I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are can be harder than what we first think. That's OK, You can do it. It's normal. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.

I thought there would be more comments by now. My aspirations this week are pretty much like last week. To keep my head above water. Pay things down if not off and try to save for perhaps a better future. Of couse in the immediate future I need money for the bus because my pass expires tomorrow morning. I tried to do a withdrawal from one of the accounts but the identity verification link wouldn't work and now withdrawals are frozen. Tried to get on chat a couple of days ago but no one would connect.

If I can get one of the other accounts up to where I can transfer funds, I'll be fine. I tried to do some things yesterday but I went and fell asleep. I don't know why. I cut out potatoes yesterday because I only had about $50 to use at the grocery store so I had to pick and choose what to get and I absolutely had to get cat food. I tried to get a protein bar box because I thought I had a coupon for it. It was one of those "Spend $xx and get $5 off your next purchase" which I did but the coupon didn't work so I had to put it back. I also was unable to get anything for lunch this week. I get my paycheck on Thursday so I'll only have to get through until Wednesday for food. Can't go without the bus pass though. Not walking 3+ miles for the rest of the week and that would be back and forth so it would be a total of at least 18 miles.

Um, I got a letter stating that my dentist no longer takes my insurance. I went onto the website to search for dentists in network and found that some of the other dentists at the office I've been going to for five years do take my insurance. At least I don't have to hunt for another location. It's across the street which is the most convenient location for me. I also had to pay the opthamologist. That was $100. Fortunately I had that much on my HSA card. Hopefully I'll get more on it before the appointment with the retina specialist because he likes payments up front.

I think that's it for now. I have to finish writing this report because it's due in a couple of days and I need to catch up on other things that I didn't do on my mobile because I got tired or forgot.

It does feel like that at times. I tried asking my mom if she could spare $20 so I could at least get to work until I get paid but I guess she hasn't seen the message.

I went and downloaded another one that had good reviews and a $10 bonus offer but you have to play like 20 levels on new games before you can get the bonus. And the other ones I have won't let me cash out what I need so I can transfer to my debit card. I mean, I can, if I want gift cards but that doesn't really help me right now.

@Enthenia

With as much time that you spend on the computer with the games, and as smart as you are on the computer and paperwork.... Have you ever considered a working from home job, you know being a facilitator or working for a company you know that needs that type of work I know there's a lot out there.

That seems that would be a good fit for you, especially if you could find something part time or pliable to your schedule. It seems you might be able to make more money than playing these games.

From as much as you been talking about these games, I thought it was a great idea. But it seems like these games just keep fishing you along, and fishing you along. So I thought maybe you could look into something else that at least you can make a better Commission or steady extra income even if it's only a little bit.

The transition might be hard if you don't have a good enough computer and you have to pay for Internet services but it might be worth the investment. If you qualify some companies we'll supply you with a computer, and Internet fees maybe. (But realistically, You'd probably have to be highly qualified for those benefits).... But don't know until For sure, until it's looked into.

I'm sure you already looked into all of this and found tons of reasons why this won't work for you, but boy if it did, It could be a game changer for you. Definitely worth any extra effort that's needed.

@IsayUncle there is one rather large obstacle with that and the reason why I go into the office every day. If it were just the cat, I might consider it but with a working dog and an obsession with being active nearly every moment of the day...

I mean I do get a few hours of silence on the weekend but not enough to be productive at an actual job. And if I were at home, I wouldn't have that mile every day that I walk. With the dog, we just get as far as the dog area in the apartments. That's as much as she can wait to play. When I do the games is when she's resting or when I'm getting ready to hang up laundry. I also do it at my desk at work when I'm doing other things or waiting for something to load which can take some time depending on where the item is. Or at night before I go to sleep.

And to do anything online or technology related, I think I'd still need the certificationin which case I'd be better off finishing the schooling I started.

Right now, I'd just like to get a stable footing. Pay down some bills, get extra money so I don't overspend or have funds for curveballs like a bill for the retina specialist. Had to do $200 before i could be seen then received an email letting me know that I should be expecting a bill in the mail. Have no idea how much that will be and I have to go back and see him this month which will cost another $200.

I was able to get the dog some food and I had a $20 gift card for the pet store from a previous promotion. The dog is nearly out of food. Didn't realize I was at the bottom of the bag until yesterday. Hopefully the food will come from a local and not one on the other side of the country so she won't have to wait too long.

@IsayUncle Back when I was looking for work because I thought I had to, I did get a couple of interviews for positions that were commission sales. I sort of had to because according to unemployment, you have to do interviews with companies if you're called upon. With as unstable as things were back then, I didn't want anything that was commission based.

Even now, I don't think I'd like anything that was commission or freelance. I guess doing the games is sort of freelance but I have something stable that I do that is steady. I think to do freelance all the time, I would have to be way more confident than I am. I'd also have to have a lot more skills than I possess and be able to talk to people which I don't do. Many people don't seem to be willing to listen so I just don't talk. Seems to be a wasted effort.

@Enthenia

Yeah, I didn't mean any specific pay structure. And I agree I do know Commision is usually there to run you ragged for a little bit of gain.

I must admit I'm not familiar with the work from home culture. (Computer genera). "But from my own years of self employment", I do know for a fact that it's a lot easier to go into a office and work all day, than to be at home and work in the same manner. That is very hard to do because of all the distractions. You are right to consider that, and understand it as quite the obstacle sometimes..

But I thought there were jobs out there that you could be like a call center or help people fill out paperwork or stuff like that. I just suggested Commission 'cause I thought maybe some companies would pay you by how many customers you talk to, or something like that. But that was not a significant part of my conversation or idea.

I thought there might be jobs out there where you could work two hours a day and maybe three days a week, or something flexible to you, that would bring in some extra money on a weekly basis.

And your education definitely can have a lot to do with it because I know a girl that works in the medical field that makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year just from her house because she knows all prescriptions and stuff like that. She's not a doctor or nothing and she doesn't prescribe things but she's able to fill out that type of paperwork I guess. I don't really know what she does. The best I remember, is that she helps fill out complicated medical applications.

But, ignoring that extreme instance of successful employment, It seems like someone with a basic education might be able to assist companies from home, handling Customer inquiries, and the like.

And another good point you made, is, with more education, your position could be more desirable.

It seems like the games are perfect for you, right now. It fits into your balance for the week. It's just too bad That they encourage you with possibilities, but then pay you with small amounts. It's better than nothing, and good for you for staying at it and pecking Your way through everything. Stay at it.

@IsayUncle I know those which are known as virtual assistants can make a lot but one has to be highly organized and much more personable than I am.

And perhaps if I had like a house with a yard, I might consider it. Maybe even if I had a vehicle that way I could take the pup out to a place with a lot of grass and space to run but I don't. Need to get outstanding debt paid down/off so my credit isn't in the trash bin like it is. That would help.

A lot of other things would help as well but now I need to finish doing background checks for people on my list and then move files over so the person who checks behind me doesn't think I'm completely slacking.

@IsayUncle Hey Uncle. Sorry I've been MIA for so long. A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 😬 Had a run of bad luck. Had to put a new motor in my truck. Had to fix the skid loader, that broke during a snow storm that dropped 2 foot. It's been so freaking cold this winter. Depression has been kicking my a** this winter. I fell on the ice about a month ago and hit my elbow pretty hard. Just found out I broke it (smh) Which is just awesome (sarcasm) because the health insurance went up, along with the home owners insurance 😕

The highlight has been that I finally got a puppy. He's a handful 😅 Meet Yogi

Hey Twist, I can honestly say, I missed your presence. I have a way of alienating people so I wasn't sure if I had said something off or not.

But also, I've learned most of the time, it's not about me. People come and go from this site quite often. Those that I get close to, I imagine they were here for a hard time, and then they got on their feet and got to rocking and rolling. (My best wishes). But I also worry that maybe they got themselves in a slump.

Of course, no apologies are necessary. Its really great to hear from you. I am sorry to hear about the hardships during this winter. It was really really tough. I totally get the depression thing. And of course they say it's worse in the winter, which is true, but I think that is besides the point. Deep depression sucks any time of the year. And other things trigger it throughout the year. Like one thing after another going wrong, again and again. And it's hard to stay strong.

So you've been taking some very hard, one-two punches pretty consistently. And then, Oh my goodness, with your broken elbow. That's like the icing on the cake, That's rough man. Really sorry about that one. It's a super challenge to come up out of it. Let's Do It!

I LOVE YOGI! He is adorable. (Terrier ?) Where'd you get him?

Talking about MIA's.... Cycling and Tiny have dissapeared....... 🙁..... Finding better or more peaceful path's I hope.

If you have the energy and the time, try not to M.I.A. again for a while. Coming into better weather warmer times. Time to crank up our creative juices and have a good year this year. I'd like to hear, what you're up to, and of course you know, I like to blab about what I'm up to. 🙄.

Sorry it took 2 days to reply. Wanted to take my time with the reply, and I'm also having mechanical problems, keeping me kind of bummed out.... BUT, I'm fighting through it, so that's good. 😀

Say "Hey" to Yogi! 🐶

@IsayUncle Tbh I missed you too. Your stick to it attitude kind of helps me to stick to it too. Nah you didn't do anything that made me feel alienated. I alienate myself lol

This winter was just brutal. With all the snow and the cold and every just breaking. If it wasn't for the alligators, snakes, bugs and iguanas Florida would be nice. But then I'd probably complain about the humidity 😂

With the elbow that was my own fault 😂 if I wouldn't have been screwing around on the ice I wouldn't have fell 😅 I was messing with the pup 😂 It didn't even really hurt. A few weeks went by when I admitted I couldn't put any weight on it 😬 They want me to keep it imobile for 12 weeks 😅 I said I'd do my best. Made me think of your shoulder and you being down to one wing all that time. Holy crap it's hard! 😬

Yeah Tiny's been missing for a while 😞 I'm worried about her. I'm sorry to hear cycling has been MIA too. I hope they're both ok 💜

Yeah I need to do better with keeping in touch. It's better than isolating and it helps connecting with people.

Hey no worries about it taking time. I figure you're pretty busy too. The weather is so hard on equipment. I'm glad you're fighting through it! I'm cheering you on! Come on spring!

Yogi is a Lhasa mix. A couple had him and his brothers and sisters advertised online. I kept finding reasons not to go and then they kept dropping the price and there was just something about him. So I took a drive lol. The little guy doesn't know it but he's been a real life saver 😊 He got bigger than what I thought he would and is a little firecracker 😂 Tbh it's nice having something cuddly lol I missed having a dog

Twist works. 😊 The truck is all fixed and running great, except the heater is a little weird. Still trying to figure out what's going on with that. The skid steer just needed a new belt. I was worried it was something with the hydraulics which would have cost a lot more

It's really good to talk with you again Uncle 😊

@mytwistedsoul

Hey, That's cool about the skid steer. You never know with this equipment. I thought I was out of business because I didn't keep a good eye on my antifreeze and there was a whole bunch of moisture on the outside of dump truck engine and I thought I'd crack the block.

It wouldn't start but it was just bad fuel filter frozen. Friend of mine had eased my mind and said that these big engines sometimes will sweat like a glass on the outside if the inside gets really cold. I was sick to my stomach with my stupidity of not keeping a closer eye on things.

Coming from New England, It's easy to relax in this warmer climate but it's stupid not compensate for cold spells. I got a new rule in life. The first time the temperature hits 31 degrees, All vehicles will be checked for their vitals. I got a mechanical background but I hate mechanics and so I put everything off.

What kind of  mix is Yogi mixed with? Do you know? I have a King Cavalier that showed up at my camp about 10 years ago. Yogi would be a Lhasalier. (Googled it! 😁). Either way.... loyal.... watch you like a hawk, independently smart. I'm glad you got a Yogi!

BTW, I wish I had a love of life and everything was yippee skippy. Thanks for the compliment about sticking with things, and I'm glad it helps you too. I simply have no choice and I'm glad that I have a logical mind, If I can't find any ambition from the joy of accomplishment.

It's mostly the logic that keeps me going, if that makes any sense. I just learned an amazing thing about myself. My Inability to maintain a zeal for projects Is not necessarily from depression or laziness, but from a lack of dopamine in my system. With a dysfunction family background and no positive reinforcement, my body or my brain never learned how to build a supply of dopamine.

Understanding this development has blown my mind and changed my perspective on everything. I  never could figure out why I kept failing, after trying so hard.

Anyway that's another full conversation but it feels good to grasp a little bit of understanding.
I didn't mean to ramble on but, I always hope someone else reads it. gets a little something out of it.
PS... Building a dopamine rich diet is going to help. 😋.

Good luck with the truck heater! 👍

@IsayUncle I hear ya! I used to take the time to go over things before it got really cold out. Because without this equipment I'm screwed when the snow flies. For whatever reason I really slacked this year. 😬 I'm glad it was just a bad fuel filter. I know your livelihood depends on your equipment too. Sometimes it's just hard to find the time to go over it when we should. I need to start keeping better maintenance records 😅

He's mixed with bichon. I think they called him a Lachon at the vets 😂 He's only been here a few months but I already can't imagine not having him. He's a really cool dog and yes! Really smart 🤓

Hey ramble on! I don't mind at all! I think I'm with you on that. I don't know how to keep the dopamine supply up either. I have moments of it but it disappears as soon as it arrives. I know I'm craving sunshine right now too. That always helps me a little but it hasn't been out for a week or so.  I never realized that it is an actual diet too 😅 Everyone always says about doing things that make you feel good but there are also foods that help build dopamine too. I'm glad you mentioned that. I'm going to look into it a little more

I am so happy for you and Yogi! I LOVE IT! (Don't forget, bugs come with hugs... but well worth it!😁)

Yea, This Dopamine thing is a huge deal for me!

I could never understand how other people accomplish much. (I do not compare mysellf to others) I look at results I'd like to achieve and how others do it. I just thought they had superior genes of focus, determination, motivation... etc. I've tried so hard for so long, but never cresting the hump.

I lack dopamine manufacturing because of no positive childhood reinforcement. This is when this mechanism builds itself into a working macine. I don't have that working macine.

...... out of time..... pick this up later? u ok with that?

I need some advice... if you can.
BTW.... does it help you find the weekly thread if i tag you.... would u prefer that? I'm navigating the dynamic of that, not wanting to create an endless tag list. but i'd like to have a dynamic tag list but not exclude MIA,s while culling out the passer-by's or non activity.
I think entenia is doubting herself or my action... I don't want to cause that either.

Anyway, good talking! Have a great day!

@IsayUncle Thanks Uncle 😊 I wasn't too sure about a small dog. I've had shepherds and bigger dogs. I'm looking for another one too lol. Yogi should probably have a brother or a sister 😂

It's good you don't compare yourself. I try not to but I'm not always successful with that. I do understand not having any positive childhood reinforcement. How can we help you with that? In turn it would probably help quite a few others here too. Of course we can pick it up later

It does help me to be tagged. I often forget which community things are in. 😅 And I don't always think to look. I know sometimes though tags don't always work. Like sometimes when people reply if they delete the @ and mytwistedsoul I get a notice for a new post but it doesn't tag me 😅 sometimes tags can be glitchy

Hope you had a good day! Stay awesome Uncle!

Yea, definetly about another dog. Not only for them, but watching the two dogs interact throughout the day it is just a wonderful dynamic. They can get quite jealous and you gotta give them both a lot of loving. They're funny, One of them may even get their feelings hurt and start pouting. I got 5, Just Drifters and throwaways that ended up on my property. They are all mischievous and hilarious in all their unique ways. I think two dogs is a good fit. 🥰.

it It would be pretty cool to do a thread together. This realization about the dopamine has changed me and energized my perspective in a positive way. I'd like to talk about that a lot more but there's probably a lot of other stuff to talk about too.

Back to the dopamine, Realizing that the lack of dopamine was the reason lack of zeal, has really encouraged me because I thought it was just me and my inadequacies. Learning about the dopamine, I realized that I don't have the pre-zeal For projects and their completion. The best I can do is act in a robotic nature to get task done and hope for a pro- zeal after the fact.

There are pre dopamine effects and there are post dopamine effects. If we don't have any natural predop, we have to do things robotically to reach a dopamine effect. Eventually, with enough post dopamine results, it starts to build our dopamine engines We will eventually have some pre dopamine advantages.

So yeah if you wanted to start thread together maybe calling it a weekly topic with twist and ....?

So my username is kind of odd because a lot of people don't want to call me uncle and I didn't realize that Isay is a strong religious Reference to Isaiah.
When I was a kid and we were wrestling and fighting and stuff, if we said uncle, That meant we gave up. I don't know if other people did that. But saying uncle was like tapping out. When I started here on 7 cups, I was at that point of saying, "uncle" with life. I was giving up. Hence IsayUncle.

I thought Isay, Sounded cool. But realizing it had a strong religious reference, I wouldn't want people to think I want to be called Isaiah, so I don't know what to do, just don't call me late for dinner.

I like calling you Twist because I think it sounds cool And purposely stopped at that twist because I don't want to be calling you twisted all the time even if, maybe you are🤣.
Anyway, Weekly topic with Twist and Unc. (or something like that) Intrerested?

(And yes, i will tag you again)

Good talking with ya, Have a great day.

@IsayUncle Having another dog would help keep this guy entertained a little. He's a demanding little thing sometimes 😅 Yeah they can get jealous of each other. I've always been pretty good with keeping a balance with that. At least I did with the girls. It's always so sad that people just drop them off somewhere and expect them to be ok or I guess maybe they just don't care. I remember when you found those 3 pups 😊

I wondered if that's what your username meant! I mean I wasn't 100% sure but it was what first came to mind. That tap out. Kind of like yelling mercy.

I don't mind calling you Uncle. If you don't mind me calling you that. Or even Say. I can be a little Twisted sometimes 😁😂

Yeah we can do a thread like that. No time limits or obligations to reply right away though because of work and whatever else we've got going on though. I definitely would like to learn more about this and ways to build it and maintain it. And maybe we can help each other with that and anyone else who might read it.

Cool, how to get started?

We mentioned talking about dopamine.

But there are other topics that we can talk about.

Do you have any experiences or topics that you would like to share?

We were talking about not making this an obligation, But it'll be kind of cool if it becomes engaging enough that we want to come back, and converse some more, along with other people joining in on the conversation.

So before we get started what do you think about us brainstorming a little bit of a platform first,

I'm thinking it could be like you and I are the host of a podcast. And any topic that we talk about can be started with a new thread, but, (with the same title of whatever we decide our podcast title should be..... )🤣😂🤣😂. Sounds a little goofy but why not have fun with it?

What are some of your ideas on the approach?

User Profile: mytwistedsoul
mytwistedsoul February 25th

@IsayUncle Boy talk about frustrating. I had a reply I was working on and it decided not to save it 😕 Now to try and recapture the magic 😅

Goofy works for me lol because we do have to keep it fun. We can be serious but still have fun with it. That will make it more engaging too I think
Maybe we could go with something like "Uncle and Twist Dopamine Drip" 😂 Or Dopamine Drive... Idk 😅
We could maybe include healthy recipes that help boost it.

We could discuss depression and anxiety. We could maybe touch base on opening up and being vulnerable which is usually hard for guys to do because of stigmas. That whole suffer in silence thing a lot of us were taught growing up. As we get going, other ideas will probably pop up too or people might make requests or suggestions.
We could cover time management. I know I struggle with that 😅 Work/ life balance?

A new thread for each topic would help keep things more organized I think and on focus.

I'll give this more thought over the next day or two and see what else comes to mind 😊

Yea, after not working at all for about 6-8 weeks... cash was in danger zone.....,

Good to see some light.

And what about you, What is going on with your shoulder? Are you doing OK?

So, about the thread.... The spirit of it for me is a conversation on a topic that you and I want to talk about but anyone else can join in if they choose to.

So I was we can have a standard thread with a standard title like " Weekly Topic with Twisted and Unc.

And then lable that weeks topic. like "The Dopamine Drip."

And then other ideas too, like the "Routine Paradox" .... And you mentioned some other good ones too.

And you and I have a conversation just like a podcast or something were we discussed our opinions and ideas back and forth and then other people can chime in if they want and like that.

OH, and I/we  could keep a library of our threads for easy refefence..

@IsayUncle Going without work for a while does really cut into any saving there might be. It doesn't help that every time you go to buy groceries or even parts the prices are higher than they were the week before. I'm glad things are picking up and you're able to see some light. I really hope this is a good year for you! (And me too lol)

It's my elbow 😅 Of all the things to break (smh) screwing around on the ice playing with the dog 🤭 tbh other than the initial hey ow that hurt moment I never gave it much thought. But the swelling wouldn't go down and it hurt to push on it or put weight on it. So I figured I'd get it checked. I'm supposed to keep it still - I try but I'm a bad patient 😬

I like that idea with a standard title and then the topic. And with the two of us it won't feel as overwhelming if it was just one of us. I think - well I hope others will join in. Because I think people can relate to many of the topics.

Which community were you thinking? General support or did you have somewhere else in mind?

(1) Elbow? Keep it immobile? If it's not in a cast.... tape a couple sticcks together and then tape to your arm... keep it immoble. So Hard... Do you best, it's way too easy to keep slacking off more and more. (Just my 2 cents again 🙄)

(2) Thread? I feel like I'm being a little *** about structure of the thread but I want to try to set it up so that it has staying power and not just another passing thread that goes into the thread dustbin.

Yeah wherever your head is at about how you think the thread might develop. Whatever category you think it will fit Or whatever category that you want to interact on or promote. Whatever you think, is good for me.

To be honest, now that I'm working I'm not gonna be able to put the energy into it that I was hoping to. But I still wanna do it 100%. I don't think it'll be as interactive as I envisioned it when I suggested it but like I said I'd still like to pursue it. What do you think?

I know I got some great topics I'd like to share about. Kind of a story line (lot's of subject matter) of the obstacles and successes from then to now. It's been an adventure. I'm eager to hear your perspective on things too. I know from your other posts, you are empathetic and very understanding here. Great qualities!

I don't know if this counts as motivation but when I turned on my mobile this morning, I had a deposit notice to my bank account. As I got paid yesterday, I was curious although I was not complaining at the deposit. I checked it once I got into the office and it was from my employer so I guess a bonus? I am grateful for it because I was able to put $400 on the rent app. I don't know how much else I will need to put down as it's not the first of the month and the app needs that info to figure out how much to split the rent. But, I have $400 earmarked. I still have other bills to get caught up on, paid down/off but at least I have part of the rent down which is way better than I have been for the past few months.

The dog seems to be getting used to the silence even though she started barking and whining at the door early this morning. Was about the time when the cat would want to go out or in (depending on where she was) so I opened the door a crack for the dog to look. There was nothing there. On our way back from the dog area, she spotted a stray and wanted to play with it. That may have been what got her whining ealier. I really will need to get her a new friend...

@SunshineJazz Hey that's great! Go you! 🎉 I know some people might not think it's a big deal but when we've been struggling for a long time these things are awesome to accomplish! What kind of art did you make? (No pressure to answer of course) 💜

@SunshineJazz Oh that's a new one! It's cute! There's nothing wrong with that! 🤭 Half the fun of drawing is drawing things the way we want! You just reminded me of some new markers I got and haven't used yet 😅 They're brush tip markers?  I've never used that kind before

@IsayUncle I posted here because the line moves over to the right farther and farther 😅

It's in a sling (most of the time) 😅 I slack more than usual 😂 It's been a mess outside and either snowing or raining and lots of mud 😜

I don't think you're being *** about the structure. You have a vision for it and there's nothing wrong with that. I did a little research and was thinking -

We would have our title -"An engaging topic with Unc and Twist"

Each week we would have episodes. The first would be episode 1. say...(Dopamine, the myth, the legend) In episode 1. we could discuss what Dopamine is and it's importance. Episode 2 Could be "How to rewire your reward system"

We would have a summary, what our thoughts are, links to relevant sites where we got our information, and maybe a video or two we might have found on YouTube. At the end we would have open ended questions that people could answer.

We should keep the initial first post short-ish because podcasts tend to be fast paced and some people can get overwhelmed if it's too much information all at once. We can always break things down into more episodes

I was thinking maybe the general community would be a good place to post because more people would see it?

What do you think?

@mytwistedsoul

So are your bones, broken or fractured? I don't remember if you said you had seen a doctor or not and I'm too lazy to go back and reread.

I'm just asking because the sling is fantastic, but I was wondering if it was wrapped and had to stay set. (immobile) It happened to you so close to my own arm shoulder surgeries that I know how inconvenient it is to be hobbled. But if it's fractured, so importat to keep it immobile.
The leaves can wait till next year, That would be perfect for me! 🤣.

All righty then, I think we got the starting details all worked out and everything that you said sounds good to me about the thread.

So I have one more suggestion before we start it.

This "week number 7 thread" has turned into our scratch pad and think tank between us, which is great. I think it would be very good idea to have a scratch pad and think tank thread To initiate and brainstorm the topic that we're gonna talk about, before, and get it zeroed in and then copy and paste it when we're ready to post. I think that way we'd be able to keep it At length and concise as we want it to. be.

So we can stay here as a scratch pad Or we can actually start a thread for a scratch pad. And it can be behind the scenes with Unc + Twist or Scratch Pad with unc +twist.  The title cound can be easily associated with the thread so if anybody wanted to jump in on it and talk to us on the scratchpad that would be OK by me. But we wouldn't change the scratch pad on a weekly basis we meet there and talk about what's going on Pretty soon people wouldn't really get in on it too much I don't think 'cause it would be pretty long. (BUT THEN having a similar title name can become confusing???)

What do you think about all of that?

And if you want we can start our first topic off with the dopamine because That was a big revelation for me and I could go back to where I got the information from and we can share it with other people too.

Off subject a little bit, but good news. I'm getting a lot of work and I'm having to take it because I need the money. So it's kind of nice that we're not in a pushy kind of situation. We seem to be communicating nicely.

Today is Saturday and it's my first day off and it is beautiful outside. I got both my doors open, dogs coming and come and go as they please. (How's Yogi?) The house is getting refreshed. I'm having a wonderful day and I hope you're having a great day too. Big rainstorms coming this evening, but that's OK. 😄

@IsayUncle I think they called it a fracture. Olecranon fracture. Other than it hurting if I put pressure on it it doesn't bother me. I could bend it and straighten it. It was close to a month before I even got it looked at. 😅 It is still swollen though. They wrapped it but it's not a cast. Omg yes it is inconvenient. Trying to haul hay or feed and move things around is almost impossible.

This sounds real good!
We could just have a thread in general support for the scratch pad if you want? And yeah there's no need to start a new thread each time. It would just be a continuous one. Plus it would help keep track of any new ideas we might have or suggestions others might have.

I'm really glad to hear that work is picking up for you! Take it! Make money when you can is my motto 😁 Because there's rainy days and times when it's a little slower. I hope this is a good year for you! 😊 I think we communicate pretty good too. It's been nice talking with you tbh 😊 (I'm still unbelievably worried about our small friend 😞)

Today is a nice day here. It was foggy and misty all weekend. But today is beautiful and I have the windows open. Yogi is doing great! Into everything 😂 but having him here has really helped keep the depression from dipping too far. Dogs really are man's best friend 😊

Hey Twist, Just a quick note, to let you know I read your post. I just have not had the time respond properly.

I think Tiny will be Ok. I used to worry a lot about her, but, Over time, I realized that she had her own rhythm. I remember one time I was so emotionally invested, when I heard some of her repetitive sufferings for the first time, (don't tell anyone) I actually bawled uncontrollably on the way to work the next morning. After that I tried to reach out to her, but never could develop a real conversation, to share real, deeper camaraderie.

It's easy to feel very deep and worried about her but I think That she is going to be A-OK. A lot of members come and go but some hurts worse than others, especially not Knowing the reason, being left with a cloud of worry.

Anyway, I hope you don't worry too much. As for our other stuff, i'm still game but I have to admit, my window of time has become increasingly shorter because of the seasonal work.

I'm sure you got a lot of work to do too, with all the springtime tasks and a one arm man.

We can start up that scratch pad thread anytime you want to in the General Support section. You or I can start that, whoever gets to start it first. Sounds good to me.😀 (tag me if you do 🤪.

@IsayUncle Just a quick I read this note lol

I know what you mean, I've shed more than a few tears for her. I try not to worry too much. I hope she's found some happiness, that she's up to her elbows in paint and has the sun on her face.

Thanks for starting the scratch pad thread 😊 I'm on my way there shortly lol
