break it down like that. Perhaps selfish, That, I don't want to be inconvenienced even for my own betterment.
I don't feel like going to town (for emergency prep).... Be stupid, not to.
