I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

YEA.... UR GONNA CRUSH IT!
P.S. It hasn't gone un-noticed. While trying to work everyday, you've added the Gym and some Yoga.
Please be aware, It could take one or two years to fit these puzzle pieces together, for a life YOU WANT.
Just imagine, that you want to design and build a beautiful puzzle of what you want. You've already taken care of step number one because you have a great design. But now you have go find a chainsaw so you can cut down a tree to start making your puzzle pieces. But you've already done that too You have cut down three trees, work gym and yoga.... And then the ever living, 4th tree; diet and self care.
This is where the journey begins. you cut the trees into boards at the thickness that you want them and you get the boards organized. And then you work through the shape of the puzzle pieces every day, which is a lot of work with all the twists and turns but you finally get a puzzle piece made and then you have to make another one to fit into that, And so it goes.
Throughout the process, your saw gets, The grain in the wood makes a puzzle piece break when you're almost done, sometimes the piece don't fit in there and try to hammer it in and end up breaking two pieces, and so the story goes. Do you just quit, with the trees cut down and you just get too discouraged and you don't wanna keep on shaping them puzzle pieces and putting them together.
Or do you do it again, refine your efforts, Learn how to get past the hard parts so at least one puzzle piece comes out smooth and it fits into the picture you have for yourself.
I hate to be the cliche, but it really is the journey! for a picture that you want to build for yourself. You got some pure puzzle pieces that you want to put together and it's doable. It will take time and sometimes you might just have to put the puzzle on the back burner for a minute because that's the best that you can do, but never ever not go back to the puzzle and continue where you left off.
I hope this isn't too weird, but you deserve to win, so dig in, take the losses on the chin, play the long game to: Win, (lose a little) Win, Win. (lose a little) Win again, Win Win and so on, To the BIG WIN for this year! UR GONNA GRUSH IT!
@IsayUncle
love you my personal motivator and life coach ❤️❤️
snowed in today and tomorrow—so guess what? GUILT FREE “ME” DAYS

@peachThinker662
Ah, you deserve some chill time 🤗🩷
@peachThinker662
That's awesome...... whew, take'em when you can get'em.

@IsayUncle
Holy moly.
I did the treadmill today and added the stretch class. I dis not realize how weak my left side really is. Guess it’s a good thing I had the surgery. 😅
It’s 8pm, had a snack, climbed into bed. Work tomorrow. Rumor has it more snow too 😩
I hope my body tired itself out for a good nights rest. ❤️❤️
@peachThinker662
Well, I think it's super smart with what you're doing. It's common sense as we get older we get weaker I guess you can say.
Anyone that's smart enough and disciplined enough to start taking care of their body when it still works, even if it is a little slower or a little weaker, and a little sorer are just brilliant.
Due to surgeries on my arms I was forced some physical therapies that I maintain now at the house because of my limited use but I am glad that I got use of my arms because I didn't for about a year. And also as I'm getting older, I ended up getting plantar fasciitis on my feet and his exercises for that my calves. There's just stuff that we can do, To prolong our flexibility.
It's not easy, but as long as the intention and the effort stays a constant, then you're doing really good.

Keep moving and shaking....... 😃
@IsayUncle
i don’t want to move right now…maybe later. I worked a long day yesterday. Idk if I had the wrong sneakers on, the gym the night before or the cold snowy weather but my feet, knees and hips don’t like me right now. Lots of crackles, pops , stiffness and ouchies.

It is almost March, isn't it?
My immediate goals are to get the reports done since I wasn't in the office Friday because I think they're due.
Keep the dog company because she lost her friend and pay things I need to pay.
There's probably a lot of other things I need to do but I can't think of them right now...
@Enthenia
Yep... we made it through! 😁. And that's a good thing, even if we didn't conquer any dragons... The battle continues!
@IsayUncle well the pup didn't want me to go this morning. I could tell how she was watching me leave. She didn't whine or anything but her eyes...
It was hard to leave her alone.
@Enthenia Aww it's so hard to leave them when they have that look on their face ❤️ You mentioned she lost a friend.... You didn't lose your kitty did you? I don't mean to pry or make assumptions... Sending you light and love ❤️
@mytwistedsoul yes we did. She went out one morning and didn't return. I guess she wanted her last moments to be outside. She was old. Over fifteen. I actually thought she was going to go a couple of years ago because she was acting the way the other one did before he went. Hid in a corner and wouldn't eat but she managed to pull through.
While I think that was better for the dog, I don't think the dog understands. She saw her friend go out and she hasn't come back. The place still smells of her too. I think that's why she keeps checking the cat tree. That's usually where the cat would be.
@Enthenia (offers safe hugs) I'm so sorry ❤️ Aww yeah you're right, your sweet pup just knows she's gone out and doesn't understand why she hasn't returned. It's heartbreaking to see them look for their friend 😞 That's always been the hardest goodbye for me, losing a pet. No matter how old they are or how prepared I think I am. Are you doing ok?
@mytwistedsoul yes. She was the last out of the animals I had before the Aussie. She was the reason why I wasn't going to get another animal. I thought she'd be too old to adjust but she managed. It does get hard opening the door and knowing that she won't be running up with her bell jingling but I knew her time was limited.
@Enthenia Yeah it's hard when you notice the things missing, like the sound of her bell and her tree sitting there. I'm glad you have your Aussie right now. Speaking from experience, coming home to a completely empty house is horrible. I hope you both comfort each other ❤️
@mytwistedsoul well we still have the tree. That can be reused. I will probably get rid of the fabric litter box though. I got one where the cats could jump down from the top because the dog likes to put her bones/chews into the litter box for some reason but the cats couldn't get the concept. I figured I'd hang onto it for when I eventually had another cat who was younger and could probably get used to jumping into the box.
The pup did well yesterday when I had to leave her to go to my appointment. I usually take the entire day off because going anywhere in this town takes like five hours. I left at ten-fifteen yesterday and didn't get back home until almost four. My appointment was at 12:35 (Thought it was 12:30). I still made it on time even with getting off at the wrong stop (haven't been down in that area for over a decade), road construction, etc. I was actually early and had enough time to get some water and play a game on my mobile for a bit. Tried to do it while I waited to be seen by the specialist but my eyes were dilated so looking at the screen made my head hurt. I listened to the renovation show they had on HGTV. Looking at the television for too long made my head hurt too. Most of my time in the office was waiting to be seen just to be told that I'm doing okay and come back in six months.
I will have to get a pair of sunglasses for when I go back. August sun is much stronger than February's. I had to squint to cross the street after my appointment was finished because the light was too bright. Fortunately I managed navigating the street even with the road construction and I didn't have to wait long for my bus. I had missed one but another one showed up and sat for a couple of minutes. The light was much better for me inside the bus and I saw how much construction was being done. I thought it was bad near where I live but they seemed to have half the street I was on torn up. I'm glad I used to do inventories because I would have to go all over town by bus so at least I knew the layout of cross streets even though my sight was temporarily diminished.
And, the connecting bus I took let me off at the stop in front of the grocery store (it's the stop I use when I go to work) so I was able to get the dog some more plain yogurt and her cherries. She ran out of the cherries the other day and the second grocery store near me didn't have them on sale. I didn't want to pay close to $6 for them when I could get them for $3.50 elsewhere. She didn't seem panicked when I got home and I took her out to play once I put things into the freezer. She was out for over an hour.
But I still think she'd do better with someone else in the apartment when I'm at work. She stays in her crate while I'm gone all day so she can't tear anything up but another presence would help keep her calm.
@Enthenia I'm glad to read that you'll eventually get another cat! Yeah it makes sense to hold on to that stuff. Replacing or having to buy new, they're probably a lot more expensive now.
@mytwistedsoul They can eat a lot of things! Strawberries, blueberries, pineapple and watermelon (not often because of the sugar content), broccoli, spinach, etc. Dog likes when I do broccoli with cheese. She can have the cheese too. They can do carrots and bananas too but mine doesn't like those anymore. She always spits out the carrots when I try to give them to her. Did the same with the bananas so I don't get them for her anymore.
I sent an inquiry to one of the adoption places in town. I got a standardized email back. Haven't looked at it yet. They're across town too. Not sure if I'd want to go all that way by bus. I'd have to get a carrier which I'd have to get eventually but I don't know if it would be fair to the cat. I mean, taking the cat from the shelter would be stressful enough but going by bus with all the noise...
It's not something I have to worry about now but it's something to consider as I look. Relocating is going to be enough of a trial for the animal. I don't know if I want to add to it.
@Enthenia Yogi hasn't had a chance to try watermelon yet. They're hard to find here right now and if you're lucky and do find one, they're unbelievably expensive. I was always told they couldn't have broccoli, recently I found out differently. He does like broccoli and cheese would be the icing on the cake for him. And green beans! The little guy goes nuts for green beans. He's not a fan of bananas either. I'm not either tbh 😅
@mytwistedsoul mine isn't crazy about green beans. I've tried with her but she spits them out.
Some people who work in the office from time to time said some agencies allow the current pets to check out other animals but I don't know. I think all the noise would be too stressful for her and I'm not sure about the cats. I mean, many don't like dogs and they're stressed enough with being in a shelter.
Right now, I'm dealing with the stress from the leak (apparently the plumbers are afraid of the dog) and stress from work (worked right through lunch, didn't even clock out then wound up clocking out two minutes late which made me have fifteen minutes of overtime, and my chest felt tight from the stress) and I remembered why I wanted to do another degree. But, right now, I don't have time for such things.
@Enthenia It's funny how unique our pets can be 😊
@mytwistedsoul I don't know. I think the plumbers are really confused. The office called back. Didn't the mention the dog and told me I had to clean the kitchen and the bathroom. Why? If it was a hot water pipe upstairs which damaged the carpet in the hallway and bedroom, why do I need to clean my kitchen and bathroom? The closet on the upstairs balcony isn't near either room. I'll do it. Not sure where I'll put the kitchen table. Probably shove it to a corner and stack the chairs I guess but it doesn't make sense. If the pipe originates from the water heater which is outside, why do I have to clean and shift things in two rooms which are nowhere near the outside?
All I can think about is my upstairs neighbors being without hot water since Sunday because of me.
@Enthenia Yeah wow I don't know either. It sounds really weird that they want you to move all this furniture around when it doesn't sound like it's in anyone's way to do the work.
@mytwistedsoul I meant the delays because of the dog and work. But yes, I'd like to be able to use my bedroom and bed again. I think the dog would like being under the bed like normal. Been using a collapsible mattress in the living room that I stash away each morning but it's not all that comfortable but it's better than the hard floor. The carpet's dry in the bedroom but the carpet guy hasn't come to get his fan and to replace the carpet in the hallway. I don't even know what company he's with. He just knocked at my door at 10pm Sunday...
What they should have done was consult with the maintenance guy that came on Sunday. He saw the damage. He knows what happened. The only reason I can think of them wanting me to clean the bathroom and kitchen...no that doesn't make sense either. If they plan to tear up the floor, why have me clean it? And why would they need to tear up the floors when the leak wasn't even there? As soon as I mentioned to the maintenance guy about my neighbor stating that he had no hot water, he said it was the hot water pipe and that they might have to open the wall.
But, I'd think a plumber would be able to tell the area that needed to be worked on based on the surrounding area. carpet in the hallway and bedroom has recent water damage. Wouldn't it make sense that the problem is around there? I took the shelf out of the bathroom. Was really the only thing there aside from the stone bath mat. Pushed the kitchen table over to a corner and stacked extra chairs. If that's not good enough for them, I don't know what to do. Over half of the floor is open now. I hope there's not too much damage when I get home...
@Enthenia Oh no you can't blame yourself for that stuff! You have to work and you have a dog. That's just the way it is. You can't be the only person they've done work for that has a dog. They're just lucky she is in a crate during the day because I'm sure that a lot of customers don't.
@mytwistedsoul actually I'm not really thinking about it. Just hope it's not too much for the dog.
Also have work nonsense to deal with. Got a day wrong on a report I did in January. Read it as 27 but it was 21. Only mistake out of 68 which is an error rate of 0.01% and I'm told to do better and to pay attention to details more. Better? How? Pay attention to details more? I have to manually collect the data, enter it into two different web forms, gather IDs from numerous places or change the expiration dates on some of them because people are too lazy to do so even when the ID has been updated, I pull professional licenses and criminal data when available (which no one else does), fix files and file names, etc. and I'm expected to do better?? And this is coming from someone who really has no decision over whether I work the next day or not. They have a title but no real authority.
But there's 11 of them with titles and I think a few of them are power-hungry. One I discovered had deleted the data I had saved and done their own spreadsheet with expenses. The report the person was written up for was for deposits only. The expenses were irrelevant. I've been the only one doing these reports since we first started doing them but he went and changed everything. And then he wanted me to email the corporate office for a report even though one was done in December. The reason I had to do the report last month was because of the report done in December. There was an open bankruptcy. If it had not existed, I wouldn't have needed to do my report. That's how I found out all the data I had saved was deleted because I had deposit information on it. So I had to step away from what I was trying to finish to pull that data all over again which made what I was trying to finish late and I can't say anything about it because there is no leadership or management. Besides, what the leads, supervisors, whatever you want to call them say is the gospel and we cannot deviate from that. That has never actually been said but there are strong implications to that effect in how things are worded.
That was the main reason why I wanted to go back to school so I could leave but that's on hold right now. I don't know if I'll be able to get back to it or not but I definitely don't want to spend a lifetime here. It feels like I already have been here a lifetime.
So I got home. Bathroom and kitchen looked just like I left them. there was some water on the patio and a mop I don't own. Turned off the carpet fan. Have no idea when that will be retrieved but I moved the shelf back into the bathroom and for the first time since Saturday, I can sleep in the bedroom.
I don't know if anything was done or not but I did what I was told to do.
Friday I discovered the dog in her crate down the hallway with her bed shoved into a corner. I was annoyed because no one said they were coming in on Friday and they had no right to move her. Let the manager in the office know and he said he'd look into it and get back to me but nothing yet. Carpet is still half of the floor too.
Fortunately the dog was fine even though I have to get her a new bed. She chewed a portion of it. I don't know if whoever moved her shoved it into the crate as a means of protection but there was absolutely no reason to put her in the hallway. Some stranger comes and attempts to move her in her crate of course she's going to get aggressive.
Nothing was missing from the apartment so I don't think it was theft.
@Enthenia
oh man, that's not right. i hope who did it gets repimanded and apoligizes to you.... but I doubt that will happen.
@IsayUncle those are my sentiments as well.
@IsayUncle
Love your thread! Goal is to finish school strong!!! In two more months, I will graduate. So Excited!!!
@competentSunshine2284
Thank You! That is, so, sO, SOOOOO AWESOME. Don't lose focus, you got this! You deserve all the excitement that you've earned. + more! Good For You!
(What'ya Studying?)
Were there times, when you didn't think you were going to make it? If so, What was the biggest obstacle you overcame? How did you do it? (If you wish to share) 😀🤪
WE ARE EXCITED WITH YOU!
WOOOO WHOOOO!
I copied this from the other week. I totally don't know what day it is, let alone what week it is. I know it's Friday. That's about it. I'd remove the post from the wrong week but I don't think I have that power.
Anyways, I don't know if this counts as motivation but when I turned on my mobile this morning, I had a deposit notice to my bank account. As I got paid yesterday, I was curious although I was not complaining at the deposit. I checked it once I got into the office and it was from my employer so I guess a bonus? I am grateful for it because I was able to put $400 on the rent app. I don't know how much else I will need to put down as it's not the first of the month and the app needs that info to figure out how much to split the rent. But, I have $400 earmarked. I still have other bills to get caught up on, paid down/off but at least I have part of the rent down which is way better than I have been for the past few months.
The dog seems to be getting used to the silence even though she started barking and whining at the door early this morning. Was about the time when the cat would want to go out or in (depending on where she was) so I opened the door a crack for the dog to look. There was nothing there. On our way back from the dog area, she spotted a stray and wanted to play with it. That may have been what got her whining ealier. I really will need to get her a new friend...
@Isayuncle I wasn't sure which one to respond to. It made me feel okay I guess. But later I got lectured by one of the supervisors about how entered in the description for one of the reports and I put the location in wrong for one of them. It's rare that I have to write these people up but again, I'm expected to remember every little detail on things I haven't done in months.
Then the same supervisor says it's no big deal. If it's not a big deal, why bring it up? Or, if you want consistency, maybe get consistent with all the supervisors and then have regular check-ins with the gnomes? I just don't like the after the fact belittlement and if it's because the eleven supervisors can't keep things straight then there's something wrong. But what do I know? I'm a gnome/drone/worker ant/whatever you want to call me. The rank and file aren't supposed to have an opinion or think.

Hello Everyone!

Today is the last day of Week #9 of 2026
The Winter Months were very tough this year, For many of us!
Those days are fading into the past.
Fresh hopeful starts are knocking at our doors.
The Start of March, The End of Week # 9.
Let us Begin Affresh, With the Daffodills, and Whippoorwills.

Last week was a rough week for me. Been feeling under the weather and not as motivated as I usually am. But I gave myself some time and am now back at it. Thinking that there is a light at the end of this tunnel is so vital for me. Finishing school at 43 with 4 young children to care for has not been easy, and let's not even talk about working full-time while doing all these things. Again, just think of the end goal and result.
@competentSunshine2284
heHey, I wish I had seen this post Earlier, when a little support might helpful. After a hard winter I finally got some work. I've been working long hours so I haven't been on the site too much this week. I'm glad that you made it through and you're back at it.
There is light at the end of the tunnel. I rebuilt myself at the age of 60 And finally all the pieces fit. I was never really in control but I just kept going in what I thought was the right direction. Now I have some Peace of Mind, but trust me nothing is perfect and times can still be hard. But, I have things in some sensible order. I did that after 60, (U @ 43 will get it, and have more good years in front of you than me). It came from not giving up. ALL the stuff, I learned up to that time came in handy, to guide and shape me, as I moved forward.
So with that little rant, I hope you stay encouraged, and you will get to the light, at the end of the tunnel. It's SO worth it. 😊.
Full time will be tough... there is no lying about or sugar coating that. And I couldn't imagine doing it with four young children. But you will figure it out, and you can do it. And it will take time to get shaped into the new and improved you! Wooo Whooo... Coming Soon!
Please keep me posted, as time allows. I think you're gonna do good.
