A Goals Game... Idea. (Anyone one else have some tricks?)

I think I’ve invented a Goal Attaining Game. (Maybe not but here it is anyway)

Step 1) List all your specific little goals for one day.

Step 2) Attach a time limit to each goal. The more time you think it will take, the more points you give it.

Step 3) YOU divide all the points to the goals accordingly to equal 100 points for the day.

Rule: There is no subtracting points for chores/goals not done or met.

Rule: If a task/goal was harder and longer but you finished it anyway, you can add what you think are fair bonus points at the end of the day. (For the saying… I gave 110% today)

Step 4) Plan your Game for the day.

Step 5) Ready, Set Go… Start your tasks and chores for the goals of the day.

Step 6) When your day is done ADD UP all the points you earned for completed goals.

Advantages of this Game: It Is per Individual. Example: All I think I can do is Make bed, Make Breakfast, wash dishes and Pay One Bill

(Make bed -easy for me -20% points)

(Make breakfast-easy for me -20% points)

(Wash dishes- medium for me -30% points)

(Pay Bill-medium for me-30% points)

YOU DID THEM ALL…. YAY 100 % for the day! Good Job.

The beauty of this game is if you use it on a daily basis and are always getting 100 points, that’s great but you might want to add a bit more to your day to challenge yourself. The same thing applies to always getting less than 100 points or consistently low scores, perhaps you’re putting too much on your plate very day.

MY REALITY GAME TODAY

Do dishes - 5 points

Fold laundry - 5 points

Daily cooking - 5 points

Sweep and vacuum floors - 20 points

Sort office and paperwork - 20 points

Log all receipts - 15 points

Pay and log all bills - 20 points

Review and log Credit card and Banking statements - 20 points

My total points here are 110 points so I already know I have to give 110% effort all day today. If I do not feel like doing that, I can decide now to drop a couple of chores… But I’m going to try it!

Hey @IsayUncle, good to see you again. I see you're making great use of this space and yay, here for it. That's a lovely game, adding scores sure feels satisfactory, when done consistently on a regular basis, as it can help in improving self-esteem and being a driving force of motivation as well. Fantastic idea. ❤

Super proud of you for working on your goals, and meeting them regularly. Keep at it.

That point system worked real well for me. There were several times i want slack off but i wanted to get all my points more. It really worked. I have not finished all my tasks like that in a very long time.

I gave a 110% today and finished every goal! BOSS!
