User Profile: IsayUncle
IsayUncle February 16th

I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are can be harder than what we first think. That's OK, You can do it. It's normal. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.

@IsayUncle

 hello stranger 💙💙

this week—I have a goal—to get to the gym.

It’s something I’m VERY intimidated by. BUT I want to take care of my body. Because of everything it’s done for me.

I want to be able to be around other people. Maybe even say hi to someone  ⭐️ bonus points

i do have work most days. I’m hoping to either pursue on a day off or a decompress after work.

This has been heavy weighing on me.

I’ve signed up ✅

I can do this 💪

maybe I’ll buy some flowers 💐 bring On the..

Congrats on signing up! It shows you are serious about bettering your life. :)

About feeling intimidated to go to the gym... it can feel scary, but it's really not that bad.
If you're afraid of being judged, remember that everyone is there to improve themselves too.
When first going to the gym, we feel self-conscious and think that everyone is watching us. But it's actually the opposite. People generally like to see new members who have chosen that lifestyle. I know I do.

If you're nervous about what to do at the gym, it depends on what your goals are.
You could hire a trainer for a few sessions to give you a personalized plan based on your goal, and learn how to use the machines. [some research online can help too if money is an issue]
Or you could sign up for any class that looks interesting/fun to you, if your gym offers them.

But honestly, if none of those options fit right now, just go and start walking on the treadmill for just 10 minutes, a few times a week. Showing up is more important in the beginning than anything else. And walking on the treadmill is not scary. Walking is something you already know how to do so you have some confidence there.

And this way you get used to:
- going to the gym
- getting comfortable with being at the gym
- showing up for yourself
And while you're there, many times you'll naturally want to walk more, or might get curious to try running for a few minutes, or try something else at the gym. You'll figure it out as you go.

The hardest part is starting. By building the habit of simply showing up, building that consistency, everything else becomes easier and enjoyable. Have fun on your journey!

Hey Stranger, back at ya! That sounds like a real good idea with the gym. Just go and absorb your surroundings. Do a little working out, Get a chance to talk to a couple people maybe.

If nothing else, taking a break from your normal routine, can really feel pretty wholesome

Try not to feel intimidated. Hold your head up high strut your strut, and smell the sweat Oh Oh yuck.
Whaaaat! LOL, 😁🤣. Go and enjoy the time.

PS. Flowers are a really nice idea to brighten things up. Go get some!💐.

@Isayuncle I wasn't ignoring you! I somehow missed this post and the notification if there was one. I got the dr. appointment scheduled. I left it to the last minute but they were able to see me on Friday which is good because I have the day off for the dentist. I don't really want to go to the doctor because all she'll say is eat better and exercise more but I think an annual visit is a stipulation for the insurance so I may as well get it over with. And, it's not like I'm not losing weight. When I got more clothes, I took a gamble and ordered a couple of things a size smaller than I normally get. I can wear them without them constraining me too much.

I still need to get new shoes though and I need to look at the bill from the eye specialist. Have to see him next week and I'm sure he'd like to be paid beforehand. No clue where that money will come from. Haven't won any of the big prizes yet. Haven't won anything actually. Was trying to get some of the games up to where I could transfer maybe $15 to one of my debit cards and get a few groceries. I want to get the cherries while they're still on sale. The dog has a treat holder that I put plain yogurt in and then top with cherries and other berries. She likes cherries. Strawberries she's okay with and blueberries but she really likes cherries. I didn't realize I was at the bottom of the bag until last night. I can get them at the other store for $3.49 but $2.99 is a good price. However the new ad goes live tomorrow and I don't know when they'll be at $2.99 again. I was surprised to see them for that price. Normally they're over $5.

Currently working on collecting data for my last batch of reports. Got slowed down a bit because I got hit with fatigue. Either me not eating enough or eating the wrong things again. But, nothing I had was high in carbohydrates or sugars. I always check the  nutrition panel before I put something in my cart. Sometimes I compare or decide if I want to  take the risk or not. Sometimes I put things back.

I like when I find things on clearance like I did this past weekend. I foud some cookies marked down that were low in sugar and carbohydrates. $2 something when normally they were over $5. They're individually wrapped and the one I had brought with me got stuck in my bag. I forgot about it until a few minutes ago. If I had eaten that earlier, perhaps I wouldn't have gotten so tired. But, I can get tired without having anything. I'd like to go back to when I didn't have to constantly worry about such things or have enough revenue to where I don't need to worry about such things.

But now, I should worry about gathering the data for the final four or five people on my list. I can sort and format everything tomorrow.

@IsayUncle Either way is fine. I just happened to look and saw the post.

Anyways, to make things even more interesting, my retirement account is demanding that I pay back the loan I took shortly before the hotels shut down in 2020. I don't have the money to pay it back. If I don't, they'll treat it like a withdrawal and I'll have to do a penalty. Again, things sat dormant for over four years and now you're squawking about it? Why was none of this addressed before?? Why do I have to be responsible for everything? This wasn't my fault.

Any harm sending the harassing notification to them. we talkied about this befor, i think... phone contact... make you uncomfortable, but more effective communication, hmmm?

Have you followed up on 2nd lawyer?

You know it's normal (not that ur stupid or gullible) but it's extremely normal for companies to walk over you for thier gain... U know that... normal, right?

It sucks to make us be inconvenienced, but that's what they count on, with thier intimidation.... and sadly it works. That's why they do it.... it's just a normal way to win.

@IsayUncle I'd forgotten about the second lawyer. Have so much going on. This never ending thing, my health challenges, the elderly cat is sick (has a cold. Ordered some supplements I didn't know about but the reviews are solid and the product is natural and safe for cats. A holistic vet actually developed the product). She'd also do better if the dog wouldn't torment her but she's safe while I'm at work because the dog is in her crate. It's only when I get home and let the dog out that she gets stressed. I'm sure there's at least twenty other things I've forgotten (like the subscription fee I have to pay the university) about...

@Enthenia

You are preaching to the choir about all the obligations. There is no way to put out all the fires. You / We focus on the urgent priorities and then the day is done, with little or no breathing room for additional obligations that develope through no fault of our own.

Keep doing what your doing..... I mean, staying strong and pushing through the mundane. Staying focused on betterment but just holding the daily stuff at bay, is amazing. I think you're doing very good.

I hope the cat gets to feeling better soon. Pets are funny or intersting how they interact with each other. I have 5 dogs and they're mostly outside dogs but they do come in in the evening and in bad cold snowy weather they don't like that. But anyway they all pretty much sleep together on the softest spots they can find. But I have one that I call Grumpy Gus. He will not let anyone come close to thinking about laying with him. He will hog the whole Couch and if another dog just thinks about drifting in his shadow he starts growling and barking.

It's really funny the four other dogs pile up on the other couch while he owned that one couch all to himself. The real funny part is how the dogs will come in and look and you can see on their face they say oh no Gus is up there I can't jump on that couch. It's hilarious. Your poor cat probably dreads the time you come home and let the dog out, but they have their understandings too. She'll be OK.

@IsayUncle I think she's doing a little better. I have some Churus and I forced one on her before I left for the dentist (was a little late because the wind was stronger than when I went out with the dog) but when I noticed her sitting up in her hammock later in the afternoon, I tried giving her another one. I had to force her to take a bit in her mouth (her nose is stuffed up so she can't smell well which I get) but after she realized it was okay, she had a bit more.

The doctor visit was half and half. Lost 20lbs from the last time but the doctor asked about my heart and has prescribed an inhaler. I haven't had one of those since elementary school. I have noticed that sometimes my heart beats faster/harder but I figured that was because of the excess weight. I have to go back in a month for the bloodwork results.

Was able to get to the healthier grocery store and got the marrow bones for the dog. Also got a few things that were marked down. I like what they have, it's just getting there can be a problem for me.

@Enthenia

Congrats on the weight loss. I know you've been struggling to be able to afford food but I hope you give yourself some credit for picking the right foods losing some weight. Very good job on that! Maybe the inhaler will make you feel a little bit better from time to time, I never had to use one but I guess it could be a little bit of a pain in the but+t.

I live in a very small rural area, community wise so I only have one grocery store. I have several stores that I crave to go to. I can't reach them though, so maybe once a month or something like that I get to enjoy shopping at them.

churu... yay, glad she ate some.

@IsayUncle well the congratulations on the cat was premature. I'm pretty certain she's gone. She went out early yesterday morning and never came back. I don't know how the dog will handle tomorrow because she really does not being left all alone. I need to get a few groceries but I'm hesitant to. I didn't go yesterday because I was hoping the cat would come back.

She didn't.

@IsayUncle I doubt it. She was over fifteen and she had a cold. Her wanting to go out may have been her final wish. I knew I'd have to get the dog another friend eventually but I wasn't expecting it to be so soon and I don't really have the money for such things. I never seem to have money for anything.

@IsayUncle I think the dog knows something is off but she wasn't panicking when I left this morning. I looked at a couple of adoption sites. One only had cats over 10 years which I don't think would be a good match for the dog. Yes, that's what she had before but I had the cat before I had the dog. The dog showed up unexpectedly so there wasn't much I could do about it.

My brother glibly said that if it didn't work out, he could take her back but I wasn't going to do that to the dog. She had been transplanted once. She wouldn't have understood a second time. She keeps away from my brother when he comes to visit (which isn't often). I think she's afraid he'll take her away again.

I will have to get a companion for her. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, there are plenty of places to adopt. I just have to find one with the correct temperament.
